This was our first time in North Carolina and it won’t be our last. The house, the view was amazing. Gorgeous sunrises and distance to the beach was perfect. Hot tub was my favorite. Can’t wait to come back. Looking forward to our next adventure at the beach. PS…..we could not believe we were only Few houses from the Inn at Rodanthe, we thought we were movie stars.

I gave 4/5 instead of 5/5 due to unsatisfactory cleanliness upon arrival and a few maintenance issues - some lights not working and damage to screen door and dresser drawer. We disinfected the floor because it smelled of pet urine. The house itself was very nice. Hot tub was cleaned the day we arrived. Great view and the host was responsive to my comments.

This is a spacious, well placed home right on the ocean with enough space between house and dune and high enough that our car was safe even with some flooding on the street one night. The home was clean and ready for move-in. Kitchen is adequate for most needs, not exceptional but it works for most. Outside shower always a plus. Even had some chairs, umbrella which we did not use but did use the nice beach sifter to snag some big sand fleas for bait, Nice ...would also be good for sea glass and small shells. Did not use hot tub but pool-spa maintenance person kept it up during the first week. View is very nice any time of day. Convenient to most that you will need and of all Hatteras villages shortest drive to Nags Head, Manteo and other popular spots plus perfect spot for nature buffs looking at pea island. From beginning to end Village realty was accessible and friendly whether thru VRBO message board or phone/text which was very helpful due to our mandatory evacuation.

Proximity to the beach was great, cleanliness was great and the house was pretty well maintained. Only complaint is that the kitchen was not well stocked with utensils and pots/pans. We had to buy more silverware and all the nonstick pans were not safe to use due to flaking of the nonstick coating. But not a big deal in the grand scheme of things and we had a wonderful time!

Everything at the house, the accommodations, the staff for the realty company all that was great. We only had one big issue and it was mosquitoes attacking you the first few nights of our stay. Our host sent someone out to spray and after that we were able to go outside and enjoy ourselves without worry of having 20 to 30 welts on your body. I know it sounds like a small issue, but when you can’t even sit outside on your balcony or walk to the beach, without being eaten up, it puts a little damper on things but an active nature. I was very pleased with how the host responded and sent someone out as soon as they could.

Perfect location, and easy check in. The views were amazing and the beach was very accessible. The house itself could use a little TLC. I would recommend bringing your own bedding for your stay.

Perfect location

This was my family’s first time to the Outer Banks and it was wonderful. This property was perfectly located with easy access to local shops but more removed from the busier Nags Head and Avon. The size and amenities were as expected, overall I think the property could use some general updates, but it did not detract from our amazing vacation.

Just a short walk from the beach, and not busy at all. Great view! House needs some updates. The house definitely had a dog in it previously due to a good amount of hair around. Also master bath shower and lav were clogged, we just used the other bathroom. Other than that great experience! The hottub was awesome!

Nice, quiet. Magnificent views.

Well-maintained. Beautiful and quiet location. Entrance to property could have been better to make it more visible from the road. A touch up to the entrance sign might have made entrance more visible. Very limited dishes, silverware and glassware.

Although we were just a short walk from the beach, the place was a disappointment. When we got there it was obvious the floor had not been swept or mopped; there were balls of pet hair in the corners and under tables, dirt and sand on all the floors. We were told that the cleaning crew would not be able to come so I asked if they could at least provide a cleaning solution and I would clean the floor myself. Next, the air conditioning was not working, the maintenance man had to bring in window units. In addition to those issues, we could not get the television to work and then the hot tub would not heat up. The hot tub was not fixed until our 4th day there. This meant that maintenance workers were there almost everyday, not the private and relaxing vacation we had hoped for. We ended up leaving a day early and were offered no compensation.
