Brand New! Private Beachfront Cottage on World-Famous French Leave Beach

Just completed in 2023, Bica Bungalow is a stunning private cottage directly on world-famous French Leave Beach, the most sought-after location on Eleuthera.

Inside, Bica has a master suite furnished with a king bed that faces the sea through a large picture window and a pair of sliding glass doors.
The spacious great room also has ocean views throughout. The kitchen, finished in quartz and stainless steel, is fully equipped with a gas range and oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, and all necessary cookware, dishes, and flatware.

The great room opens onto a large oceanfront porch furnished for lounging and dining. Walk across the yard and down a short path and you are on French Leave Beach, a mile-long crescent of pink sand with famously protected water.

Amenities include filtered water system, air conditioning, WIFI, washer & dryer, paddle boards, beach chairs and beach umbrella, and a whole-house back-up generator.

Bica Bungalow is just one mile from Governors Harbour, the main town on the island. Governors Harbour has grocery stores, restaurants, liquor stores, two banks with ATMs, a bakery, gift shops, a dive shop, and a medical clinic. It has a nice little collection of 19th century homes and churches overlooking a picturesque harbor. You can buy fresh fish and lobster every afternoon from fisherman at the town dock. Friday night Fish Fry in Governors Harbour is a street/beach party that brings together all the tourists and locals with food, drink, and dancing in the street. You won't want to miss it.

Nearby restaurant include Bacchus Fine Foods (gourmet restaurant and food store, which is walking distance), The Buccaneer (Bahamian cuisine with Caribbean-Chinese fusion), Tippy's (international and fusion), La Bougainvillea (international cuisine), 1648 Restaurant (Bahamian cuisine inspired by European influences), and Pascal's at Sky Beach Club (International cuisine with Bahamian influences), Da Perk (coffee shop and sandwiches),. There is live entertainment somewhere nearby almost every night.

Bica Bungalow

We have stayed at many vacation rentals on Eleuthera; Bica is by far our favourite spot! The location is perfect, right on the beach yet close to town and to restaurants. The cottage was clean and well stocked and lovely to have the generator and filtered water. It was quiet and peaceful. Loved it!!

Bica Bungalow is amazing and is located in a great place on French Leave Beach. The owners/hosts of the property have thought of everything! The kitchen is well equipped and there are plenty of towels, both beach and bath, the A/C works well, the back deck is comfortable and the back yard/walking path has a beautiful view. We were able to walk into town on the road and down the beach to Tippy's Beach Bar. There are both chaise lounge chairs and fold up low beach chairs for use as well as a sea kayak. We will definitely be coming back!

Great beach location very near the capital city!. Very nice and new house that had all the kitchen, bath, and outdoor things that a couple would want. Kayak, beach chairs and umbrella, rafts, flippers, etc. Kitchen and bath were well stocked with all the necessities too! Owner was quick to respond to a low water pressure issue! Thanks for the use of Bica Bungalow!

Love Bica bungalow and its location. House is very cute, well stocked with kitchen items plus spices, condiments and even some beer and wine in fridge. The hot water was not working when we arrived and a plumber came immediately to fix it on a Saturday evening, great service. The beach is right there and it's by far the best one on the island. There are beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler and fold big chairs, everything you will need for a great day by the ocean. Highly recommend this place.

40th Anniversary!!!

We have been going to Eleuthera for the past ten years, and Bica Bungalow is our new favorite place to stay for the two of us. Perfect cottage, we’ll stocked, very clean and managed a lovely host that was very accommodating and responsive. The beach was beautiful as well as the grounds and garden. Thank you for a wonderful anniversary.

Idyllic Escape

My husband and I stayed at Bica Bungalow for one week, our fourth trip to our favorite island. This spot is the perfect haven to relax all week or an ideal base for exploring the island. We did a little bit of both--but you never get FOMO when you're already on one of the most exquisite beaches in the world and can see it from all points in the house! The house itself is thoughtfully appointed and decorated with meaningful Bahamian art. You have everything you need and more: kitchen utensils and cooking staples, added treats upon arrival and basic bathroom toiletries, outdoor shower, kayak, snorkel gear, even sunscreen and bug spray. The lovely porch with seating galore, comfortable beach chairs or loungers, umbrellas for the beach...coolers, I'm sure all of these are listed under "amenities" but we were impressed that every base was covered and most of all, being in this house, you really felt the love that the owners have for the island and the hospitality they have for their guests! Thank you for an amazing stay!

Bica Bungalow

Bica Bungalow was an absolute dream! It's the perfect getaway spot for a couple, with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is fantastic—close to a variety of great restaurants (you'll want to try them all!) and just a short drive to several beautiful beaches worth exploring. The beach right outside the bungalow is a hidden gem—often completely empty—so it feels like your own private paradise. We loved starting our mornings there and then heading out to float in the crystal-clear Caribbean waters after lunch. Kristin and her team were incredible from start to finish, making the whole experience seamless and stress-free. I can't recommend Bica Bungalow and Eleuthera enough—it's pure magic!

We had everything we needed - comfortable porch, great mattress, functional kitchen with all-new gear, fast wifi, and best of all -- a really beautiful beach just a few steps down the private path. Note -- Bica does have a whole-house generator and that's important on this island. You do not have to fuss; it clicks on automatically if the power flickers or goes off. Likewise, the water is filtered at the kitchen tap so you don't need to buy water or worry about what you are drinking. The owners are lovely and eager to provide any info or help to find what you might like on the island. We will return.
