The Clark family has called this special piece of the Central Coast their own since the 1980s. Over the years, they designed the home and surrounding landscape themselves, raised their children here, and created countless family memories throughout the property.

Today, the Clarks still live on the property on a separate lot and are happy to share a place that has meant so much to their family for so many years. They love knowing that guests can now experience the beauty of Avila Valley, explore the property, and enjoy the beaches, trails, wineries, and relaxed Central Coast lifestyle that their family has enjoyed for decades.

Their hope is that during your stay, the property feels like a place where you can slow down, spend time together, and make a few special memories of your own.

We chose this area because it truly offers the best of the Central Coast. See Canyon and Avila Valley have a peaceful, country feel surrounded by rolling hills, orchards, wildlife, and beautiful scenery, yet you’re only minutes from Avila Beach and downtown San Luis Obispo.

What we love most is how much there is to enjoy right nearby. You can spend the morning walking or biking the Bob Jones Trail, visit Avila Valley Barn, relax at Sycamore Mineral Springs, enjoy local wineries and restaurants, or head down to the beach for the afternoon.

After living here for decades, we still appreciate the quiet mornings, beautiful evenings, and slower pace of the valley. It feels tucked away from the busier parts of the Central Coast without actually being far from anything—and that is what has made this area so special to our family.

What makes our property special is the space, history, and setting. The home sits on a beautiful 14-acre property in Avila Valley that our family has cared for and enjoyed since the 1980s. We designed the home and landscaping ourselves and raised our family here, so there is a lot of history and many wonderful memories throughout the property.

Guests have room to truly enjoy the outdoors, with walking paths, fruit trees, native wildlife, a private pond, and plenty of open space to explore. The backyard is made for spending time together, whether you’re relaxing in the hot tub, gathering around the fire pit, playing games on the lawn, or simply enjoying a quiet Central Coast evening.

Inside, the 2,850-square-foot home offers something that can be hard to find in a vacation rental—plenty of room for everyone. Multiple living and gathering spaces make it easy for families and groups to spend time together without feeling crowded.

Perhaps what makes it most unique is that you can enjoy the peace and privacy of a country retreat while still being just minutes from Avila Beach, San Luis Obispo, wineries, trails, dining, and many of the Central Coast’s favorite destinations.
