Beautiful newly renovated OCEAN-FRONT cottage on .75 of an acre! Enjoy morning coffees from your Adirondack chair on the large 2-tiered DECK, sunrise/sunsets are spectacular! Stroll/beach comb the BEACH right from the edge of the property. PICNIC table/BARBECUE are on the deck & FIRE PIT at the waters edge. Open concept with modern fully equipped kitchen, relaxing living room with SMART TV and fireplace. This COZY retreat is very quiet and private. Perfect for any type of vacation or getaway! New for 2024 is a mini-split, just installed, to provide an air conditioned space in the summer months.

Lovely cottage! Air conditioned.Kitchen equipped well. Easy day trips to all the sights. We loved that we could bring our dog with us. He had a great stay too!

Beautiful cottage

We spend aug 4-7, 2025 and it is a beautiful cottage. The view is amazing and Tyler and Caroline pay attention to every detail to ensure you enjoy your stay. We will definitely rent it again.

Perfect home base for our NB vacation

My family spent a week at the Salty Dog and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was the perfect home base — a beautiful spot for morning coffees and family dinners overlooking the cocagne bay, and a short drive to so many great beaches and attractions (including Hopewell Rocks). Our kids and dog loved running around the big grassy yard and wading in the bay. The hosts were friendly and attentive. Bonus points for the AC which was a life saver during a heat wave.

Hidden Gem

Kindness is what we were looking for in our adventure to Canada and Tyler and Carolyn delivered that and much more! It is hard to describe what we expected compared to our experience at the Salty Dog. Every day was a new adventure starting with how the first sunrise took our breath away, to the star filled skies at night, that just made it difficult to get to bed at a decent hour to wake for the next opportunity of pure delight contained within the rising sun. We were treated to strawberry moons, neighbors proudly sharing their beautiful gardens with us and fresh picked rhubarb. The daily walks on the beach at sunset and sitting on the porch listening to the cackles of the birds flying by were just delightful. And this is only the gateway to all the other adventures to be held in the surrounding areas which include the arboretum, lighthouses, bays and more seafood than one could sample in a month! My only regret was that I did not bring my fishing pole with me, but will not make that mistake next time I get to visit the charming Salty Dog! Maggie

A little bit of New Brunswick

Perfect location to visit areas within 2 hours of Moncton. Being right on the water was peaceful. Property clean and bright with amazing decor. Had everything we needed! We would definitely stay here again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at the Salty Dog. The view of the bay is so relaxing. Nice big fire pit. Hosts were very attentive.

The Salty Dog Was Wonderful

Loved everything about The Salty Dog, from the cottage to the view. We had perfect weather and enjoyed both mornings having coffee on the deck watching the birds and herons glide over the clear calm water. Loved it so much and plan to go back.

Quiet Beach Getaway

This beachfront cottage has lots of room outside to enjoy the sun and and is just a short walk to a sandy beach with shallow warm water. Listening to the water with your feet in the warm sand is a recipe for relaxation. Everything you need and very responsive hosts.

Very nice propert and location. Conveniently situated in a qhiet area to enjoy some peace and quiet but close enough to Shediac and Moncton to enjoy all the area has to offer. Everything we expected.

Perfect Cozy Cottage

The Salty Dog was just what we needed. Enjoying our coffee on the beautiful deck, while watching the stunning sunrises and blue herons, to the peaceful calm evenings, while relaxing at night. The cottage was the perfect spot to spend a few days to get our ocean fix! The hard part was leaving! We actually did add on another night! T & C you truely have an amazing spot! Would definitely stay here again or highly recommend to anyone. ❤️ ☀️ 🌙

Beautiful family vacay

Cottage was exactly as advertised, very well appointed. Our teenagers and little dog absolutely loved the water. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return for a longer stay.
