Great stay on Bowen island

Beautiful property in a great location on Bowen island. Great outdoor areas to watch the sunset and great inside/outside living with a vast functional kitchen. Helen communicated well through the stay - would love to come back!

Bright, relaxing home

The house was very warm and relaxing, with a fantastic kitchen and incredible view. Highly recommend the nearby hike along the SW shore of the island by the lighthouse. Communication with the hosts was quick and helpful. The only downsides were the hot tub wasn't on and there's no TV, if those are important to you (it's possible we could have turned on the hot tub, but we didn't need it and didn't ask).

Lovely ocean view home on Bowen Island, Tunstall Bay area

This very comfortable home has sweeping views of the ocean and mountains beyond. Easy access, well-appointed and clean. We would stay here agin for sure. Helen was very helpful before and during our stay. Well done!

Relaxing Break

Great stay - house is very well laid out - loved the fully opening wall of windows from the living area to the deck - nice summer breeze! Kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need for cooking, including spices. Beds were very comfortable . Beautiful sunsets from the deck!!! Will definitely be back.

Our stay at this rental was lovely! It has everything you could need, very comfortable beds, and an incredible view that was enjoyed from a great deck. Helen was very responsive and helpful. We did miss having a tv in the evenings after our active days, so we were glad we’d brought along our own entertainment. No TV was listed on the online ad, so we came prepared. The only thing that’s a bit unexpected was that there are no screens on any of the windows. It’s not a big deal for many, but for those with allergies to certain insect bites, it might be important to know. Especially in warmer months when opening windows helps cool things down.

We loved staying at the home on Bowen Island. The view was incredible, the fireplace was wonderful, and the couches and beds were incredibly comfortable. Everyone had such deep and long sleeps. The quiet was so necessary for our family from the city who needed a place to just have peace. Our communication with the host was great. One of the fire alarms was beeping and we weren't able to shut it off. The host attended to it as soon as they could and we didn't have any more problems with it for the rest of the stay. One issue, which the host had noted on their information booklet left inside the home, was the stovetop elements worked only on one side of the stove. This made cooking big meals a bit more challenging. As well, the stovetop was operated all by electric buttons which had noise sensors which beeped anytime there was dishes sitting on the stovetop or if the stovetop reached a certain temperature. This was a bit troublesome, but again, the host had communicated that this would happen in their booklet. All in all, we absolutely loved this home. We recommend using the fire every night. We were able to talk, laugh, and share stories on the couches while watching the logs burn. It was a wonderful place to rest during the holidays as a family. Thank you to the host. *Also, the home is a lovely walk from Tunstall Beach and we enjoyed walking there together during the day and looking for rocks and shells, and taking in the beautiful views. This was a lovely memory. Thank you.

I fell in love with this property, the view is phenomenal!! House was clean, beds were comfortable, almost everything you would need the house had available. Because of this house, we had the most amazing vacation at Vancouver. Also, Helen, host, was very communicative, there was no hot water on Saturday morning, but Helen made it happen and we were taken care of same day. I would just recommend you do your homework, especially with the ferry schedules as if you plan to visit other places, you need to go back to Vancouver and off again to another island, which means another ferry (no direct ferry to anywhere else other than back to horseshoe bay(Vancouver). This is a BEAUTIFUL place, look no further!
