Peaceful stay

The host graciously allowed us to stay here at the last minute when our originally-planned trip became blocked by wildfire and we found ourselves in the Kamloops region for longer than we'd planned. The ranch is incredibly peaceful with stunning views. The suite is beautiful, very comfortable, and had everything we needed for a restful stay.

Amazing for a retreat or stay close to Kamloops

Such a great property with everything thought of to make your stay perfect! Quiet, serene location but you can easily access Kamloops. We saw numerous birds as well as a few deers. The property has interesting books on Canadian history - fun ones as well such as Saloons and scoundrels. Great hospitality provided by hosts!

The best stay I've ever had in Kamloops

Instead of staying at a hotel, this year we chose to spend 4 days at a ranch just outside of Kamloops. Between the house, the spectacular views, the friendly hosts (and their dogs), this was a slam dunk. Can not recommend this place enough if you're looking for a quiet getaway and don't mind driving 10 minutes out of town.

Country getaway

This property is just outside the city limits of Kamloops located on a ridge overlooking ranch land and the valley below. It was a spectacular location to enjoy wildlife and peace and quiet. We’ve put it on our list of “must do again”.

Peaceful ranch retreat

We needed accommodation for an event in Kamloops and were amazed at the peaceful setting at Janis and Nathan’s ranch suite. You’re only 15 minutes from the city but you’ll see beautiful sunsets and stars and you can walk the fields with the resident pups. The suite has everything you need with a comfy bed, great shower and well equipped kitchen.

The best sunsets and sunrises

We had an absolutely amazing stay at the ranch. Every detail is thought of and the suite has everything you need. Janis is so accommodating, she got high-speed internet connection specifically for our stay so that my partner can work from home. There is also a brand new hot tub on the property! The view from the suite is stunning and you can watch the most beautiful sunsets and sunrises. We also enjoyed long walks with the two ranch dogs, Dexter and Cache. Thank you so much for sharing this gem with us, we will definitely be back!

Peaceful paradise

It was such a great experience, my wife and I wanted a few days away to unwind and relax and this place was perfect!!! Loved taking the dogs for walks on this beautiful property, having a hotdog roast by the fire and just enjoying the space. Waking up to the rolling hills just outside your window was incredibly peaceful. Janis and Nathan are great hosts and we will definitely be back

Great property!

Beautiful place to stay to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. You feel like you are a million miles away from anything, but any thing you might need is close. The owners are both fantastic to talk with and give their recommendations. I’m glad I found this beautiful gem!

Absolutely amazing property, hosts and views. Spent 4 nights at the ranch as we were in Kamloops for the Provincial Soccer Championships. It was so nice to wake up to the quiet countryside and return in the evening to relax outside enjoying the view and warm breeze. Suite is fully stocked with everything we needed, spacious, spotless and very comfortable. We will definitely be back.

I only wish I could rate our stay MORE than five stars! The views alone are worth the trip! and inside, everything was fantastic. Spotless, and everything you could want, including a comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, and a fireplace. We had an outdoor grill, and access to a firepit and hot tub.It was such a lovely experience to walk the beautiful property with Cache and Dexter! Such great dogs!!! We plan to come back at least once a year!Extra bonus: Nathan showed us around his studio, where he produces his bronze sculptures.All in all, this is the nicest place my hubby and I have stayed, and Janis and Nathan could not have been better hosts! We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful ranch! The setting was peaceful and serene—exactly what we needed after a long day at our kids’ football tournament. Janis was incredibly accommodating, and her directions were crystal clear, making it so easy to find the property. The space itself was stunning and thoughtfully set up, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was exceptionally comfortable! We were initially worried about the heat, since it was supposed to be the hottest weekend in BC, but being up in the hills kept things nice and cool. Staying here was such a welcome break from the hustle of city hotels packed with tournament families. This spot was quiet, relaxing, and truly perfect. We’d come back in a heartbeat. Thank you, Janis!

Fantastic

Loved this place! So enjoyed the view of rolling hills and big sky. The suite was wonderful. Everything is well thought out to make sure you have all that is needed. If you need to chill and relax this is the place. Janis & Nathan are very welcoming...we even were treated to a tour of his fabulous work studio. We look forward to coming back.

Stunning property and a spacious cozy suite.

This place is beautiful. Easy to get to with the simple directions from the host, this property is nestled in the hills, close enough to to go to Kamloops for dinner, and then back to have a campfire. We really loved going for walks with the friendly family dogs who live there. They are so sweet!! The suite was spotless, beautifully decorated to give a cozy feeling. The hosts were so accommodating, providing everything we could possibly need. If I could give more stars I totally would!! We will definitely be booking here again!!

A dream come true!

Oh wow, what an absolutely wonderful place to stay! Gracious hosts, incredible suite, super sweet ranch pups and views that just won't quit! The suite is quite roomy and very well thought out. The hosts thought of every little detail in design, decor and utility! Great kitchenette, large shower, super comfy bed. An outside fire pit was available as well as a sitting deck overlooking the valley and mountains all from a quiet, secluded and serene ranch. We were able to hang out near their very cute cows and watch their rodeo horses running through the fields while giving pets to the ranch pups. We would absolutely book again!
