Anglers and off-shore explorers will love launching into the Cumberland River from the resort’s boat ramp, while travelers who prefer dry land can roam the rugged terrain of bordering Daniel Boone National Forest. Everything was clean and the cabin was so cute with the Halloween decorations for October! Plenty of room, game room was nice, hot tub was clean...we have no reason to go to Gatlinburg with this treasure available right up the road! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again! Host was GREAT and everything was incredibly easy. Great little gated community.

Cozy little vacation

Was a cute - cozy little cabin. Loved the area and how helpful the host was with accommodations. Very knowledgeable about the area and local trails to visit. Would stay here again.

Cozy and spacious cabin

Cabin was very spacious. The theme was very cool and different. The kids loved playing in the game room. Host was very helpful with any questions. Would stay again and recommend!

It's a beautiful cabin with a lot of really nice amenities. We had so much fun in the game room and really enjoyed the hot tub. When we had issues, they were quickly addressed. Overall, we had a great time.

Six girlfriends trip we are all in our 80s. The sleeping arrangement did not accommodate the bunkbeds downstairs were so difficult to get in and out of that room would only be for children 12 and under did enjoy the hot tub. The lighting outside was very dim senior citizens again have to see better. It’s not safe. We just thought the facilities towels bedding could have been updated towels especially were very ragged. There’s all sorts of dollar stores around and they’re very cheap. Sherry was wonderful. Did enjoy texting with her. She addressed all my concerns. Somethings just didn’t work. They needed to be repaired like the patio party lights around the hot tub. That would’ve been really neat. I’m sure she’ll address that soon.

Clean, Cute, & Cozy Cabin

This was the perfect place for a cozy girls' weekend in the Daniel Boone National Forest. The clean, well-appointed cabin felt like a tree house nestled in amongst the trees. We enjoyed the hot tub in the covered porch during a rainy day. Everything was clean and tidy. The cabin had everything you need from a game room, to a kids' bunkroom, and a fireplace. We particularly enjoyed the Lord of the Rings themed artwork and decor. The location was nestled in nature, but only 20-30 minutes from some really great restaurants in Somerset. The owner was communicative and thoughtful. Highly recommended!

Great getaway

The area is phenomenal. The house is close to the river, the Lake. There are many ways to enjoy nature. The weather kept us at the house but there are so many games there is always something to play. The foosball and shuffleboard tables are top notch. I look forward to revisiting in a warmer season.

Two nights with grandsons

Rivendell is charming. It is clean, comfortable and well stocked to meet your needs. I appreciated the large refrigerator with ice and water in the door and the neat kitchen space. This property is gated and feels very safe. The three swimming pools are surely a plus during the summer. In addition, there is a pickleball court on the property that is very appealing. Our grandsons enjoyed the downstairs space and the hot tub.The owner is very responsive and the housekeeper’s number is posted if you have any questions.

Raving the Rivendell!

Everything about this cabin was just what our family was looking for. Upon entering, we walked into the spacious open area including the kitchen area, dining room, and living room. A bedroom and bathroom were also located on the first floor. The lower level included two bedrooms and large bathroom with a shower and a jacuzzi tub. My family's favorite location in the entire cabin was the game room located downstairs as well. We spent lots of time playing on the indoor wooden shuffleboard, foosball, and games included. The door of the game room opened into the lower enclosed porch area including the hot tub. Of course, we enjoyed the hot tub several times throughout the weekend. We enjoyed the porch on the upper level as well. It was a nice area to grade papers and have a daily Bible study. It, of course, contained a beautiful view of the woods. If you are a Lord of the Rings fan, there are numerous "touches" throughout the cabin that tie into the film trilogy. Even though I have been criticized for not watching any of the movies, I still enjoyed the uniqueness of the decor. As I close my review, I must confess how impressed I was with the entry/exit of the gated community. The one-way driveway was much easier to navigate than the other gated areas.My children both gave the Rivendell a major thumbs-up! I agree with them. We can't wait to come again and stay at this quaint cabin!
