PROPERTY INFO:
VILLA PORTON
Villa Portón is the villa for a family or multi-gen group who want the doors thrown open and everyone in one place — kids on the lawn, the adults on the loungers, no one feeling cramped. It sits in Barranca, the quiet, tree-lined northern pocket of Casa de Campo where the arrival is a green corridor of elephant ears that opens to an arched dark wood door. Four bedrooms sleep eight, with an included cook handling all the meals.
Slide the full-height glass wall back and the living room and the pool become a single space, with the pitched wood-plank ceiling carrying the eye out across the lawn to where a parasol sits over the loungers. Swim in the morning while breakfast lands on the covered terrace. Eat lunch under the blue octopus painting with the doors wide open. Watch the kids drift between the pool and the grass from a sofa indoors, drink in hand. The kitchen behind it all is properly built — granite island, gas range, real working space — so a casual dinner at home feels like the easiest part of the day.
The Racquet Center is the closest amenity, a short ride up the road for a morning hit. Altos de Chavón and Dye Fore sit an easy outing in the other direction — a cliff-top village and a sea-cliff fairway built into the same afternoon. Minitas Beach and Teeth of the Dog — ranked the Caribbean's top course by the World Golf Awards — are a longer drive south, so the resort opens up around you without anything being in your lap. Villa Portón is the villa to book when the trip is about the family being together, the doors being open, and the meals being something you don't have to think about.

Interaction with Guests:
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Is Villa Portón a good fit for a multi-generational family stay?
Yes. Villa Portón is built around a single, open-plan core that keeps everyone together while still giving each group their own corner. Four bedrooms sleep eight, with two of them set up as twin rooms for kids or siblings sharing a space. The lawn is large enough for a pool game while a parent reads on the covered terrace and grandparents drift in from the sitting area. With breakfast, lunch, and dinner all handled at the villa, meals are easy and no one is stuck in the kitchen.
Q: What is the full-height glass wall at Villa Portón?
The glass wall is the villa's signature architectural move — a dark-framed, floor-to-ceiling glass front that runs the entire width of the living and dining space and folds back to open the interior directly onto the pool terrace. With it open, the wood-plank cathedral ceiling carries the eye straight out to the lawn and pool, so inside and outside read as one room. Closed, it frames the garden like a picture window. It's the reason the villa feels much larger and more modern than a four-bedroom plan would normally suggest.
Q: What does the cook prepare during a stay at Villa Portón?
The cook prepares all the meals at the villa — breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Most guests choose a relaxed breakfast on the covered terrace, a casual lunch by the pool, and a longer dinner indoors or out depending on the day. Menus are agreed in advance and the cook will accommodate dietary needs and children's preferences. Groceries are arranged through the concierge and billed separately, so guests only pay for what they actually eat.
Q: What's included in the Villa Portón rate, and what's extra?
The published nightly rate is the starting villa rate based on double occupancy per bedroom and includes housekeeping, a cook, and a waiter. The 18% service fee and the Casa de Campo Resort registration fee are added separately. Food and beverages, airport transfers, rental cars, golf carts, baby equipment, green fees, and any other personal services are arranged through the concierge and billed separately. A security deposit equivalent to one night's rate is required at booking.
