The apartment was nice: clean and spacious (but not great views!). Unfortunately, one of the main Auckland highways is right in front of the building, so if you open the windows the noise is rather loud. There is no AC, so I can imagine this being a real issue in the summer (I had a mix of hot/mild days during my stay). The blinds/curtains are also not great (once the sun came out it was very bright in the whole apartment). The location is convenient: close to downtown and Ponsonby, but there is nothing really around the building, one has to walk 15 minutes to get to a nice area. I had random issues when checking in (2+ hour ordeal). Not a big deal, but somewhat unprofessional (and no apologies...).

Nice apartment

Great host. They allowed me to check in earlier in the day due to a morning flight. Unit was clean and in a great location. Convenient to so many attractions. The shortcomings were noise and the temperature. The weather was warm during our stay. There is no air conditioning and there was not a fan. We kept the sliding door open at night to provide air but this apartment is on a very busy street and there is a lot of noise all night long.

Auckland Visit

Small but adequate clean accommodation for two but lacking air conditioning. Also somewhat noisey due to traffic when opening balcony to generate cooling.

They didn't ask for a review...

They didn't ask for a review, but I'll do one anyway because they didn't have one when I saw it. A little rough on the check-in, I think they gave me the wrong key box or didn't put the key in. It was midnight, and it was only by a stroke of luck that we had been talking on another platform that I was able to call her and tell her the problem to come straighten it out; because I didn't have a local SIM card, and Vrbo messaging is very clunky. However, after that...EVERYTHING WAS SMOOTH. This place was accurately described, and so convenient there was a washer and dryer in the room for our long stay. It was perfect and cozy just for just the two of us. Very clean and the location was great in my opinion. Nicely appointed. They couch is firm, and not super comfy, but this is not a resort, you should be out seeing the city! Very nice balcony overlooking the bustling street and the indoor pool and sauna were usually pretty quiet, so nice for us. I rented a parking space, and it was covered and secure. No problems there. Elevators, and easy access if you need it. However, I wouldn't necessarily recommend it if you are in a wheelchair or the like, as the hallway has thresholds that aren't conducive to that. This is a great space, if you are not a large group, and just need the basics. It's reasonably priced, but I think it's a great value.
