The layout of the home was fantastic. The location and number of beds/baths accommodated our group well. However, for the amount of money spent on the rental, the condition did not match the price. The hot tub was filthy and broken; the gas grill was filthy and broken; the carpet was dirty; the plumbing was not working properly; there were 2 mice in the home during our stay; the freezer handle was broken; and some lights were not working. You could quickly and easily tell this home has not been maintained very well. Super sad bc the home itself (layout, size and location) is awesome. Once again, the condition did not match the price.

Cabin was great and views were awesome. The best part was the large and open living and dining areas that open onto a good sized deck and allowed our group of 14 adults to hang out very comfortably. Some in our group said that they would definitely rent this cabin again. The only down side was trying to locate a dumpster to dispose of the trash.

Family Vacation

Amazing stay. Great location, the view was amazing. We had 20 people ranging from 9 months to 78 yrs old. Something for everyone to do. The main level was great for my elderly parents and Handicapped aunt. We cooked every meal and had everything we needed. Thank you again for a great vacation.

Great place for a big group!!!

This place is great for a big group!!! 9 bedrooms with a bathroom in each one made it very nice for each couple. The house is beautiful & the big deck was a great place to have coffee & hang out. We would definitely stay there again!!!

great for large family vacation

clean, roomy, comfortable, well stocked with supplies. Kitchen was large enough for us to cook family dinners for 19 people and stocked with enough dishes, large pots and pans and electric appliances. Beds were very comfortable. Kids loved that it came with deer and hummingbirds - really loved the back porch.

Great Property

This is a great property. All of the rooms are master bedrooms with bathrooms, which is nice. There is plenty of space for the 23 guests this home can host. The location is amazing with breathtaking views. The overall cleanliness could be better; it needs some upkeep. Handrails on the stairs were loose. The pool table could be replaced. Visible patches on the walls, and one of the showers didn't work well. All minor maintenance.

Good for larger groups

Spacious with lots of room for large groups. Beds were comfortable. Bathrooms clean. Floors really a thorough cleaning. Location is good, nice view. Were able to communicate with manager to have our door lock fixed.

Annual Golf Tournament

We rented two houses in the area for two 12 man teams. Captains played Match Play to decide which team got to select houses and I won and selected Abbey Lodge. My team was so happy with the accommodation. Easily slept 12 of us, was super clean with all the amenities and more. I would recommend this place more than 5 stars if I could.

Family vacation

One Smoke detector was beeping intermittently and then whole house alarms went off at 5:30 in morning. Firefighters didn’t detect anything. Ovens went out with error code; no ice maker; calcium buildup on dishes; return air grates were filthy. Refrigerator had missing trays and broken door. Had light bulbs out House was great layout for large family but it needs some TLC in maintenance.

Hello, it was very hard to get a hold of the host. First night we were locked out of the house for a couple of minutes because they sent us the wrong code for the door. The code for the door ended up being the jacuzzi, thank God for my daughter thinking to try that. There we no measuring cups, so we had to go out and buy some. We also found things in 1 room and 2 restrooms. In the room we found someone's clothing in the closet, in the other restroom we found dirty socks and then the last restroom we found hair extension. The jacuzzi never got past 89 degrees and we also saw that it was leaking. Serval of the dining room chairs were loose and my son in law had to fix them. The washer worked GREAT, but the DRYER was a different story, it kept stopping even when the clothes were not dry.The beds were comfortable though. I hope they can fix these things and it would make the house a lot better. I would LOVE to give A GREAT THANK YOU TO Chris the maintence man, he helped us get out when the hill was full of snow and had ice.

Great place to come. The mule deer you could feed out of your hand.

Master bedroom did not lock. Smoke alarm went off when dish washer was on. Couches in living room should be replaced. Other than that all was great!

The house was nice, great size and beautiful view.

We did experience some issues. The sewer was overflowing outside so the smell was awful and numerous broken items. The heat on the main floor wouldn’t come on so our rooms were very cold.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We all enjoyed our stay at Abbey Lodge very much. The house is beautiful and comfortable and accommodated our large group very well. Ever room was clean, all of the appliances worked, the game room was awesome and the hot tub was a big hit. All in all, no one in our group wanted to leave. The staff at Condotel were very helpful and accommodating through the entire process. In a nutshell we had a GREAT experience!

Pros and cons

The cons, drive up to house is scary as is driveway...Internet kept going out...dining furniture is unstable...cleaning was so so on main level...game tables are worn and damaged..living room needs curtains or blinds to block early morning sunlight.. Pros, it has tons of space for large gatherings, the game room and hot tub are a big hit as is the decks with veiw.Never knew how awesome 9 bathrooms would be until 20+ of us stayed at this place and never even ran out of hot water!

My family & I really enjoyed our stay at this lodge. It had plenty of room for all of us and I like how there is a bathroom in each room. The views are amazing! Being able to sit on the balcony next to the fireplace and look down at all the nature was incredible! The only things that I didn’t like was that there were a lot of things that were old and needed to replaced like in one of the rooms there is a bed sheet that was all ripped up with safety pins in it . Most of the linens on the beds are old and outdated . The shower liners were very dirty and needed to replaced as well as the toilet bowl cleaners . You have to take your garbage with you and the nearest garbage can is far, mind you the house is on a steep hill and you have to go up a narrow road to get to the house so you have to take your trash all the way to the bottom of the road which is a huge inconvenience but other than that I really enjoyed my time here and it’s worth going !

So much potential

We had a group of 22 ranging in age from 6 to 81. The house is gorgeous and the views are spectacular. The beds were very comfortable but also very high! The house is wonderful in so many ways but there are lots of things that need to be updated. There were only 9 dining room chairs. We were told to use the chairs on the porch and they brought us a few more outdoor chairs for the dining area. This meant moving chairs inside and outside depending on where we were using them. We also only had 4 spoons. Really?? They brought us more utensils but this should have been handled prior to our arrival. The fridge is not big enough when you are feeding 22 people. Same with laundry facilities. Only one washer and dryer. Also the ovens would just randomly turn off while cooking. The water is not hooked up to the refrigerator so it doesn't provide water or make ice. This meant we had to go buy ice everyday and keep it in our coolers because we didn't have any freezer space. The mixer and two of the blenders were broken. It would not take a lot of money to fix these items and to upgrade the small kitchen appliances and utensils. We travel in this size group all the time so we know what to expect.

Large family gathering- overpriced for what you get.

The house is big and nicely situated on a hillside with a great view. The 9 bedrooms worked well for our large group (21). The decks were nice and people enjoyed the hot tub. But not everything was fantastic. The downsides include: - broken down and uncomfortable couches - broken freezer handle - dishwasher quit working - advertised chairs and tables for 23, but only had 13 chairs. - the knives were all dull and none of the 3 can openers worked - the tvs were very small and outdated (no streaming/casting) - the beds had plastic bed covers which were awkward to sleep on. - several sinks were quick to back up - by day 2 we could smell sewer; assuming the septic needs to be pumped. - the driveway is very steep and the gravel parking in front of the house was 3/4 mud. - the refrigerator’s ice and water were disconnected - no spare sheets, blankets, or throw pillows - fireplace on the back deck was non-functional - the trash dumpster is at least a mile away - the game room equipment is showing it’s age and missing key pieces The Pros: - the management was responsive when we called - they sent maintenance to look at the dishwasher and bring game room pieces - lots of towels and storage - the heater worked well - the place was clean - kitchen was relatively well stocked with small appliances, utensils, plates, bowls, etc. This was a nice place and fulfilled our needs. However, for the price, we expected a bit more comfort.

La pasamos muy bien pero Tuvimos un detalle con el agua de la casa ya que los primeros días tuvimos agua caliente y a partir del cuarto día no salía agua caliente en las regaderas Tuvimos problemas eléctricos ya que la televisión en el área de la sala no funciona, tampoco la chimenea de adentro de la casa , el asador estaba es malas condiciones
