Absolute Paradise!
We have just returned from a week at the Bahia Pez Vela resort near Playas del Coco in Guancaste Costa Rica. The resort, about an hour from Liberia, is located on a secluded hillside overlooking the calm Pacific. It is breathtakingly beautiful.The red-tiled roofs of the private homes add color to the green landscaping and contrast to the blue of the ocean and sky. The grounds are lush and beautifully maintained.Our 3 bedroom plus casita villa was perfect for the seven of us. My daughters and children had the main house and I got to retreat to the privacy of the own apartment. The house is spacious, attractively decorated, comfortable and cool with red tile floors. It offers every comfort and amenity. The open floorplan made it easy to gather for meals and socializing. We also spent eary mornings on the outdoor patio overlooking the Pacific, llistening to the monkeys and bird watching.The children spent most mornings at the pool or beach - swim toys, boogie boards and snorkling equipment provided.Soluna, the open air restaurant, was lovely, and we had many delicious meals there. Breakfast was especially good!We rented a golf cart for the week to get around. The children loved it! We went into town several times and also to Father Rooster for dinner a couple of times.The office staff were so helpful in arranging activities. We enjoyed the half day sail and full day adventure tour.All in all it was a magical week in a beautiful place. 5 STARS!
