My experience at this property was well below expectations. The home was not adequately prepared for our families arrival, with significant cleanliness and maintenance issues noticeable throughout. This took away from what should have been a special weekend. During our stay, we also experienced multiple situations that made us feel uncomfortable and concerned for our privacy and security. These included undisclosed cameras, some positioned to face into bedrooms and common areas, the host demanding additional funds after we arrived or we would need to leave the property immediately, and the host, along with unidentified individuals entering the property while my family and I were present. The host’s communication and conduct were neither professional nor consistent with Stayz policies. As a result, we were only able to remain at the property for one night out of the three booked. We have lodged a formal complaint with Stayz, for multiple policy breaches, including the recovery of additional funds obtained outside the platform. Please let this act as a warning for any future guests.While the property itself has potential, the host’s management and approach created an overall uncomfortable and unacceptable experience. I would not recommend staying here under the current host’s management.

Beautiful Estate stay

Karinya estate is absolutely gorgeous. You feel totally separated from everything around you, yet are 15 mins from everything Newcastle has to offer. Rooms are spacious and great for entertaining. It great that this aprty allows parties as its perfect for hosting events (like my 30th). Note that the power is prone to short circuit if too many applicances are used - we figured this out quickly but Alex was very responsive and came to check himself. Would stay again

Fabulous venue for small events.

We booked Karinya for my daughter’s bridal shower and Hen’s party. Stately home perfect for events with plenty of room indoors and out. Private grounds and convenient location with accommodations for guests. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend of celebrations and Alex was a great host with good communication. Highly recommend

Great for a group!

Alex’s house was perfect for our weekend away with a group of friends. It was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Alex was great to communicate with and met at the property at check into show us around. Would definitely stay again.

Hens Weekend

The property was absolutely amazing for our hens weekend away, more than enough beds, comfortable, relaxing, cleanly. The size of this home is perfect for big groups, the pool and grounds are stunning. Perfect location.

Perfect venue for our hens weekend

The property was perfect for holding our small hens event. Couldn’t have asked for a more secluded feeling spot in an area otherwise quite busy. Grateful for the size of the house & all the bits & bobs provided that came in handy. Thanks again!

Beautiful location

Karinya is a great place to stay with a bigger group - awesome outdoor/entertaining area where the kids enjoyed hours in the pool. The location is great, doesn’t feel like you’re in the city. The home has some history and loads of original features which is an interesting touch!

Awesome family reunion

We loved our stay at Alex’s house - it was perfect for our family group of 14. There were several open family areas and the outdoor area was fantastic. There were lots of towels and other thoughtful touches that made for a wonderful stay. Alex was also terrific to deal with - helpful and responsive. Thank you Alex.

Fantastic Stay at Karinya Parkland Estate

We had a fantastic stay at Karinya Parkland Estate. The house has great character and plenty of space for any size group inside and out, meaning wet weather isn't an issue. Everything from the kitchen and bedrooms, to the BBQ and pool was clean and tidy. The estate is quiet and peaceful, you wouldn't know you are moments from greater Newcastle shops and restaurants. We couldn't have asked for a better host - Alex was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommended!
