Amazing stay, clean property and has everything you need

We spend the weekend with our friends and family. Stay was short for us but we had an amazing time. We had everything we need. The place was clean and what we expected. I will come back if we need to.

This was the perfect place for my family to use as a home base while we were staying in Port Elgin. The home was spotless, and had absolutely everything we needed - lots of towels and the kitchen had everything you could think of. Beds were comfortable! The amenities on the property were great! Mel & Rob were very helpful, accommodating and pleasant to chat with! Would love to come back again!

Huge lot, great for a big family (or two)

We had an amazing stay at this cottage! I went with my kids and cousins, and everyone had a blast. The property is clean, spacious, and very private—with a massive grassy lot perfect for a golf driving range, a long driveway, and tons of space to play.The cottage came stocked with great extras like a basketball net, bikes, and a ping pong table, which kept everyone entertained. Plus, it’s only 10 minutes from several beautiful beaches, making it the perfect summer getaway spot. Highly recommend for families or groups looking to relax and have fun!

This was our first vrbo property rental and we couldn’t have been happier! Very clean, lots of room for our families to enjoy the weekend together. The children thoroughly enjoyed playing outside on the large property. Lots to do and keep us busy. BBQing lunch was a favourite and having two family rooms gave adults and children their own spaces too! Towels were available, laundry room was an asset to our stay when baseball uniforms needed cleaning. Our hosts Melanie and Rob were very helpful and quick to respond with any messages before and after our stay. I would definitely book here again if we are ever in the area!

Great stay!

We had a lovely time staying at this cottage. The location was great. It felt completely secluded yet we were within minutes of grocery stores, restaurants etc. The house was clean and has some great character. It is well equipped with everything you might need even to the amazing smelling shampoo and soap. The second kitchen was nice to have. The yard is massive. The kids had fun chipping some golf balls and playing baseball. An added bonus was the shed that has a dart board and ping pong. Loads of fun. Melanie is a wonderful host. Very quick to respond and very thoughtful and kind. We were here for a baseball tournament…but wish we had more time to spend at this wonderful spot. We hope to come back again one day!! Highly recommend.

Summer 2025

We traveled from AZ to Port Elgin for a funeral and family retreat. So many things had already gone awry, by the time we arrived we were feeling a little defeated. The instructions provided for checking in were spot on and so easy, the home is absolutely gorgeous as well as the spacious property! Mel knew it was our daughter’s birthday and had balloons set up for her, we felt so welcomed and appreciated I got tears in my eyes!! The home is cozy and fit our family of four easily and we could still have our own space (we had been in close confines for quite a bit of time). The games and activities (basketball, ping pong) kept us all entertained and active, the beach is close as well as groceries and really anything you would need. Mel went above and beyond for our family, we have never had a better experience with VRBO. Mel truly is an angel and you can see very quickly that she truly finds joy in being a host!!! All our best Mel, we hope to come stay at your property again in the future
