Beautiful location. Has everything you need to prepare meals. The pools and hot tubs are very nice. Loved sitting on the deck.Great church services on Sunday morning in the clubhouse.

Great value near Jensen Beach!

Nettles Island is essentially a converted RV park with a mixture of home types on narrow lots. The house we stayed in was well equipped and had a fantastic deck overlooking the canal. Communication with the property manager was excellent!

A great week in Florida

We love the area and the house was a great. The weather was so good we ended up doing more things away from the home, however it was a nice place to go back to at night. I hope to stay here again.

PERFECT!

Had everything needed for a three week stay for 8 adults from Poland. They loved the cleanliness, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The also liked the spacious layout and laundry area. They thought the Nettles Island resort facilities were great. First time in Florida and USA and said it was their best vacation ever!

Wonderful vacation

This unit was spacious enough for group of seven, where everyone could relax and enjoy themselves. Check-in was very easy. The back deck had great views & great fishing! This was our third trip to Nettles but first time here but would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful vacation. Lwas very easy & & we had no issues with anything while at the property. Great outdoor deck for fishing & relaxing

Nettles Island Stay

We had a great stay at Nettles Island. Would definitely stay here again. I have always been intrigued by Nettles Island. It’s clean, quaint, quiet and every cottage/condo is different. Our cottage was on the canal so that made it even more fun. Both pools are very nice as well. I would recommend staying in this area. The host was great with quick responses. I hope to be back next year!

Great place but?

Great property! The only problem is that the temperature in the house was way to hot. It never got cooler than 78 during our entire visit. Great place with plenty to do. I would suggest dropping the temperature by 4 or 5 degrees.

Nice place

We spent two nights here. We are a family of five and we all enjoyed it. Our kids are 9,13,14. Most residents that live in the neighborhood are 55+. So it is quiet and relaxed. There are people there that will rent golf carts so you can cruise around the area on them. There are two pools, pool table, tennis, basketball, pickleball, shuffleboard. They have all the equipment there for the activities. There are plenty of places to fish. Couple restaurants right there. Nice little store if you need anything. House was very clean and spacious. Has everything you need.

Everything was geeat about the property. The only problem was the amount of pool passes. There were only 4 and we rented the place for 9 people. That was very unfortunate as each pass was 25 dollars. We could not enjoy as a family, this should be explained when renting to groups bigger than 4.

Relaxing Getaway

Had a much needed break away from the normal routine here! We loved having the dock and caught many fish right off it. Although there were no keepers, we caught fish each day. Saw a couple of manatees trekking through one day. Easy access to community amenities but we only visited the pool once (Pickleball courts were very popular!)Beach access is conveniently located right across from the community. The house was clean where it mattered- bathroom’s, kitchen and bedroom’s surfaces were spotless and all main walking areas were squeaky clean. Linens and towels fresh and comfortable. Kitchen has basic cookware available. The upstairs furniture is noticeably “well loved” but certainly functional. We would recommend this place to our friends and look to come back in the future!

Lots of Wear and Tear

The property was spacious and well located on a canal near the open water with a nice dock. The house and dock area needs a deep clean which usually reveals that the housekeeping and maintenance staff does not have adequate time to clean between renters (?). Our party was 5 adults and 1 small child, yet the unit accommadted 12 people? Old and tired furnishings, linens and supplies need replacing for the nightly price we paid. I would consider the 3rd 'bedroom' a large closet in the basement.

Thermostat Locked

I wouldn’t have rented this FL property in July if it had mentioned that the renter doesn’t have direct access to the thermostat. It is in a LOCKBOX. When I mentioned to the owner this fact and requested access. After not hearing from him for 3 hours, he said he would be happy to adjust it to whatever temperature we asked. We gave him our preferred temperature, but he didn’t adjust it to that temperature until we requested it 3 times. I told him I was disappointed that we couldn’t control the temperature ourselves, and this anomaly should be mentioned in the property description. And he said, “ You're in the prettiest state in the United States and one of the most beautiful places in the United States at my best property Waterfront paying a bargain price. With an experienced landlord who's giving you his private number restaurant recommendations and offered to make the temperature whenever you want. You might want to enjoy enjoy your vacation. If not let your husband know and I'll treat him to dinner.” We love Nettles, and have stayed there many times in the heat of the summer. We didn’t need the restaurant recommendations, or a dinner for my husband; we needed access to the thermostat.

Beautiful home! Will visit again!

The house was perfect for the six of us, everyone have their own area, the view was spectacular, the community is full of fun things to do, we run it a couple golf carts and enjoyed riding over to the beach and over to shockers for dinner, our host was amazing! The house had everything we needed from beach chairs ,umbrellas ,a grill, kitchen items and more! Just loved this place ! We visit Nettles every year and we will definitely stay here again!

One to remember

Definitely the best experience I have had. Paul was super helpful with everything. The process of getting in and getting settled was super easy. The property had a great view of the water and the house was very clean. No complaints here! We had a great time, and we can’t wait to do it again! Thank you for a great vacation!

Just Perfect!!

My family and I have stayed at Nettles a few summers now and I feel like the Island is a home away from home. I have not been disappointed with any of our rental homes and this one in particular is one we feel we must come back to. The owner/host is easy to communicate with. The deck is such a great place to relax. The house is super clean and spacious to accommodate a big family. Staying here with teens was great as they enjoyed the bottom floor as their own private apartment. Staying up late playing cards or watching tv was never an issue for the adults as no noise could be heard from upstairs. We found that the house hay everything we needed and more. The fact that pets are allowed is a plus for our family. We truly enjoyed our stay here and will be back.

Nice, but warm place to stay

We enjoyed our stay at this property. The owner was very responsive and willing to purchase beach towels and a beach umbrella when we got there since the ones that he had were gone. He also came over and fixed a box spring that had been broken prior to our arrival. My only 2 complaints would be that the beds aren’t very comfortable and the home stays warm. The owner is the only one who has access to the thermostat. I asked him to lower it 2 degrees while we were there and he lowered it one degree. We typically keep our thermostat at home at 70 and he had it set at 73-74. We stayed hot the entire time we were there especially at night while we were trying to sleep. Overall, we would consider staying here again (mainly if the temperature of the house could be lowered more!).

Perfect little getaway!

I had never heard of nettles Island before but it was a pretty neat little spot! The location was perfect. The house was so pretty , with a very unique layout , the pictures do not do justice for what it really is!! We would 100% book again at this location! We did bring the grandbaby who is 2 and I would say that was my only concern being that it had a lot of stairs and it right by the water (which ,yes, I knew before I booked so that’s my fault) but it all worked out in the end, next time it would definitely be just us grown-ups!!

PERFECT!!!

The pictures of this place do not do it justice. The location is perfect, on the water and a less than 10 minute drive to the beach. The house is beautiful, huge and comfortably fit 6 people. Could fit more if needed. Fitting 2 cars in the parking area was stressful at first but we managed. I don’t think a third car could fit without being parked in the road. Disposing of trash was also a bit tough as it’s placed inside a small hole in the driveway that was already full when we arrived, we also only had access to one garbage bag . The setbacks, however, do not change my mind when I say this place is the perfect home away from home.
