The cottage is in a beautiful location and Dermot is the perfect host.The cottage is as described in the details,and the dining area has a fabulous view of the mountain. The cottage is also well equipped. Look out for the lovely stained glass windows and the sculptures in the garden. And a very comfy bed.Easy walking distance to the main part of town and the mountain.Good location for exploration of the whole Haraki plainand Kaimai-Mamaku mountain range.We would thoroughly recommend and would like to return if ever in the area . Thank you Dermot.

A great space in a convenient location

A great little space in a convenient location. The bed was the most comfortable I've slept in at a holiday rental, lovely and soft, the perfect spot to laze around and read your book.

Repeat Stay just as good

This was our second stay. Not only did we make use of the well equipped kitchen and bathroom, but we also made use of the hot tub behind the cottage this time. Lovely! Highly recommended.

A great short stay! Old-school cozy cottage. Very peaceful and quiet with stunning views of Mt Te Aroha from the deck. Walks are nearby and about 10-15 into town on foot. Easy communication with the owner, who is a gent.

A little place in the country

Great little cottage to stay in, secure off-street parking. Dermott, the host was amazing. I had to get him out of bed very early on Sunday with a flat battery. He gave us a jump; nothing was a problem. Would stay again any time.

Beautiful spot

We had a fantastic time in Te Aroha and the little cottage was perfect. We really enjoyed chatting with Dermott, he's a really interesting guy and was so helpful and friendly to us. Already planning another trip!

Fantastic

The property is lovely. Dermot is a wonderful host and an amazing artist. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It’s a lovely spot and a flat level easy walk of about 15mins to Te Aroha’s Main Street with lots to look at and discover, along the way!

Studio Cottage with a View

Host, Dermot, goes above and beyond to ensure you are comfortable during your stay. The little cottage has excellent kitchen facilities, reverse cycle heating/AC and a comfortable bed. The view of Mt Te Aroha is superb. He also has electric bikes should you feel like checking out the Hauraki rail trail. Highly recommended for singles or couples.

Quaint and cosy

Idyllic and perfectly comfortable for a couples weekend away. small town with very friendly locals and not far away from surrounding towns with plenty to offer. Amazing scenery and views of the mountain, plenty of scenic walks and small history based buildings. Great local art displays. The spa is the perfect way to end your day of exploration and ties everything together to make it perfect for an escape from your usual. The host is lovely and truely cares about your stay.

Te Aroha Escape

We loved staying in the cosy and cottage. The spa pool was super relaxing to soak in under the stars. Dermot was super friendly and helpful. Looking forward to staying again! :)

A few days at Dermot's house

My stay was for a few days to join friends for a cycling trip. The large ensuite room with kitchen behind Dermot's house far exceeded my expectations. Probably one of the best on my New Zealand holiday. The place is tastefully furnished and the bed comfortable. The kitchen has a gas stove. There are many little artistic features making the whole experience an adventure. My host had thought through all my needs and the short bread and milk were a lovely gesture. Locally there are a range of activities - walking and spa. I hope one day too return
