Great neighborhood, mixed feelings on the place
Pluses and minuses to this place. I would stay there again, but you should know what you're getting into, so I'll list the minuses first...
Not great privacy. This is a two bedroom place, but the walls of the bedroom do not go all the way up to the raised ceiling, leaving about a six inch gap, and the barn-style doors on the bedrooms have gaps all around the edges. So I suppose it is more private than being in a hotel room with two beds, but not much more.
Loud. Not like street noise, but like the compressor for the entire building's AC unit is located in the ceiling of the bathroom. So there's a very loud fan running ALL THE TIME, regardless of whether you're using the AC. A minor annoyance, but obvious enough that they leave sets of earplugs by all the beds.
Smelly. The apartment is fine. The hallways stinks of marijuana, all the time. Not a huge deal, but if you're sensitive to it you'll be unhappy.
The positives: easy to check in, clean inside, great location in the artsy RINO district, tons of food and drink and art and things to do within walking distance.
