Overall, the cabin was nice and the location was great. It’s close to City Hall, which made it very convenient to use the trolley system into Gatlinburg—one of the main reasons we chose and really liked this location. Our stay would have been even better, but we did run into a few issues. We’re a larger party and planned to rely on the kitchen more, but unfortunately the oven was not working. The stovetop and broil function worked, but the oven itself would not heat at all, which required us to adjust our meal plans. The toaster also had a broken spring and wouldn’t stay down.We enjoyed the indoor fireplace, but the outdoor fireplace was not working, which was a bit of a disappointment. We did notify the hosts about all of these issues during our stay. We may have been the first guests to notice these things were not working and he did respond that these would be checked out. We also had some trouble with linens. We found dirty linens stuffed inside a pull-out couch, which would have made it difficult for housekeeping to know and clean. Because we needed all available linens for our group, we ended up having to purchase detergent and wash linens ourselves the first night. That said, the cabin itself was clean overall, and everything else functioned well. The location really was excellent. Our main disappointment was not being able to use the oven as expected, but aside from that, it was a good stay.
