Come and relax at Tres Casas on beautiful Lake LBJ waterfront! Enjoy the three lovely casita and sunset views from the dock.

Enjoy a relaxing and fun getaway with this unique gem on Lake LBJ. This unique property is spread over almost one acre allowing plenty of room for kids to run and play. As the name implies, there are three casitas on the property.

Casita #1 has two bedrooms and two full baths, along with a quaint patio to enjoy the view of the beautiful property and lake. It includes a large kitchen area perfect for cooking, along with a large dining room table that can seat up to eight people. The kitchen opens up to a very comfortable living room, containing a large sectional and loungers (perfect for your afternoon naps). The home is outfitted with DirectTv as well.

Casita #2 is open, inviting and houses a king bed, along with a daybed and trundle. This bungalow also has a kitchenette with a full-size refrigerator, stove, oven and microwave. There is also a full bathroom with a luxurious walk-in shower.

Casita #3 is backs up to the lake. This space includes a king size bed, a roll away twin bed, along with a full bath. It is cute and comfortable and close to all the fun.

This property has a beautiful sprawling yard with large trees as well as a fire pit to cozy up next to on those cool, fall nights. This is perfect for smores, storytelling, or just to have a nice evening cocktail.

Tres Casas is right next to the Nightengale Archeological center, which is open for tours on the second and fourth weekends of each month, and worth doing some research on if you are coming to visit. It contains some amazing history about the people that lived in the Highland Lakes area well before modern man.

Tres Casas has so much to offer, and we are just getting down to the lakefront! This area includes a gazebo with table and chairs for lakeside relaxing. The lower part of the double decker boat dock allows plenty of seating, a bar area, a gas grill and sink. The lower level is a great place to hide out from the mid-day sun and enjoy the sounds of the lake. It is equipped with fans to keep the breeze moving on those hot Texas summer days. The large upper deck offers plenty of seating as well. It is a great spot for sunbathing during the day and spectacular Hill Country sunsets in the evenings.

One boat lift is also available if you are hauling your toy to the lake with you this year.

Mixed Emotions

Second year we have stayed here and this year was sub-par. Main house kitchen pots/pans/cooking items need to be replaced or deep cleaned. The fridge was not able to go below 44, should be at 37. Can’t properly keep food at the higher temp. Dryer did not work (wet towels left in washer for 1 week). Window sills were full of dead bugs and cobwebs. Walls were filthy - lots of visible dirt/dust build up. The grill was filthy and we were left with no propane (was replaced when I texted). Primary bedroom mattress has seen better days. Was very uncomfortable. The table on the upper deck needs replacing - broken edges and some of us got cuts and scrapes. We appreciate that the boat lift was fixed - last year it broke and damaged our jet skis. It’s a fun and cool property but needs some TLC.

Lake House Review

We recently booked the Tres Casas for a weekend trip with friends. Prior to the stay, I reached out to the property manager Ryan Engler to confirm that they had a working grill on the property. Ryan confirmed this was the case. I ended up purchasing $300 worth of steaks and food to grill for our group only to find out that the grill was not in working order. I reached out to Ryan and he said a partial refund would be issued due to this issue. No refund has been issued. I have followed back up with Ryan multiple times and he has not responded. Very poor communication with property management.

Lake Vacay

We had a fantastic time! 2 18 year olds, 4 21 year olds and Dad and Mom! Food, drinks, sea-doos and floating for 3 1/2 days was perfect. Excellent communication. Accommodations were awesome - we had separate spaces for the guys, girls and parents. Hanging out on the boat dock at night was fun. This may be a yearly trip!

Great Place

We love the place. It fits our family very well and offers everything we need. We plan to come back every summer. One thing I would suggest is a larger capacity boat lift but everything was great.

Stairway to the water

This place was absolutely amazing! The setup was perfect for all our families to be together, but also have their own space. It was hot, so gathering in Casa #1 for meals was great with plenty of space for all 11 of us. Everything was clean, nice decorated and in working order. We forgot our tub of beach towels and were thankful there were some there to use. We fished, tubed and kayaked, although kayaking was only good in the early mornings due to so many boats causing waves. However, the waves were fun and relaxing while on the tubes (which we tied off the dock). The highlight of our stay was that our DIL asked to be baptized right off the steps into the water! Such a surprise and memorable blessing for us. Ryan and his team were very helpful with whatever we needed - before the trip and after! I would definitely recommend this place to family and friends and would love to have a repeat vacation there!
