Classic Kiwi Bach in prime location

You are 5 minutes walk to Surfclub, Blackies cafe and flagged swimming in this original kiwi bach.

This bach has all the basics you need for a kiwi beach holiday.
Perfect for children & dog lovers as the section is fully fenced. Also a cute kennel for your pooch with main beach across road via reserve for walks.

This original Whangamata Bach has the normal sort of quirks you would expect e.g. shower in separate room outside with laundry , concertina door and other original features and decor.

The space
Original whangamata bach built in 1948. It’s a small, simply furnished, modest holiday house.
We have recently purchased with a view to updating and improving. We welcome you to our cute beach paradise.

Great property!

Loved our stay! Lovely little bach - cosy & comfortable, really great location & very well set up for guests & we appreciated the care & thought that had gone into this. Great communication with the owners, can’t recommend more highly.

Great location

We had a nice stay, the bach is in a fabulous location, just a short wander to the beach, it was very comfortable and fully fenced so great to be able to take our small dog.

Best location!

Our little family had the best time at Karen and Nigel's batch. It had everything we needed and we could even bring our dogs along! Communication was great. We look forward to returning!

Hosts are lovely and the place has everything you need and some. Is an old skool bach, wonky but wonderful. Location is great and fully fenced is great. Thank you for letting us stay.

Wonderful batch

We had a great stay at this beautiful batch. The location is perfect - just across from the park, beach and blackies cafe. Fenced section was a win too for the kids and dog. Highly recommend!

Classic kiwi bach in outstanding location

We loved this little old fashioned bach, all the quirks and the character. And so close to the best beach in NZ. Its well set up with multiple places both in and out to gather or alternatively hide with a book. Great communication with the hosts who were very generous with the extras: books, games, boogie boards etc. Look forward to returning in the future.

Awesome little bach, handy to everything. Perfect for our family of 4. Bach had everything we needed. Laundry facilities, full fridge/freezer and a dishwasher! A added bonus we could take our little dog. Thank you.

Wonderful traditional bach

Great little traditional bach in a great location, one block back from the beach. Perfect for a beach holiday with the family and pet (fully fenced garden was a huge bonus) All amenities provided and very welcoming and communicative hosts. Will definitely return.... if we can get a booking!

Nice, traditional beach bach, close to a great beach. Hosts were very nice, honest and helpful when we had some problems with some of the facilities.

Perfect location

It was our first time using bookabach, and it turned out really well! Great little bach very close to the beach. Easy communication with the hosts. Apparently, the guests before us had had a bit of a party, but the place was clean and tidy when we arrived. Would definitely recommend!

Cute little batch

Overall was great and was really nice to be allowed to pop in early to put up tree after requesting.A little high on the price range given how old the place is, however, still a cute batch. Friends paid a lot less and over new years for a new, larger house, closer to town so was just comparing it to that. Cleanliness I gave 4 because there was a dirty dish left in the sink.

Comfortable, pet friendly accommodation in an excellent location. Very close to the beach - just a short walk across the park to the patrolled swimming area. Fully fenced for both privacy and pet safety. Comfortable beds. Very clean and tidy. We had a lovely stay!
