Lovely cottage with everything you need to have a nice holiday. Great location within minutes of Port Elgin and Southampton. The sunsets were spectacular.

Location was great for walking. Weather wasn’t great so didn’t experience the beaches. However, we did enjoy our 2 chairs at the little beach to read and/or watch the sunsets. Cottage was comfortable.

Fantastic

The house was very clean and welcoming. Despite no AC it was very comfortable and serene. Had no issues with anything during our stay. Appreciated all of the appliances provided. Definitely would stay here again!

Great property for a small group of people - cottage is clean, well maintained and comfortable, despite no A/C during a heat wave, but we knew that going in! We had a lovely time. We wish the access to the fire pit was a little more accessible - it was in a more wooded area. We didn’t have any real issues and the host was responsive to our questions before and during our stay! Would stay again!

A few small touches could make it even better:•Adding a few more wall hooks would be helpful, especially since the space is cozy and guests naturally want to hang jackets, towels, and bags.•Expanding the kitchen tool selection (e.g., a mandoline or other utility items) would make cooking even easier.•Labels in the kitchen could help guests quickly find what they need.Overall, we had a great time, and these small additions would make an already lovely place even more convenient and comfortable.

Lovely Little Gem

We had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean, cozy. The host was very kind and very responsive. It was located in a fantastic area, with lots to do in surrounding area. We will be back!

Stayed with 4 people (2 adults, 15&13 year olds) it was cozy but we had a great weather week and were outside sitting on the porch and in the water so it was perfect

Great Place to Getaway!

It is a nice place in a quiet cottage community. Beautiful area, easy access to walking trails right at back of property. There is a communal deck at the front entrance if you want to enjoy the view of the sunset over the bay. Also 2 chairs down on the beach that we used. Really enjoyed paddling around the bay in the kayaks that the owner made available for our use. We did have to carry the kayaks down to the water and across the road (about 100 metres) but road is not busy & speed limit is low so not an issue. Fire pit area out back and firewood was supplied. Small private deck with chairs for us to sit on where we enjoyed several meals. 5 minutes from grocery store and 10 minutes from Walmart, LCBO, restaurants, etc. Bed was comfortable, cottage nicely renovated. We would stay again and recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors!
