Just two hours north of GTA, this private cottage is accessible enough for a weekend jaunt, yet secluded enough that you will forget about the hustle and bustle of the city. Imagine the feeling of complete relaxation and bliss. Sitting by the water, with the sounds of nature and serenity as the backdrop. The cottage is on Muskoka River and walking distance to South Mary Lake (and beach). The feeling is like paradise, spacious and serene space.

What a superb stay in a beautiful location. We stayed in winter and the place was very comfortable for our group of 10. The host was very responsive and offered a late checkout without being asked. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds are comfortable. Highly recommended place to stay

The house was nice and clean and was exactly as the pictures showed. The owner Jag was great with communication. We all had a wonderful time and would certainly stay again.

Lovely clean cottage on the river. Super dock cannonballs for my older grandchildren and short distance to toddler friendly beach. We enjoyed getting the cousin crew together with plenty of room and activities for all ten of us.

This was the perfect place to get the extended family together and there was something to do for everyone!! Communication was great! When we had questions they were answered immediately. The house was very spacious with great views of the river. The kitchen was large and well equipped. We prepared a full Thanksgiving dinner in it. The living room was large enough for all of us to be together. The backyard is large and we had fun playing games and sitting around the fire at night. With a large group I would definitely recommend this rental.

Raj was an amazing host & his property was one like no other! The cottage had all of the amenities we could ask for from flat land for recreational activities to an unlimited supply of firewood. The interior was decorated beautifully with ample bed space for guests & all linens provided clean. Raj was able to accommodate all of our requests & his kitchen came loaded with everything we needed. The dock is perfect for fishing pike or bass alongside his shed with ample games to pass the time. Our family will definitely be returning if not once, multiple times in the coming season. Definitely recommend!

The property is excellent, location wise as well as the property itself. In addition, you have all the essentials, 2 different coffee makers with their pods, board games, TV with lots of movies and channels etc. Kitchen is full of all pots and pans. Raj is very responsive on phone or thru message. We will most likely come back here.

A Retreat in Nature

Wonderful Host and Stay for a Summer Weekend. Clean and charming. Fun on the water. Great gathering table by the kitchen, large gathering area in the family room by the bay window. Way more light would be beneficial at the back as difficult to maneuver in the dark night.

Our group enjoyed our stay at Cliff Haven! Jeena was a great host, very accommodating and quick to respond to our questions. The place was well stocked and had such a cozy vibe! The only issue we encountered was with one of the bunks being quite shaky and we felt it was unsafe to use.Overall a great experience and we'd definitely book Cliff Haven again!

A great 1st time cottage rental

Fabulous location on the water. Lots of water toys for teens and adults. The property was spacious and homey. The wifi speed was great. Cozy cottage with beautiful views.

I hosted a birthday weekend here with some friends, and I can say this is a very beautiful, well maintained cottage with incredible views of the Muskoka river. The cottage is surrounded by large trees so there's enough shade on hot summer days. The living area has large windows overlooking the river, and the deck shares the same views. There is more than enough room around the firepit so you don't have to cramp in if you're coming as a group. Unfortunately we were here on April so we couldn't enjoy the water but, we really enjoyed sitting on the floating deck to soak up some sun. Highly recommend for groups up to 10.

Wonderful stay with friends

Our group of 9 spent four super fun days here -- weather was fantastic, made great use of the canoes and kayaks though the SUP wasn't usable as it needed air and the pump was missing. We loved the outdoor table and used it for every meal. The property had room enough for us to set up our badminton net as well. We enjoyed the fire pit and the lovely dock and of course the river itself -- the water was incredible. The river isn't super deep but deep enough to dive off the dock, which was key for the 5 kids.The house being so close to the road was a concern but there was a fence around the back of the property so didn't have to worry about the dog running onto the road. We did hear the traffic but not at night, which was great. And being able to pop down to the Port Sydney grocery store /LCBO was certainly convenient. The house itself was well appointed and had everything we needed to cook meals for our group -- just missing some plastic tumblers to take to the dock. We appreciated the abundant coffee and tea on offer and the multiple ice trays!! Those of us who enjoy reading at night definitely missed having a nightstand and lamp on each side of the beds (there was table and lamp on one side for each bed). Otherwise, house layout is great as the living room is separated enough from the kitchen that kids watching a movie doesn't interfere with adults chatting in the kitchen (or vice versa :)Overall, a really nice place to spend a few hot summer days with friends.
