The Shepherds Hut — Located peacefully in the countryside of Welcome Bay, Tauranga. Come and escape from the hustle and bustle of busy lives, relax and unwind to the sound of rural life. The Shepherds Hut is only ten minutes’ drive from Tauranga CBD and Tauranga Crossing, and fifteen minutes drive from Mount Maunganui Hight Street and stunning beaches.

Free WI-FI usage and free parking on-site.

Outstanding rental, great location and wonderful owners

Tauranga is a great city and shouldn't be missed. The property is unique as it's terraced. The unit has big picture windows on two sides (overlooking the garden and a view of their two sheep). They have two adorable little dogs that come out to greet you when you arrive home again. The unit has a small Webber gas grill that's fantastic. The bed is comfy and there is a mini-split AC/heater in the sitting area. I stayed for a month and in that time I hung out with Emma and Andy a handful of times. On my next trip to Tauranga, I'll be back. This should be your first choice when visiting Tauranga.

Loved the view

Sadly it was only 1 night! Would come again. Only issue for us really was the lack of rail to hold on to down the steps for my husband, but with a stick to suport him down the steps it was fine.

Relax in a country setting

A beautiful setting, for a lovely getaway from the hustle and bustle, but still really close to the Mount. Lovely hosts. All round great experience!

Cute cottage in rural setting

We had a lovely stay at Emma and Andy’s cottage. One of the best accommodation we have stayed in. Everything was in good working order, the property was so clean and the hosts were really very helpful and keen to help us out. The location is so peaceful overlooking the sheep paddock and also private. Wish we had longer and hope to come back!

Break away in rural paradise

Loved the peace and tranquility of the beautiful natural surroundings. Slept well. Enjoyed the hut feel and facilities. Hosts super friendly welcoming and helpful. Will definitely return.
