The good; location, parking & upstairs portion of house. Major communication issues; I had no response when I contacted her. After 2 days went by I message her a different way . She did reply quickly from that site, but didn’t know anything about our booking. Got that straightened out and she provided us her number for further communication. Upon arrival we had not received the check in code, 40 minutes after ck in time we received the code. Host was on vacation and gave us another number to call if needed. Knowing it was an older house I wasn’t looking for a sparkling place, but there were definitely some concerns. When my daughter went to make her bed and removed the bedspread, there was sand on it, which made us think it had not been cleaned. The shower curtain in the master bathroom was cover with mildew. The kitchen was nice and fresh along with the sitting area. We did have to wipe down the outside deck chairs and table they clearly hadn’t been cleaned recently. After reading the manual about the ticks (If we had been traveling with kids or pets) we would have not let them in the yard as the grass was too tall . Also in the manual there is a section that states, if you aren’t happy with the cleanest of the space they will come and re-clean in the first 24 hours of your stay, by the time we read that is was too late & with us already “moved” it we wouldn’t have done that anyway. Overall it’s fine .
