If you are looking for peace and quiet, look no further! Here is a restful haven with your peace in mind. We want you to enjoy your time out from the hectic pace of life and go the extra mile to ensure your comfort. The cottage is just a minute from the beach, so you'll have crashing waves to serenade you to sleep. Hector's food caravan (a literal hop, skip, and a jump away) is open to serve you the best local fish and chips on Friday and Saturday nights so you can simply put your feet up! North canterbury is abound with splendid wineries should you wish to venture a little further. Otherwise, Leithfield Beach boasts its own tennis courts, paddling pool for the kids, and playground. It is also a popular 4WD spot. Or simply meander along the beach with its many driftwood and pebble treasures. Amberley is just a five-minute drive and hosts some good eateries. You'll find all the necessary essentials here. But once you arrive at the cotttage, you probably won't want to leave! It's magic just staying put.

Our stay was for family birthday celebrations so didnt spend much time in or around the area. We had some difficulty finding the property but was dark otherwise really enjoyed our stay here

Lovely stay everything we needed .The two boys slept in sleeping bags on mats as we have had previous experience with very squeaky bunk beds , and this would have been the same . The dog loved being able to come with us and having a fully fenced section was amazing !

We arrived with no instructions as to here to find a key, we had to call book a batch to source contact details from the propwrty. The batch is cute and quirky, worthy of current costings to stay

Very relaxing

Great cottage,we all loved the cottage ,gorgeous back yard and enjoyed watching the birds.. it was very clean and had everything we needed.. so close to the beach too. We wished we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful seaside retreat

Loved my first stay at the cottage. So close to the city yet far enough away to feel you’d escaped the rat race. Had everything I needed and very comfortable (especially the bed ) and very friendly and responsive host without intruding into privacy. I’ll be back and recommended.

Amazing stay

From the time that we set eyes on your cottage we were hooked. The beautiful gardens front and back and the birds eating apples ,,. The atmosphere of the batch was amazing., We cranked up the fire and cooked potatoes so cool; Life as we knew it is still achievable.. Will definitley be back - .thank you for sharing your little piece of paradise.

A haven

From the minute I arrived I was impressed and delighted. Beautifully presented , scrupulously clean, quaint, quirky, comfortable , very private, within hearing of the sea, plentiful birdsong, easy access to beach, perfect spots for coffee outside at different times of the day. A truly awesome place to relax and take time out. Short drive from Chch. A definite place to add to your “escape to” list.

We couldn't fault anything - it is all thought of by the owners

We loved the wee cottage. Not too far to travel from Christchurch, yet in easy distance of Amberley if you had forgotten anything. Lovely and clean. All linen supplied and we were grateful to be able to walk out and leave without having to clean. Very, very quiet environs, right next to the campground and two minutes walk to the beach and forest trails. It had everything you needed - heat pump, new tv with all the apps, good hot water, great parking, and a fabulous private wee backyard - shame it rained, but that made us relax a bit more! We will definitely be back and recommend to anyone who likes quaint and cozy over new and flashy. Friends who were staying at the campground were impressed too.

This is a brilliant little bach. Private and peaceful with lots of sunny spots to sit, both inside and outside. You can hear the sea. Highly recommended.
