Great little spot, feels like a hideaway, but still has convenience to grocery and shopping, as well as hiking trails and cool places to adventure.

Amazing site with great hospitality and communication. Only thing for me is that the bed is EXTRA firm. Just a preference for me to have a softer bed. Otherwise the trip was great!

The mattress is a new medium firmness, not extra firm, memory foam mattress that replaced an old bag of springs. It might be a little stiff as it’s new. Wow, I work hard to get you checked in early, answer all your questions, and get dinged on a new expensive mattress. I guess you can’t make everyone happy. I don’t think we deserved this rating, but it’s what it is I suppose.

Significant uphill trek with your car to the cabin but totally doable in my small front wheel drive SVU. Beautiful view, hot shower, comfortable bed, good location between Franklin and Highlands and beautiful nature spots. Oh, and did I mention the view? Wow.

Thanks for the review. Since we paved the driveway about a year and a half ago, even a small FWD car can get up it, though it's a little steep. Glad you had a great time. Yes, the view is absolutely lovely!

Host was great! Be aware there is no cell service once you get up here, until you connect to the wifi. Wifi is great, but screenshot your directions to get in and unlock the door or you'll be like us taking an impromptu hike to get service to call our host to get the info lol and he was just so lovely about it too!!! The cabin has everything you need and then some!! Incredible view from the deck!!!! Close enough to civilization to get what you need but far enough away to feel like you're the last person (or couple) in the world!!!

Yep, good idea! At least take a screenshot or write down the PIN code for the door. We have a cellular repeater at the cabin that works well with AT&T, OK with Verizon. But for most high-frequency cell services like T-Mobile and Sprint, there has to be signal to repeat, and there's not much, if any to repeat. Glad you had a great time!

We absolutely loved this cabin! It was clean, comfortable and well stocked with kitchen essentials. The cabin is close to amazing hiking and waterfalls. We can’t wait to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at this cabin! The view was breathtaking, and the whole space had such a clean, cozy, home-away-from-home feel. It was the perfect balance—secluded enough to feel peaceful and private, yet close enough to everything we wanted to explore. It truly made our getaway special, and we’re already looking forward to coming back!

Perfect getaway

We loved everything about this cabin - great location and cozy space, and the host was very helpful and responsive. We especially loved the bear themed decor.

Cedar bear is a beautiful little cabin.. perfect for the 2 of us! i cooked a steak on the gas grill, as i drank a beer and stared at the mountains! great little neighborhood with privacy and views! we'll be back!

Mountain Getaway

Perfect location for a couple wanting to be isolated from most of the world. Great place to stay in and read, or to drive a few miles to hike, shop, or eat. We hope to have the opportunity to return several times.

A fabulous getaway place for two

Beautiful cabin to unwind and relax. Way up in the woods with a lovely view from the doors and deck. All the essentials and amenities you need. Great central location for day trips to surrounding mountain towns. Highly recommend!

Anniversary trip

Cabin was very clean, and so peaceful. Cabin has everything you need and a wonderful view. No internet service or WiFi, but That was fine for us it was nice to get away from everything. The owner was super nice and helpful with places to visit. Only a few minutes from town and short ride to beautiful waterfalls. This was one of my favorite places we have stayed.

Peaceful and Relaxing

This property is just the right distance from congestion to be peaceful and quiet, and yet not inconvenient. The entire location is very well kept and clean. There are numerous modern conveniences. And the manager is easy to communicate with. Overall, a great place to stay.
