Very disappointing…

This trailer is very close to the beach which made this a little more acceptable but it’s not a clean house or updated is so many ways!! Floors sagging and boards up…just very gross bathrooms/floors etc. we stayed in as little as possible. You get what you pay for and it’s a shame. With some updates and truth about what you’re really getting, this would be a repeat booking. It has potential but looks like it has had any real TLC in a very long time. The development itself is awesome and worth finding a better place to stay.

The host was amazing. Location was spectacular. Only problems that was had was it wasn't the cleanest and unfortunately could not use the grill on the patio. The flooring was a bit mushy in some spots and water kept coming from under the shower curtain onto the floor. House did smell a little bit moldy and the fridge had a foul smell. Otherwise it was still cool and a decent place to lay our heads. Thank you for the stay!

Our stay at Kay’s coastal cottage

Our stay at Kay’s Coastal Cottage didn’t quite meet our expectations. While Janet was responsive when I had questions, there were some issues that affected our experience.We rented the golf cart for 250, as listed on the website, but its condition was disappointing. The back tire was flat and needed air, the axle appeared damaged causing it to drive crooked, and it lacked headlights and turn signals. I reached out to Janet about these problems, and she said a handyman would come to take a look—but he never showed up. Unfortunately, we received a violation from the community security guard due to the missing lights and signals. When I shared the violation photo with Janet, her response felt dismissive and she questioned why we didn’t have the lights off (even though there were none).The propane tank was also only partially full. Midway through grilling, it ran out, which was frustrating. Additionally, the house didn’t come with any extras like beach chairs or umbrellas, which would have been a nice touch.That said, the cottage itself was clean with just a bit of sand inside—nothing major. The location is excellent, just a short walk to the beach. Janet also left us a brand new pack of sheets, which we appreciated.Overall, we enjoyed parts of our stay and would consider booking again if the golf cart and a few other details were addressed.

Perfect

It was perfect a 2 min walk to the beach or you can rent the go cart and drive to the pool. My boys and i had a great time!

Cozy and convenient location

We had a great time the place is cozy and within a short walk to the beach. Janet (host) was awesome with communication and we left something there and she mailed it back to me. Thank you see you next year!!!

Great location!

We loved the location of the house, very convenient. The beach is just down the block. The house has everything you need in the kitchen. We’ll keep this house in mind next time we visit.

Nice location but could use updates and better cleaning

Basic amenities like hand soap and replacement trash bags and paper towels were not provided. The toilet paper holder and paper towel holder were both broken. The place could use some updates (patch holes in the wall near shower curtain and fix sagging floor boards). Floors under chairs and couch hadn't been cleaned.

Amazing!

Janet was very communicative, and any need she helped me with. House was super nice, and clean and neighborhood too. I would definitely stay here again in the future. My kids and I had a blast!

Very disappointing two weeks

Furniture very uncomfortable. Blinds only worked on one window. No closet available. Could not use frying pans. Both were even left in the cupboard filthy. (no response) Pod coffee maker did not work.(owner not aware it didn't work) Listing did not say there was a charge to use the golf cart. Very depressing for the price we paid. Have stayed in Oceanside Village for many years and never had a home like this.
