Deze prachtige romantische huisje ligt hoog op 318 'van de directe water gevel met uitzicht op Frenchman's Bay. Het heeft 3 slaapkamers, een woonkamer (2 48 "flatscreen-tv) met nieuwe L / P-open haard, een eethoek, een nieuwe keuken, 2 volledige badkamers en een suite / zitkamer op de benedenverdieping met open haard. De woning is voorzien van nieuwe vloerbedekking in de slaapkamers en mooie brede planken vloeren. Het is volledig gemeubileerd en applianced, met wasmachine droger in de kelder, en een nieuwe wrap-around dek met deuren uit de slaapkamer en de woonkamer. Het is warm en boeiend. Het is rustig en vredig, een romantische huwelijksreis uitje, alleen de plek voor zonsondergang wandelingen op het privé-strand. Er kon verse kreeft aan de deur geleverd door lokale visser, dagtochten naar Bar Harbor, Machias, Bangor en Belfast, kajak tours van privéstrand, kabel-tv, wi-fi internet, een geweldige plek voor fotografie, oceanografen en natuurkenners - zie zeehonden, zeevogels en arenden. Check-in is 15:00 zaterdag en check out is 10:30 zaterdag.

** Er is een $ 250. 00 borg voor een huisdier, vraag voor het huisdier beleid. Deze borg dient bij aankomst en zal 3-4 dagen na vertrek worden teruggegeven, geen schade te verzekeren. Beleid is heel gemakkelijk en attent! Geen honden zonder huisdierdepot (booth regel).

Peaceful feeling by Frenchman Bay

The house was clean and comfortable. The views were beautiful and sitting on the porch watching the seals and birds were very relaxing. Overall, great place to stay.

Fabulous Rental

We absolutely loved this home. It was spacious - even bigger than it appears in the photos. The landlord was extremely responsive and helpful. The location is amazing - with several outdoor seating areas. It is so close to the ocean you feel you are aboard a boat when it is high tide. You can walk onto the beach from the house, through the yard, in about 30 seconds. Highly. recommend!

Amazing Property

My husband and I have always wanted to enjoy Maine in the fall. We couldn’t have been happier with the property and its location. It was perfect for the two of us and the view from the deck was gorgeous!! We would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Judy was a wonderful hostess as well.

The deck has the most gorgeous view of bay. Got to see some wildlife right from the deck. It in a great location not too far from a national park. I got to say it’s one of the best places I’ve stayed in the last three years I’ve been renting.

Breathtaking getaway

Good Times in Maine

The property was as advertised - a beautiful place on the bay near Acadia National Park. The views were amazing, and sitting on the deck overlooking it all was fabulous. We made good use of the kitchen and laundry facilities while we were there, and the beds were comfortable. Judy was very communicative and easy to work with. We would stay here again!

Best cottage

We absolutely loved the cottage. It was in a great location and easy to get to Bar Harbor and Schoodic Point! The wrap around deck was fantastic and we saw so much wildlife right there at the cottage every day. The eagles and the harbor seals were some of our favorites! Judy had flowers in every room which just added to the charm. She was a gem!

Quiet retreat

This is a lovely cottage with spectacular views! The house is older and some furnishings are dated but comfortable with truly beautiful views. The night sky was thrilling; it's been a while since I saw the milky way with such clarity!

Beautiful location

Hancock cottage was quiet, serene, and lovely. It is a special place to truly unwind. The water views are breathtaking. We loved watching the birds and the sparkly water and the seal that visits at high tide. The beds are very comfortable and kitchen is adequately stocked. The home is actually quite spacious and open and very bright. We plan on booking next year !

Cottage on the water in Hancock

While Hancock is a drive to Bar Harbor, the cottage had an amazing view of the water (and night sky/stars) and all supplies necessary to enjoy our stay. The owner, Judy, recommended a lobsterman that brought fresh lobsters right to our door for a very reasonable price. We hiked, biked and kayaked for a fun, outdoor vacation…and even took in a beautiful sunrise from the deck of the cottage.

A Grand Estuary

This lovely cottage was the perfect location for a pair of old romantics interested in the natural world. The secluded estuary was teeming with life from the roses surrounding the cottage to beautiful fresh bouquets inside. We were entertained daily by a pair of eagles flying within 6 feet of the deck, a few seals at low tide, and schools of Menhaden dancing atop the water. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to return in the Springtime.

Perfect location for relaxation

Location was private but with easy access to multiple points of interest. The deck was perfect for sitting and rocking on the rocking chairs enjoying the beautiful view including gorgeous sunrises. The house was designed so three couples could easily stay together. The maintenance person, Rob, was excellent and responded quickly to our minor requests. The owner went out of her way to make sure we were satisfied with our stay. Highly recommended.

Nice launching point away from the hustle and bustle

We very much enjoyed our time at Judy’s cottage! It had everything we needed and was a great launching point to activities in the area, but away from the hustle and bustle. We enjoyed kayaking from the beach, getting lobsters from Babe the lobsterman, visiting Schoodic, Acadia, and Bar Harbor, and lunch on the dock in Corea. It takes only ~30 minutes to kayak from the beach to Bean island, a cute uninhabited island. We enjoyed dinners at the Pickle Wrinkle (which was a little far) and at Ironbound (which was really close), and were able to cook the rest of the evenings and enjoy the view from the deck.

Beautiful, serene setting

This is a quiet location about an hour to bar harbor and Acadia. This home has a lovely deck and fire pit area overlooking a great bay view. That is what you are paying for. The home is roomy and simple. You would not describe it as luxurious or upscale. Stay at a b & b if you are looking for that type of accommodation. Stay here if you are looking for a quiet retreat with a dreamy view.

Beautiful location

We enjoyed staying at the cottage. The location was tough to beat. We watched seals play from the porch, osprey snatching fish from the water, and eagles soaring above the surf. The kitchen was well stocked. We had all we needed for cooking and cleaning. Our host was responsive to our needs when supplies needed to be replenished. Our host was attentive and lovely. The cottage is cute, but it needed some deeper cleaning. We may have been the first guests in awhile, for the place needed some airing out. It had a strong odor and there was evidence of mice, especially in the basement bathroom. This may be an uncomfortable place to stay for people with intense allergies. That said, it met our needs and we enjoyed our stay.

A Slice of Paradise

We just had an amazing week at Judy's property. I can't say enough about the exceptional location of her cottage. Serene, peaceful, a slice of heaven. Sunrises that we experienced from the deck overlooking Frenchman's Bay were simply spectacular and rival those seen in Acadia! A bald eagle has a home at the top of one of the highest pine trees not too far from the cottage and he treat us on occasion to a fly-by. We even saw seals in the water directly in front of the cottage Judy was very responsive to our every request and was an excellent host. The property had everything we needed for a fabulous vacation!

Absolutely Gorgeous and Memorable Experience

My wife and I stayed here for our first stay in Maine. The property is within 45 minutes of so many hikes and things to do that aren't even inside Acadia National Park. The highlight was Judy's friend Bob. We called him up and he was able to hand deliver a couple of Lobsters that he had caught that morning in the dense fog for us to cook up that night. The cottage is old and you can tell but it just adds to the charm of the coastal Maine experience. Judy was great at communicating and making sure we knew that if we needed anything she would be available to fix it. I don't think we could have enjoyed our stay more unless the weather had been a little clearer but can't control that!
