Great condo

We love staying at this property. It’s the second time we stayed there and enjoy the location. Everything on the boardwalk is within walking distance. Restaurants, bars and shops are all right there.

Spring Break

This property was exactly as described...EXCELLENT! The host responded promptly to any questions I had. And the location was exactly where we wanted to be on The Boardwalk. I would recommend this property to any family on vacation, you will not be disappointed.

Destin condo

We had a great time at Destin celebrating an engagement and birthday. Our accommodations were great. Plenty of room in the condo and it was on convenient to the elevator and garage as well as to all the attractions and restaurants at the harbor walk village.

Super convenient

Great stay at Emerald Grande. It is convenient and close to Boardwalk shops, bars, and restaurants. We didn't need to drive anywhere, and there was ample parking. The beach shuttle was convenient, and the staff was great. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided at the beach. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is a bit pricey; the bars are located right across the parking lot and were loud a few nights. The condo was clean and well-stocked for a week's stay for 5 people. It was also a good size with large bedrooms and bathrooms.

Almost a great stay

Emerald Grand is a nice place to stay but unfortunately, our personal unit was not good. The unit was dirty and our feet got black just walking through it barefoot. After we checked in, the maid was still in our unit cleaning when we walked in the room. She said she had problems with the washer and it was making her behind on finishing but she said all she had left to do was mop the master bedroom. She wouldn't stop talking and just do her job so we finally told her to go and not worry about mopping the master bedroom. We wanted to relax, not listen to her complain. She certainly had more left to do than what she said because the shower had black hair all over the walls and the counters looked unclean. The beds were nice and comfy, but the frame of the bed has a weird design and it sticks out, making it easy to trip over. My spouse stubbed his toe on the bed frame so bad it tore half of his toenail off and he was bleeding and screaming in pain. The toilet in one of the bathrooms had a broken seat and moved if you tried to sit on it.

From the Owner: "Thank you for your feedback. I'm very sorry to hear that your experience did not meet expectations.On the day of your arrival, our previous guests checked out later than scheduled, which left our cleaning team with limited time to prepare the unit. While our cleaner was still finishing up, we understand you preferred privacy and asked her to leave early. Unfortunately, this meant that some areas, such as mopping and final touch-ups, were not completed, and we sincerely apologize for that.We do thoroughly wash all linens and towels with our in-unit washer, and we take cleanliness seriously. I’ve followed up with our team to ensure this situation does not happen again.Regarding the toilet seat, it was not broken but had a loose screw, which has since been tightened. As for the bed frame, it is a standard design without sharp edges, but we’ll take a closer look to ensure it’s as safe and guest-friendly as possible. We’re truly sorry to hear about your spouse’s injury and hope they are recovering well.We appreciate your comments, as they help us improve the experience for all future guests. Best regards."

Stay was okay

Overall stay was okay. Unit was cleaned well. Check in process seemed unprofessional and disorganized, not the experience I would expect at this kind of property. Staff seemed overwhelmed. This unit faces the bars and restaurants on the boardwalk—windows in unit do not block sound well. Was loud with music, sirens, yelling until 2-3am. We were traveling with an adult group and used white noise played on cellphones to drown it out, but if traveling with small children sleep may be disturbed. Coolers with drinks not allowed on pool deck, there is a pool side bar. Beach access is a short boat shuttle away, runs every 30 mins during prime season. Rather convenient but good to know if you prefer a beach you can easily walk to. We are not likely to stay again but could see a type of vacation/person that this place would appeal to. Lots of bars and restaurants in walking distance. Poolside food menu was better than expected.

Great location, ok unit

Absolutely would stay at the Emerald Grande again, but would stay in another unit. It was fine, but know it is not perfect. Upon check in the master bedroom was locked so we had to be let in by maintenance. Not a big deal, but after a long day of travel it was a slight inconvenience. The cleanliness of the unit was disappointing and required us to clean the fridge due to food crumbs and spills left in the fridge along with the countertops and floor. The property manager was very apologetic and explained the visitors prior to us left a huge mess. Understandable, but still another inconvenience. Items were left from previous guests in the freezer and in the master bathroom. The faucet on the bar sink was busted along with several door handles. The bunk room had can tabs stuck in the rug and braces rubberbands on the floor. Paint and a few other updates would go a long way in this unit. Unit overlooked the parking lot with limited views of the ocean. I was aware of this prior to booking and was worried about noise from the parking lot and boardwalk, but it was not an issue at all. There were never any disturbances throughout our stay. If I were to stay again, I would look at other more updated units. On a positive note, the unit manager was very prompt in communication.

We followed up after reading your feedback, and we wanted to share the following:- The master bedroom door lock issue was due to the prior guest, and we were glad to have maintenance resolve it promptly upon your arrival.- All food items left in the unit were sealed; however, we understand this may not have been preferred, and we will ensure the fridge and freezer are fully cleared moving forward.- The bar sink faucet is in good working order, but we’ll continue to inspect all fixtures regularly to ensure they are in great condition.- We are changing cleaning crews to provide a higher level of service for future guests.We appreciate your feedback as we continue to make sure the home is fully prepared and comfortable for all guests."

Beautiful Resort!

Before arriving I reached out to the direct contact assigned to me. Kim was rude, told me she was eating lunch ,and to call her back. I was shocked, so she definitely set the tone for the expensive trip we had booked. Definitely gross, and unprofessional representation of Evolve. I was not pleased at all with the customer service. I reached out several times to discuss the issues I found when I arrived and did not receive any form of communication back the entire stay. Also note, if you need anything in reference to toilet paper, paper towels, you can not get it from the front desk since we booked through Evolve. The store onsite does not open until 9. So please go shopping and purchase these items ahead of time. Overall, the condo was beautiful and we had a great time with family and friends. We will never book through Evolve again.
