Canopache (Wampanoag Indisch woord voor 'plaats van vrede')
Fantastische 2600 vierkante voet naar huis, voltooid in oktober 2003. Je kunt het geluid van de branding horen vanuit dit omgekeerde huis op 3 hectare met kathedraalplafonds, tonnen zonlicht en prachtig uitzicht op de oceaan. Warm, licht, open, luchtig en vredig beschrijven dit uitnodigende uitje.

Bovenste verdieping heeft een open plattegrond, open haard en kathedraal plafonds in de woonkamer en eetkamer, master suite met kathedraal plafond en balkon, en keuken met Corian tellers, esdoorn slager blok eiland met Italiaanse glazen hangers. Woonkamer opent naar een groot dek met 180 graden uitzicht op de oceaan. Eerste verdieping heeft een grote entree, 3 slaapkamers, den met een ligbed en terrasdeuren die openen naar het tweede dek.

Buiten is er een grote privétuin met hortensia's, strandrozen, stenen muren en loopbruggen, wilde bloemen en een grote tuin met een geweldige buitendouche. Het is een korte wandeling naar de oceaan en 6 mijl naar de stad.

Het huis is volledig uitgerust voor uw vakantiebehoeften. Volledig ingericht met leuke accenten en uitgebreide landschapsarchitectuur. Voorzieningen zijn onder andere een dvd-bibliotheek met meer dan 200 selecties, 32 inch plasma HD-tv, alle kabelkanalen, DVR-mogelijkheden op 2 televisies, tonnen boeken, puzzels, games, gratis lange afstand, dubbele hangmat op groot privé-gazon, 6-pits roestvrijstalen Weber-gas grill, een volledig uitgeruste keuken met een scala aan potten en pannen, aantrekkelijke gerechten en serveerstukken, Cuisinart, wok, kookboeken, enz.

Beautiful, just as described

We had a wonderful time staying here. We spent a lot of time outside playing in the yard, there was plenty of space for all of us and the kitchen had everything we could’ve needed! Would definitely stay again!

We Keep Coming bACK To Canopache!

We've tried various rentals over the past 15 years visiting Nantucket, and Canopache is by far our favorite!! (our 5th year in 2025!!) We love the house, the location and the peacefulness! The sunrises and sunsets are magnificent! It's also a short walk to the ocean! And a short bike ride to the bike path! It's all good! Looking forward to another stay and making more wonderful memories in 2026!

Our Happy Place

I am almost reluctant to share our secret! We have been coming to Canopache for 11 years, it is truly our happy place. Peaceful and quiet, at night you are under a carpet of stars. It's only a short ride to Sconset and Town is about 20 minutes away (far enough to be out of the fray, but close enough if you want to head in for dinner). Marcie couldn't be a better host and the house is fully equipped with everything you need for a great beach vacation! We love Canopache! Karene and Al

Wonderful House and Setting for a Nantucket Vacation!

Fabulous house for a Nantucket family vacation. Lots of space for our group of 6 adults. We enjoyed several wonderful dinners with family and friends thanks to the thoughtfully provisioned kitchen. Days started and ended on the deck taking in the gorgeous views. We highly recommend.

Great house on a great piece of property.

Warm and comfortable house that was clean and well maintained. Kitchen was spacious and well stocked with dinner ware and house wares. Bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and very comfortable. Decks had great views of the Atlantic in the near distance, and the property was beautiful and very well maintained.

We had a fantastic stay at this Tom Navers Nantucket property! Everything was exactly as listed – the home was clean, spacious, beautifully maintained, and fully stocked with every amenity we could need. It truly felt like a home away from home.What made the experience exceptional, though, was the property owner, Marcie. From start to finish, she was incredibly responsive and supportive—always available to guide us through the check-in and check-out process and answer any questions we had.We did encounter a brief power outage due to inclement weather one day, but Marcie was supportive and helped us navigate the situation, providing reassurance, and practical tips. Her care and attention made all the difference .Highly recommend this property for anyone visiting Nantucket—we’d gladly stay again!

Great stay

Fantastic house with awesome owner

This home is the perfect Nantucket getaway, with a beautiful yard and plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. Marcie was a fantastic host and she communicated and provided everything we needed. Highly recommend staying at this beautiful property!

Beautiful stay on Nantucket!

I stayed here for a long weekend with a group of 8 ladies and had a wonderful experience! The house was lovely, private, and clean and provided plenty of room for all of us to spread out and enjoy. We did not rent or bring a vehicle for our stay and had no problem quickly getting Ubers to and from the house! I would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future!

Wonderful stay!

My family enjoyed a wonderful stay at this beautiful, family friendly home in Nantucket. The location is just far enough outside of the "hustle" of downtown Nantucket, literally steps away from peaceful Tom Nevers beach and a quick drive to quaint Sconset. The property manager's attention to detail was second to none. The home was very clean, bright, open and comfortable. I'd highly recommend Canopache for anyone looking for a relaxing retreat for friends and family.

Our 3rd Year at Canopache! Making wonderful memories of our time on Nantucket!

Canopache is a wonderful property! It has everything a family could ask for! We especially enjoy the views of the ocean from the deck, the large yard and being able to walk to Tom Nevers beach, which is quiet and never crowded. And the sunrises and sunsets are absolutely wonderful!

Amazing Week at Canopache

This was our second time renting at Canopache, and it did not disappoint. When we arrived, the house was terrific, well-maintained, and clean. We love the house layout, which allows for great airflow from the ocean, which kept us cool during the night. The kids loved the grounds and the outdoor shower! We love it, will definitely recommend it, and will be back again!

‘Our’ Nantucket House!

We just returned from 2 weeks at ‘our’ house and it was amazing as always. The house is perfect for our multigenerational family. Peace and quiet

Amazing weekend at Canopache

Amazing home and host all around! From the onset, Marcie was welcoming and incredibly accommodative as we worked to schedule a surprise stay for our Mother’s 60th birthday party. She was a tremendous host and ensured a comfortable and unforgettable weekend. The home itself was perfect for a large family gathering in close proximity to the Tom Nevers park. ‘Our’ Nantucket House

Perfect match

The “Canopache” home was perfect for our stay. Great location not far from the shore on the southern end of the island, in an area that feels charmingly rugged and off the beaten path. The house itself is perfectly suited for a family or group of friends, with a large common area for the kitchen, dining and movie watching and plenty of cozy bedrooms. The owner was extremely pleasant and accommodating. Excellent all-around!

Dream House

This home is so welcoming, comfortable, and immaculate. It had everything we needed and more, from the beautiful welcome basket, to the expansive views, every detail was perfect. Our lovely host made sure we were comfortable, and was so easy to work with. We took our adult children to celebrate their college graduations, and all ten of us felt well accommodated. This was a truly memorable stay. Thank you for having us, we will be back!

Beautiful peaceful everything you need home!

Perfect home with beautiful sunrises through the master window and perfect sunsets from the upper deck! Marcie has made certain this home is equipped for any occasion. From the welcoming emails the day before to the day after and all preparation in between the owner kept us informed and made us feel taken care of and welcome. The beautiful quiet Tom Nevers beach is a 10 minute easy walk with seals playing in the surf. The yard is perfect for dogs and kids and the outdoor shower amazing! We hope to make this our home away from home!

Fantastic Home on Nantucket!

An absolutely great home for your stay on Nantucket! The property is spacious and we had a very fun wiffle ball game on the lawn. Love the upstairs layout and second floor deck. Outside shower was the favorite of all our guests! We highly recommend having a vehicle if you rent the house. There is a shuttle stop at the end of Tom Nevers Road but it is 2 miles away. Also you will need to make your vehicle reservation for the ferry as soon as it becomes available to do so. Best sunsets on the island right from the deck! Great family vacation which we would love to do again!

Four nights in early May

My husband, daughter, son in law and I had a beautiful four nights at Canopache. It is a tastefully decorated and very well stocked house. Three of the family were working on projects for part of the time and the internet was great. The living area and kitchen are on the second floor which gives a wonderful light to this area, even on a rainy day. There were many places to sit and enjoy the view. The view was wonderful and one could look out over the island to the ocean. We could hear the ocean and in the morning there was glorious birdsong. It is also very private which would be a great relief in the busy summer months. All in all , would love to go back. Lots of beds and lots of space . I highly recommend this house It's a wonderful house. Thank you Frances
