We have nothing bad to say about this place and enjoyed our time here immensely. The beach is only steps away and is perfect for swimming with many great restaurants. When you’re done at the beach, the pool is big and refreshing and deep. The house had everything we needed and more and the manager was very quick to respond to anything we needed. We’d definitely stay here again.

We had a wonderful time.

Villa is spacious and in a great location, close to the beach and good restaurants. Also, it was nice having access to the amenities of Condovac.

Quite spacious villa

Villa #4 is a large well appointed villa. We were 6 including grandparents, parents and 2 small children and found the villa the perfect size for our family's week stay. The pool is close by and shared by only a few villas. The quiet beach is across the street and features an excellent restaurant.

Perfect Family Rental

Two families with three children total. The kids loved the pool. The beach is just a hop away including some really incredible restaurants. The community has 24-hour security and these fine men set the tone for the whole stay. Each coming and going is a fun and pleasant interaction with the guards and we got to know a few of them a bit. Relatively close to a market, but we were happy we rented a car. We would definitely go back.

All the comforts of home!

From beginning to end this was a perfect choice for us. The owners gave us all the information we could possibly need to have a fantastic time. The house was open and airy with plenty of room! If you plan to cook some of your meals you find the kitchen set up with everything you could possibly need. It was a bonus to have a washer and dryer right there too! You can hear the ocean from the house which is just a little over 200ft from getting your toes wet. Thanks for everything Lydia, we had a wonderful stay.

Beautiful weather

Very good space, and as advertised. Beautiful sunsets each evening from the balcony on the second level and a quick walk to the beach. Lots of beach restaurant choices a quick walk away. We enjoyed the Aquasport Bar & Restaurant the most. It was a short walk down the beach and very relaxed with a good vibe. I do believe that one does need to have a vehicle given that it is a bit isolated from shopping and other amenities. Unfortunately the air conditioning for two of the three bedrooms went out after 3 nights and there was not a quick response to getting these fixed so there was some suffering for the rest of the week.

Amazing and beautiful vacation houuse

We stayed in this house from March 27th to April 1st of 2015.W e were 4 adults and 3 kids and the house was just perfect for us. The manager Candida and her husband were excellent in their responses to us when we had any questions. The house was immaculate with gorgeous views of ocean and tress all around. You can just walk down to the beach in 5 minutes. There are several restaurants around if you prefer to eat out. We chose to cook and found grocery stores close by which had everything. The WIFI was not working and when we informed Candida they immediately sent someone to fix it. I will definatly recommend this house to all. We have wonderful memories to take back

We'll be back! Pura Vida!

This was our 4th stay at Villa 4 Las Brisas and we will most definitely be back. The owners of this spacious and airy villa are terrific to work with and the property is even better than described in the listing. The villa is in a welcoming gated community with lush grounds and a pool just steps from the front door, If you like to cook some of your meals you'll find the kitchen well appointed with all the conveniences of home. There are local markets within walking distance for picking up supplies. The bedrooms are very private and comfortable, each with its own AC unit. The beach is just across the road from the villa, literally steps from the door to getting your toes wet. You'll love the beautiful sunsets!! Make sure you take advantage of the restaurants along the beach! Our favorite dining spot in Playa Hermosa is La Casita del Mariscos (closest to the villa), their ceviche and red snapper are outstanding. If you are craving some pizza Bocelli's Pizza is the place to go. Great pizza and service!! We can't wait to come back to Costa Rica and we will definitely be staying at this property next time too!!

Unit Needs to Be Updated

This Unit has a lot of potential. The layout is beautiful and efficient. It is well-built. The area is very safe and beautiful. The manager is very friendly and obliging. Stay here once the description states it has been updated. However, the Unit is outdated, and the kitchen was not cleaned up to par. The kitchen should be thoroughly cleaned every time before new guests arrive. For example, the kitchen had dirty flatware. Soap dispensers were dirty. We got a used sponge for starters. We did not get soap, shampoo, or lotion for showers. One of us fell on our second day due to an old malfunctioning air conditioning unit that was leaking water and flooded the dining room. This Unit needs updates to continue to be rented, some major TLC, especially if marketed as a "Luxury" unit. If this is brought up in a response by the owner (I saw her earlier response for another post), I paid for extra guests I mentioned to the owner (to reach the eight maximum that the Unit allows). Further mentioning my concerns about the kitchen cleaning would have been inconvenient (although I did mention it on day 1). Mentioning my concerns about how outdated the Unit is before leaving would have made no difference. We had a short stay, so it was easier to bear it. We stayed three nights; I paid for everything by the book. We were as polite to staff as possible and tried to leave the place the same or better than we found. I even washed most towels.

It is most unfortunate that the guests did not report any issues at the time of discovery, but waited until the time of the checkout, when it's impossible to redress them. The unit is cleaned thoroughly after each rental and before the next. So when it's reported that the kitchenware weren't clean, we have no way of verifying such was the case. The AC water spillage issue was responded to immediately when it was reported. The guests did agree that it was dealt with promptly. The guest(s) booked our property via instant booking for just 2 adults; however, there were 5 guests at the check in. Two adults and 3 children. There were three additional overnight guests along with original 5 guests, which was not mentioned until the checkout time. We had to bill separately for the 3 additional guests. The guests complained that the villa furnishings were outdated and not up to par to their standards; however, they were and are exactly the same as when they perused the online listing (with photos), then chose our villa. They also complained of our villa not providing shampoo/conditioner/shower soap. Those personal items were never part of our amenities. The guests are responsible for their own personal hygiene items. The villa needing updates is rather general and subjective. Our next guests may not find the wrought iron accent pieces or fairly new (2 year old) sofa set needing updates, or maybe they will simply choose another rental that is more to their taste, rather than after their stay.

Quite disappointed

My wife and I were quite surprised with the condition of the property. The description and pictures were not indicative of the current condition. The place was filthy and most things within the unit should have been discarded years ago, especially the pillows which were severly stained. Also don't try to sit on the chairs on the upstair balcony because the webbing has rotted so badly that one would probably fall through. There was a distinct musty smell in the property indicative of mold. This was confirmed by visual deposits of mold on the curtain. We believe that the split unit air conditioners have not been serviced, therefore causing mold to grow in the units and distributed throughout the property. My wife and I developed respiratory issues. We believe that it might have been caused by the moldy air. The condition was so bad that we moved out to another property after 3 days. Being peak season, it took us 4 days to locate another property. We had told the owner and the property manager about our dissatisfaction. They offered to clean the property again, but the owner said that the air issue was "beyond the scope of the rental agreement." When we decided to rent the property, we felt that the owner, Lydia, being a licensed real estate agent, had an obligation.to give her clients the correct description of her property. This was definitely a mistake. This is definitely not a "luxury villa."

The guests did not report any issues until almost a week into their stay. If the villa was unsatisfactory, it should have been reported immediately so that steps could be taken to address their concerns. The guests indicated that they've decided to stay another place and left the place without any word. After a couple/few days they returned, and stayed for the rest of their rental of 8 more days. My property manager tried to address their concerns by sending in the cleaning service again and having a technician check the AC units, but had to deal with the guests being very rude and unpleasant and making unreasonable demands, such as wanting just about everything changed out with new. The villa is not a brand new building and the humid tropical climate doesn't help; however, all the upkeep has been timely and any reported issues are redressed as soon as possible. It is unfortunate that this rental was unsatisfactory for both parties.

Large home

This is a large home with a big kitchen and amazing proximity to the beach. I recommend this house but it’s a bit tired and needed a good clean. The towels and linens were old and warn out. I recommend the house.

We strive to have the most accommodating environment for our guests. We will look into our cleaning service performance to either improve or obtain a better cleaning service. We will be replacing any towels and linens soon that do not meet our high standards.

The villa was beautiful, safe and comfortable!

The property was beautiful and very comfortable. We felt very safe within the community and would definitely book this property again. The location very convenient and private and allowed us to see and experience many different tours and nearby towns. The property owners and caretakers were very attentive to any needs we had and were very helpful with providing tips, tricks and recommendations for the area. Looking forward to coming back! Fantastic property in wonderful small beach town

Brilliant time for the entire family.

Lydia's condo is lovely, clean, fully equipped, and close to the beach. Pierre was at our beck and call. Extremely healthful. The entire complex had a power outage causing problems with the water and plumbing. Pierre had a plumber there ASAP. The problem was somewhat remedied. The pool near Villa 4 is lovely and close by. Speaking of "close by"...this condo is situated close to EVERYTHING: the beach, spas, the Mini Luperon (Grocery Store and much more); liqor and wine stores; and restaurants. Highly recommended. Thank you Lydia and Pierre !!!!

Beautiful villa in convenient, secure and quiet location near beach

Our family (2 grandparents, 2 parents, 2 school kids) enjoyed this lovely villa during Spring Break. The house is fully furnished with lots of towels and a well-appointed kitchen. We were delighted that the location was walking distance to the beach, restaurants and to the other VRBO house with the rest of our family. Roberto's and La Casita del Marisco's were our restaurants just steps away from the gated grounds. The gate guards were very helpful and the parking was secure. We had a difficult time prying 'Papa' from the beautiful pool each evening. Poolside, we met several of the Americans from neighboring villas and were given good advice on restaurants and activites nearby. Air conditioning, WiFi, and cable TV all worked well. Our only problem was that we didn't know that the municipal water system is turned off each night at 8 p.m. and back on at 7 a.m. due to water shortage. Had we known that, we wouldn't have run several loads of laundry, the dishwasher and multiple showers. We ran the reserve tank dry at 11:30 p.m. the first night. Pierre and Candida quickly arranged for the pump to be primed that next morning. Water pressure in the bathrooms and laundry room were excellent during the daytime. All in all, a really beautiful and convenient villa.

Magical Costa Rica

The villa was spacious and lovely with airy window treatments inviting guests to come outside and play. The spacious and well appointed villa faces west across the road from the beach. Stepping on the porch in the afternoon cast the villa in an almost magical light with tropical flowering bushes and trees. My husband and I had a wonderful time here, and highly recommend this property.

Great accommodations in a perfect location

The accommodations at this Villa were outstanding. The unit is nicely furnished with a great layout including a very open living area, kitchen, 1/2 bath, and den with sofa-sleeper on the first floor, with three spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor. The Villa is located within a beautiful secure gated community with a nice pool and 2 convenient parking spaces. The location was perfect, with an easy 5 minute walk to the local beach including several great beach-front restaurants and bars. As an added feature, access to Condovac facilities are provided, which includes an exercise facility, enormous pool, incredible view, very reasonable kayak rentals, and much more. My wife and I enjoyed our stay here, and give this Villa a very high recommendation.

My Go-To Rental in Costa Rica!

This was my third time staying at this rental. I will not stay anywhere else when I visit Costa Rica! The amenities are top-notch, the location is super convenient to the beach, and the owners provided suggestions for dining and activities that were all great. I highly recommend staying here!

Our favorite beach getaway in Costa Rica!

This was our second time staying here (third visit for my wife), which clearly shows how much we love it! We love visiting Costa Rica to get away from the hustle and bustle, and this is always going to be our first choice for accommodations. The place itself is fantastic. Everything feels relaxing and luxe, like a private spa. Outstanding A/C and showers for winding down after a day of tours and adventures, a spacious kitchen so you can cook for yourself when you like, and the sights and sounds of the ocean at all times. Which brings me to the next great thing about this place: location! Just a few steps from the awesome Playa Hermosa beach, which is beautiful, relaxing, and never too crowded. We walked down to comb for shells every morning before breakfast and loved it. The owners also provide tons of helpful info and local contacts for excursions, groceries, and food! Can't say enough good things - my wife and I are already looking forward to our next visit!

Clean beautiful ocean view

Villa was clean and beautiful and full of convenient amenities like a washer dryer and nicely outfitted kitchen. The ocean and local wildlife (howler monkeys and parrokeets) were visible and audible from the villa which was really cool. The beach is just across the street and lined with great restaurants. I visited almost every single one and i was not disappointed. I would definitely recommend this place.

Everything we could have wanted!

I stayed in Las Brisas for a 30th birthday celebration with 4 of my girlfriends, and we had the best time ever! I'm very thankful a membership to Condovac was included, because that pool was incredible! I will definitely be recommending Playa Hermosa and Las Brisas to anyone interested in visiting Costa Rica. The beach was across the street, and there was an amazing restaurant just a few steps from our condo, we ate there multiple times! We were able to book amazing excursions just outside our condo, too. The condo itself was huge, and the view from the top balcony was so beautiful.

Great villa, fantastic view, wonderful location.

My first comment would be that the listing does not do this property justice. With a very short walk to a fantastic beach, a pool just outside the door and several good restaurants close by, this is the perfect location for a relaxing vacation. That said, there are plenty of activities in the region that will keep even the most adventerous types happy. The villa itself is very spacious , immaculately clean, nicely finished/equipped and has a great view from the upper balcony. The property manager provides whatever level of support you need and the guys on the gate always provide a welcoming smile in addition to very unobtrusive security. We would definitely recommend Las Brisas to our friends and it will be at the top of our list when we next head back to Costa Rica.

Paradise is a Villa in Playa Hermosa

The accommodations at this Las Brisas Villa were outstanding. The unit is nicely furnished with a great layout including a very open living area, kitchen, 1/2 bath, and den with sofa-sleeper on the first floor, with three spacious bedrooms and 2 bathrooms on the second floor. The villa is located within a beautiful secure gated community with a nice pool and 2 convenient parking spaces. The location couldn't have been more perfect, with an easy 5 minute walk to the local beach including a few great beach-front restaurants and bars. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, and give this villa our highest recommendation.

Magical

This is our second year traveling to Costa Rica and staying at this villa. The villa was spacious and lovely with light airy window treatments inviting guests to come outside and play. The villa faces west across the road from the beach. Stepping on the porch in the afternoon cast the villa in an almost magical light with tropical flowering bushes and trees filled with ripe limes, lemons, and bananas.
