The local host was very accomodating and helped us set up car rentals, dinner plans, boat trips, etc. House and views were great (as advertised!) and the friendly house staff kept the house clean for us every day. Would stay there again!

Beautiful property in the paradise island of Anguilla. We were very happy with the house … truly the feel of a home away from home. The property manager Michelle as well as Angelina, the daily care taker of house were excellent! We will definitely be back.

The home was beautiful, the management and the staff were awesome, and the views were amazing. The beach at the home was unfortunately full of seaweed, so we couldn't swim in it, but it was easy enough hiring a car to go to all of the other really nice beaches on the island. We had a really nice time.

Amazing property, amazing staff, amazing vacation

This villa met - and far exceeded - every hope we had for our stay in Anguilla. From the arrangements the property managers helped us make ahead of time, to the on-site housekeeper during our stay, everything was wonderful.The pictures and description of Villa Alegria are exactly what you get. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable. The property is beautifully landscaped. And if you're looking for an extra special treat during your stay, book Chef Tyrone for your dinners!We were looking for a special place for our family to celebrate a big milestone and Villa Alegria left us with the best memories of an amazing vacation.

Perfect!

Don’t hesitate - reserve this one now! Family of 5 enjoyed this luxury beachfront experience for 9 days, and everything was just perfect. Lots of space, inside and out. Amazing views. We never wanted to leave the house lol. Property manager and owner very responsive. DAILY cleaning included at house. Owner went out of his way to ensure we had the right TV channels and apps to watch the Paris Olympics while we were there. Small technical difficulty when we were there - and owner made it right with complimentary massages at the house - now THAT is customer service. Prestocked the home with groceries before we arrived. Service and home we just amazing. HIGHLY recommend to any and all.

Family Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Alegria!! The house was amazing and just as described/pictured in the listing.The beds were extremely comfortable and all the linens were top quality. Michelle was helpful before hand with arranging rental cars and providing ferry information. Our initial flight was canceled and our luggage was lost on the way there but Michelle came to the rescue and gave us the name of a store where we could buy swimsuits and other necessities. Angelina (the housekeeper) came every day but Sunday and kept the house neat and clean and put fresh flowers in our bathroom. She even did laundry for us one day. We felt so pampered and would not hesitate to return! Don’t hesitate to book this home - you won’t regret it!

Incredible Property

Villa Alegria was the perfect home for our vacationing family. My husband and I traveled with my parents, and our youngest daughter (age 12). There was plenty of room for another child or two to have shared the room where my daughter slept, and with the other two well appointed bedrooms, we didn't even need to use the guest house. When you first enter the home, the view of the ocean and sound of crashing waves will immediately place you in "vacation mode". The ocean view is stunning, and the home is impressive without being ostentatious. We enjoyed the refreshing pool daily, and had the beach area to ourselves most days. Angelina, the housekeeper was wonderful, and attentive. We especially enjoyed the fact that we were not on a resort, as there were more opportunities for us to roam around Anguilla and interact with the residents of Anguilla, who we all found to be friendly and welcoming.

Adventure in Anguilla

Our group of 11 had a wonderful week at Villa Alegria. We enjoyed the spacious patio and pool every day. We did have a little trouble getting the hot tub to work and one of the AC units wasn’t fully working, but both things did get fixed. We also had many mosquitoes biting us, but eventually we found the slow burn coils that helped a lot. We would have liked it if the gate to enter the property wasn’t broken, but overall our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. We were happy we had our rental cars to go visit Shoal Bay beach an the gorgeous resorts around the island. Our boat day to St. Barths with Gotcha Garfield was superb even though we had to postpone it to the end of the week due to rough seas. Villa Alegria did prove to be a great place for our group to call home for our adventure.

Fantastic Stay At A Gorgeous Property

Can’t say enough about our wonderful stay here- the pictures are super accurate and the outside space is phenomenal. Angelina was a great housekeeper and Barbara and Michelle were wonderful concierges - we were very well taken of and would absolutely recommend this property. Hopefully, we will be visiting again in the near future.

Wonderful villa for a family vacation!

We were 6 adults and 2 children, ages 3 years and 6 months. The house worked very well for our stay: It is right on the ocean, with magnificent views of the mountains of St-Marten in the distance (they can be seen from the back of the house, infinity pool, and Jacuzzi, all integrated in a lovely and inviting design) ; it has a small beach nearby (usually empty) that provides a perfect introduction to waves and sand castles for small children; it is very nicely laid out, with privacy for each couple yet lots of common spaces, indoor and outdoor; and it is beautifully appointed everywhere. The only two things to keep in mind are (1) the house is not air-conditioned, only the bedrooms and media room are, and (2) there were quite a few mosquitoes at the time we visited, in the morning and evening especially, which required closing doors and windows. Insect repellent helped, as did the breezes from the ocean. The island is easy to get around, it has beautiful beaches as well as many wonderful restaurants and pastry shops, and its people are very welcoming and friendly. All in all, a wonderful setting for a family vacation!

Wonderful

I had a wonderful time at this property! Everyone was super friendly! We brought a group of 8 to celebrate my girlfriends 30th and it was amazing! There was plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably. The pool is sooo big and beautiful. The house keeping staff was working very hard every day. The Built in speakers by the infinity pool were such a great touch. Anguilla has soo many tasty restaurants that it became hard to choose! But my favorite part id have to say was the night of the private chef. Chef Tyrone was absolutely amazing and the food was perfect. The Villa is very close to blowing point boat terminal which makes it easy to get there. And I’d like to give a huge shoutout to Michelle for letting me know that my friend left his credit card and going above and beyond to bring it to the terminal before the boat left!!! Talk about service. Thank you for guys everything

Villa Alegria is phenomenal!! The housekeeper and concierge are perfection, the villa is located is such a great area and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect family vacation! I would give this villa 12/10 stars it’s so amazing and we are already looking to re-book our stay for next year!

Wonderful family escape

We loved staying at the Villa Alegria! The house was amazing and the property manager helped arrange everything for our infant (crib, high chair, etc.) as well as COVID-related testing. The hot water in the hot tub was broken for one day but it was quickly resolved upon contacting the property manager. We would definitely return!

Beautiful home

The home was neat and very clean! I loved our housekeeper and chef! We did have to be in the car a good bit to get to the clear water beaches but it was worth it. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Great Getaway with Friends

The house was perfect for our getaway with three other couples. The bedrooms were spaced out perfectly so that everyone had their privacy but there were also plenty of spaces to gather together. The house was also perfect for privacy from neighbors and our crown stayed up fairly late so we were glad that we didn't worry about upsetting anyone. Of course we wish that COVID guidelines would have been easier but that should happen soon. The house doesn't have much of a beach but we didn't miss that at all since we went to other beaches most every day. The only set back was the mosquitos but the house manager sprayed for them the second day and that seemed to help. We will definitely be back!

Family / Senior Trip

The home was wonderfully appointed - the staff/ driver / concierge/ etc make everything enjoyable and pleasant! Even during the final week of fees to arrive and all of the paperwork chaos - once in Anguilla - life was wonderful and we were happy campers for sure! Maintenance did have to visit the property a few times at the end of the week due to a water issue - so hopefully everything will be wonderful for the next group to arrive :) Definitely would do it again!!

Picture Perfect!

I had such high expectations for this house (and our trip to Anguilla) and it truly surpassed all of them! First of all, before we even arrived, Barbara was incredibly helpful in suggesting fun activities and restaurants. She made everything so easy for us. She booked our transfers from St. Maarten to Anguilla, she arranged for our rental cars (which is a must) and had them waiting upon our arrival, she booked our full day of boating (another absolutely must and the highlight of our trip), she booked a chef for us (I wish we would have had the chef come more than once...it was phenomenal!) and made reservations for our meals out. It was incredibly helpful! Once we arrived, Michelle, the villa manager took over and helped us with anything we needed! She had the villa stocked with our food requests and made us a cocktail and cookies upon our arrival! We even left a phone in the rental car and returned the car. Michelle tracked it down and had it dropped off at the villa. She's wonderful! Also, the housekeeping staff was amazing. The villa was pristine! This was truly one of the best vacations ever and it was mostly because of this incredible house and the amazing team of people working to make our stay so special. When go come back to Anguilla we will absolutely head back to Villa Alegria.

Fantastic stay!!!

Our family of 6 had an absolutely wonderful week. The house is breathtaking; Angelina keeps it superbly clean and is very helpful with any questions/needs. The view is breathtaking from the pool and hot tub, bedrooms, porch, kitchen. You can't go wrong! We had a couple excellent dinners cooked in which was a thoroughly relaxing way to spend the evening. I think we might have done this more often had we known how great it would be. The cost was basically the same as eating out. Tyrone and Shauna make a great team and prepared 2 delicious meals. Kylon prepared an excellent Thanksgiving dinner. We rented our car through Grumbsie car rentals which couldn't have been simpler(picked up and dropped off at the ferry) and was the cheapest rate around. We went on a private full day boat trip to most of the surrounding Islands and this was definitely a highpoint. We went with the boat company Calypso and had Zeke and Grant as our fantastic captain and crew. I could go on and on but suffice it to say we had a perfect vacation and will stay here again whenever we return.

Villa Alegria exceeded our expectations in every way! Neil, Barbara, Michelle and Angie rock!!

The renting experience has been amazing. All questions were answered quickly and clearly. Neil, Barbara, Michelle, and Angie were the very best!! We can’t imagine coming back to Anguilla and not staying at Villa Alegria!! And we will definitely be back! Shout out to Tyrone Hughes and Shawna also! Awesome chef and just great company!!

Hello, we are Neil and Wendy Freeman and we are the owners of the beautiful Villa Alegria. We live in the United States, but make frequent trips to Villa Alegria to relax and recharge. Hospitality is in our blood. In addition to Villa Alegria, we are part owners in several hotels in the United States. We have three amazing grown children and two grandchildren who often join us at Villa Alegria and on our travels around the world. We welcome you to our home in paradise and encourage you to give us a call. We can help with travel plans, as well as answer any questions you have about Anguilla and the surrounding islands. Neil is also an avid scuba diver and can give you the inside information on the best outfitters and dive spots! In Anguilla, we are also the co-developers of the new Tranquility Beach Anguilla condominium resort on Meads Bay Beach and helped found Anguilla's annual epicurean festival, the Anguilla Culinary Experience.
