Relax in our sweet little warm and cosy cottage. Sit under the stars, on the balcony. Inside with a glass of wine around the fire. Perfect for 2. We love our old 1970s historical cottage we renovated. We think it's special Hope you do too.
Surrounded by green rural open space with lots of wildlife. Old 1870's cottage with 2 charming original bedrooms, both with electric blankets, full kitchen, bathroom, open living room with wood fire set up ready to light. Reverse cycle airconditioning in the living room. Parking on the property under the carport.
Pets considered. Please ask if you want to bring a pet. Well behaved house-trained dogs only. Property is not fully fenced. Must supervise your dog.

Lisa and Ben were incredibly thoughtful and hospitable to both our dog and us. When we arrived at the cottage, we found it to be very charming and clean. They had prepared snacks for us, including a loaf of bread, eggs, and butter. Additionally, they made sure the room was cool by turning on the air conditioning, which was much appreciated on that warm day.They also took special care of our dog by providing dog treats, sheets, and a beach towel for when our little one wanted to sit on the couch or needed to be wiped down. The cottage featured a beautiful garden and a small creek, adding to its charm. Lisa and Ben even left birdseed on the deck, and we enjoyed feeding the birds twice a day during our stay.My husband was fascinated by the stars, satellites in the night sky, and watching small bats in the evening. We had passed through Rydal a few times in the past five years and had longed for a peaceful cottage surrounded by the beauty of nature. This stay was truly a delightful experience.

Rydal getaway

Beautiful little cottage with all you need. Great set up in kitchen. Next we will just cook from here, so well set up. Great home away from home. Very cosy with lots of spots to stop and relax inside and outside. Host have thought of everything. Thank you Lisa and Ben for a great anniversary weekend away.

The perfect country getaway

Loved everything about the place. Old world charm but with great amenities and absolutely beautiful gardens. Lisa a terrific host and made us feel very welcome with clear instructions and a spotlessly clean house. Very comfortable and the perfect country getaway with lovely surrounding area. Already looking forward to booking again and coming back in winter so we can enjoy the fireplace!

Adorable Country Cottage

Pretty as a picture, with fabulous attention to detail. Comfy, cozy, relaxing and just so beautiful. The garden is just lovely, the cottage itself is just wonderful. We loved our stay and can't wait to book again. Lisa and Ben are fantastic hosts, the Old Oak Tree Cottage is very well equipped with every thing you need and much more. Thank you so much for allowing us to experience your adorable cottage.

Pure serenity at the old oak cottage

We arrived after dark on friday night to find the cottage warm and cozy. From the moment we pulled into the driveway to see the little cottage all lit up waiting for our arrival, we felt welcome. The next morning opening the curtains we were met with a beautiful sight. The grounds of the cottage are absolutely gorgeous. We spent many hours next to the babbling brook reading in the warm winter sun. Late afternoon we headed inside to sit by the fire and relax. The cottage was well kitted out with everything we needed. No detail was spared. The beds were comfy and cozy with electric blanks to keep us snug. The kitchen was fully equiped with everything imaginable and then some. The owner was so lovely, leaving fresh bread,eggs and a bottle of wine for us to enjoy. We were sad to leave and come home, honestly this cottage is the most charming place we have stayed. We loved it so much we are just about to book our next stay. 10/10 highly recommended.
