Welcome to V A L E N C I A V I S T A S at La Casa Cottage Resort!
We want everyone to have an amazing vacation at La Casa Resort therefore, we want to ensure that the following considerations have been taken into account before you request to book. These are a few of the things that once in a while we hear as possible negatives about our amazing resort. If any of these items may be an issue for you, please consider a different location for your booking.
❗️We are 30 minutes outside of West Kelowna. There are no major grocery stores or gas stations on the way. We have a small onsite store with "resort pricing". Best to shop in West Kelowna ahead of time.
❗️The road to the resort is fairly windy, especially from the Kelowna side and can be narrow at times.
❗️The resort does get periodic power outages - on average it seems about once every 1.5 - 2 months lasting around 6 hours (our power lines are all above ground and bird strikes and falling trees happen sometimes). This is out of our control and goes along with being in a more remote location.
❗️Our resort’s new state-of-the-art water treatment facility is now fully operational. While the resort is currently under a water advisory during the startup phase, boiling water is NOT required (but optional). Recent testing has shown no issues and the water quality is as good as or better than before the new treatment plant was built.
❗️The resort is very large (500 cottages) and spread over a fairly steep hill. The beach is a 2-3 minute drive down the hill and it is a rocky beach, not a Hawaii type beach.
❗️Pools/hot tubs/aqua park are seasonal.
❗️We do have a guest registration form/info document to e-sign as we are in a strata resort.
❗️For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have external security cameras.
❗️We do not have local garbage pick up as we are remote, so we do ask guests to take their garbage to our refuse area within the resort.

Relax with the whole family at this like new, beautiful home. Enjoy two amazing decks with stunning views of the lake with 180° views. Perfect for ultimate relaxation, whether sunbathing or savouring a glass of wine, while enjoying the lake breeze.

~6 person dining table is in the Veranda which is a screened in room (amazing in the Summer, but may be chilly certain times of the year)

► PLEASE NOTE ◄
►Minimum booking days may vary by date depending on the neighboring booking dates and vrbo may not reflect these minimums
►Garage is owner's supply storage and not included in the rental
►There is 2-4 car parking on the driveway and extra parking very close by.
►For the security of our guests and the safety of our home, we have external security cameras located:
1. Over the garage which monitors the driveway/front yard.
2. Doorbell camera which monitors the front door/entry porch.
3. Along the backside of the house (not an area where there are decks or patios)
4. Inside the garage (owner's only area)
There are NO inside cameras.
►Pool & hot tubs are open seasonally. Lower pool and hot tub is open approx. May 1 to Canadian Thanksgiving and the upper pool & hot tub are open approx. May 15 to early September. Closures can happen due to maintenance but there will normally be at least one pool and one hot tub open between the start of May and the end of September, but we can not guarantee due to unforseen events.
►The fireplace is for "decor" only. It is a wood burning fireplace, so for liability reasons we ask that guests do not use the fireplace (there are only a couple of wood burning fireplaces in La Casa and one of them had a chimney fire).
► *Families with children please read*
Cottage is family-friendly but not child-proof. Property is NOT FENCED in and the resort is surrounded by wooded nature. Children must be watched by a capable adult. Also, the lower two bedrooms have patio doors that exit to outside and a large fairly steep hill below. There are two locks on each patio door (standard lock and floor lock), but if your child is an escape artist, this may not be a good fit property.
► The resort is in a wooded area that is largely wilderness. As such, it is possible to get 4-6-8 (or more) legged, winged, or crawling visitors both outside and inside. This cannot be 100% prevented even with regular pest control.
► Never leave food items in the vehicles, and never leave food, food leftovers, or trash outside.
► A FEW RULES ◄
►This is a family resort, so no parties. Please respect our neighbours, quiet time is between 9am to 10pm. Fines from bylaw will be charged to guest.
► Guest will need to sign an e-sign, agree to strata rules, and resort guest registration form via adobe e-sign within 2 days of receipt (guest needs to provide their email address for the e-sign within 24 hours of reservation being accepted).
►Minimum age to rent 28. Photo id needed to verify renter name and age of renter.
►Guests are responsible to review strata rules and are responsible for any fines imposed by the strata for breaking any strata rule.
►Maximum 7 guests, including children/babies and strata fines for over occupancy, which guest is responsible to pay ($200 per fine). Immediate cancellation of booking without refund if maximum occupancy is exceeded.
► No refunds will be given for weather/power/internet outages, fear of driving on narrow roads, change of plans, or life events. Please consider appropriate TRAVEL INSURANCE.
►Sorry, no pets (but we can not guarantee there have been no pets, if you are sensitive to this or have allergies).
