The cabin sits on a rather busy road... Right on the road, next to two canoe liveries. It is in fact generally quieter at home downtown Detroit than at the cabin. The cabin seems to misadvertised as a VRBO. It is in fact managed by North Woods Resort which is just down the way. When stopping in several times during office hours with inquiries no one was available to answer any questions. Be prepared for family members of the owners of the resort to be standing on the house's private dock fishing from time to time. Be prepared to to pay $5-10 per bundle for fire wood in the area, none is provided. Bring your own toilet paper - about 1/2 roll was left for our 5 night booking. Be prepared for dodgy internet and very limited tv service if those are important to you, cell is dodgy in the area as well.
Of note, one of the bedrooms is only accessed through the bathroom, and there is only 1, small bathroom. The basement bedroom has no door. The steps down to the river are dated and dangerous, be careful.
The proximity to many activities in the UP is great, and if you don't mind the general inconvenience of the space itself can provide a nice base for a small group. Accommodating more than 4-5 in your party would prove quite challenging.
