October wedding

Very clean and well appointed. All facilities excellent. Comfortable. More geared to family holidays than a short country break,but ideal as a base for a big family wedding

Lovely stay in the East Chalet

Nice and clean and a good location. Had no issues checking in or finding parking, and the facilities both in the chalet and on the farm were great!

Great stay

Loved the organisation of the check in, leading up to the trip and also during. Effortless and easy, great place for friends or family and super helpful with all requests and questions. Didn't manage to use all the facilities but would come back to!

What a view

This was my first time at Tapnell Farm and I loved it. The morning views are amazing. The whole area is really well designed to allow a real sense of space everywhere. We booked into the Slomo sauna/lake/ice bath experience and it was excellent. Organisation from start to finish was clear, easy and friendly

Half term stay

We loved our stay for half term, despite the weather, we really enjoyed the farm, all the activities and eating at The Cow onsite. So accessible with free and easy parking; it's what we love about staying at Tapnell Farm as the facilities are second to none. The chalet was clean and comfortable, had everything we needed BUT a bit tired in places and really needs a new lick of paint to brighten it up.

Simple chalet in great location

We had a lovely stay at East Chalet. It’s large enough for a family of five or six, and has most amenities you’d need on a short break. All the beds are singles unless you remember to specify otherwise, and they’re small singles - great for kids but on the small side for adults. There are blinds in all the rooms but they leak a lot of light and fall down as they’re balanced on the rails. This would be an easy repair job. We were so impressed by the staff at the farm itself - friendly, helpful and loads of info. But the accommodation staff weren’t incredibly helpful. A few repairs were needed to be done while we were there on things that were broken when we arrived (things are a bit tired in the chalet), but we were told these repairs were our fault. The arrival booklet asks guests to request extras of bin bags if you run out - we did this and were told as it’s self catering it’s not provided but on this occasion they’d let us off. These are small things, but when you’re paying a fair amount of money it’s a tad disappointing. Never usually leave feedback, but thought some small tweaks could make all the difference to the next guest. Things like a toilet-roll holder, more pegs for towels for larger things party sizes and some better cooking equipment (eg a colander, a mixing bowl etc) would make a huge difference too.

Good but could be better

Tapnell farm is brilliant especially for families, and the cow restaurant is excellent. In terms of location, you couldn’t get much better. East Chalet itself is fine - I’ve stayed in better places, but also stayed in worse. As others have said, the lodge is very tired in places, and the rooms are deceptively small. Also a shame that some of the basics you’d expect when staying away weren’t provided. Beds are all small singles - 3 of the 6 mattresses were comfortable enough, the other 3 not so much

Perfect, as always

Perfect location to explore the island from. Tapnell Farm has so much to offer, I can't wait to be back again soon. Love this place
