Large Country House

House was convenient to town and easy to get in/out except for construction on the interstate. It was a quiet location, made you feel like you were really far out in the country. The home had a nice kitchen with a nice large living/dining area. It worked well for our family weekend.

Peaceful Stay

The location was perfect, close to the interstate yet it felt like we were way out in the country. Our dogs were traveling with us and the fenced area out the backdoor was perfect. We will remember this lication for future stays. Randy and Deborah D.

Overall the entire experience was wonderful! There were a few complications. One of them being - My 2yr old nephew ended up in the ER due to being stug 15 times by a wasps nest that had formed underneath the swing Other than that we will be back, the family just fell in love with the place! We had a wonderful experience with the management- they were on top of it all!

Family weekend in the country! The kitchen was well equiped for our cooking needs and we especially appreciated the large refrigerator. The great room was comfortable and the dining table was perfect for playing cards and dominoes. Outside is rustic yet scenic. Owner was responsive to items that needed attention.

Nice, private place

Overall, we enjoyed this property. It is very private. We did not have horses but the barn looked really nice. The owner was very responsive.

Bassmaster Classic Get-Away

The Pendleton Ranch was exactly what we needed for our trip to Ray Roberts Lake and Fort Worth for the Bassmaster Classic. The property my was close enough to the highway to make commuting easy but far enough away from the city where it felt like a trip to the farm. Communication with Peter was timely and the ranch was classic and tidy with plenty of amenities and things to do within minutes of the property.

Reunion with old friends

We had a wonderful weekend at the property. Everything was as described. I asked questions before going and had prompt answers! We were able to prepare all meals in the spacious kitchen which was well stocked. There was a keurig for the coffee drinkers. We used grill and fire pit outside as well. We enjoyed sitting on porch looking across beautiful pasture and yard. It is out in the country very peaceful with nature at your fingertips. The property owners were very responsive and kind!Found fresh good meat and produce at Lows grocery store in town. We will probably meet again here! We were all very pleased with everything!

Several Flaws

I booked this property because we were attending a wedding in the area and I needed space for two families. The listing showed outdoor space and a trampoline which would be great for the child who was traveling with us. We get there and there was no trampoline, not a deal breaker but very disappointing. The house seemed clean minus the floors but I think that has to do with the type of tile. There were a lot of bugs in the house but it is the country and there had been quite a bit of rain. There was a holder for paper towels in the kitchen but no paper towels so we had to go and purchase some since we were eating meals there. Which I will say was annoying since there is a full kitchen. The bed in the master bedroom had a foam mattress topper but none of the other beds did and they were like sleeping on a rock. I went out and bought a mattress topper so that I could get some rest the second night. Here is the real issue I had with the property…the ladder 4 ft from the bunk beds that appeared to lead to nowhere. I saw it in the pictures and thought we can move it or fold it up. When we got there it was bolted to the floor and had no covering to prevent a child from climbing up. In my opinion this is just asking for an accident. I am giving the property 2 stars due to the inaccurate listing and safety issues.

If you're looking for a getaway just 15 minutes from WinStar and a nice quiet secluded, beautiful home this is the place for you! We took our family here for three nights and everyone was saying how we wished we owned the property LOL the owner is very quick to get back to you with a text and answer any questions that you may have. We will definitely be staying there again!

Lovely Stay!

We had a lovely stay at this farmhouse—it was perfect for our small family. The home was clean, comfortable, and had a welcoming atmosphere that made it easy to relax.The only challenge was when we first checked in. The house was extremely hot, and a few of the ceiling fans were not working, so we had to go out and purchase additional fans just to stay comfortable for the first night. Fortunately, once the air conditioning had enough time to cool the house down, the rest of our stay was much more enjoyable.A couple suggestions for future summer guests would be: 1. To have the AC turned on about 12 hours before check-in so the home is already at a comfortable temperature upon arrival. 2. Maybe have some of the grass areas around the house mowed/maintained shorter so we could have sat outside to enjoy the view of your beautiful property. With these small improvements, the experience would have been excellent.Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend this farmhouse to families looking for a peaceful getaway.
