"Air" is a charming cottage located on the Bald Head Marina & the perfect home on Bald Head Island for a couples getaway, nomad traveler, or businessperson looking to enjoy the WFH lifestyle from a beach chair. Hi-speed Internet makes it easy to stay connected while taking in the views of the ocean and marina, or get out and enjoy nature.

The island is a photographer and/or nature lovers dream! Enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises on the pristine beaches of Bald Head Island. The dark skies offer views of the Milky Way Galaxy you can enjoy without a telescope. -or- Enjoy a quiet stroll thru miles of undeveloped beaches and preserved natural forests, lovingly maintained by the BHI Converancy programs to keep the island wild and wonderful. You can often spot deer, fox, and even turtles - especially in hatching season (Bald Head Island is famous for its Sea Turtle conservancy program).

"Air" Cottage is very conveniently situated on the water in the Marina, minute walks from shops and restaurants, Old Baldy lighthouse, and across the street from a great spot to rent bikes, paddleboards, etc.
And of course, being at the marina, you get to watch the boats come in.
It's a 5 minute walk to the shore, and there's lots of shell-seeking opportunities to be had on all of the beaches that surround the island.
10 min cart ride to excellent grocery store, and more shops, restaurants, etc.

Once arrived onto Bald Head Island, "Air" is a short walk around the marina, or a slightly longer swim (please don't!). We are located across from The Inn at Bald Head Island.

Bikes are available to rent. Personal bikes can also be brought on the island thru ticket purchase with the ferry terminal.

Tram service can also be arranged at the dock for drop off, The "Air" address is 80 Keelson Row

The cottage was perfect! Had everything we needed. There were even beach chairs, an umbrella and shibumi sun shade. Golf cart worked great for getting around! Wished we could have stayed longer!

Perfect location

First time on Bald Head Island and Air was prime location. Owner was responsive and immediately took care of any issues. Will definitely be back!

Awesome Experience!

This place always felt like home! Everything listed and shown is true and up to pare! but You will love this place and the island as well! The walk to the boat is also close as well! awesome view, would definitely come back again!

The place is perfect for an individual or a couple. Overlooks the Marina and close to everything you'd want to see (lighhouse, restaurants, market, beaches, etc). Bald Head is a beautiful spot and in the off-season it's a great place to get away.

Adorable cottage

The location was perfect, with easy access to all the activities and amenities nearby. The cottage itself was cozy and comfortable, providing a lovely home away from home. Being close to the beach and surrounded by stunning wildlife while exploring on the golf cart made for an unforgettable experience. Overall, it was a fantastic place to stay and I would highly recommend it to others.

Beautiful Cottage

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage was a perfect long weekend get-away for my husband and myself. The check in process was simple. The place was very nice. The golf cart and the rain covers made it really nice for the cool breeze.

Relaxing Getaway

We stayed at "Air" for two nights during the holiday season as a quick relaxing getaway. The location was perfect - close to the ferry and to Jules restaurant. Many eateries were closed for the season, but there were enough places open for our short stay. The island was quiet and the beach was nearly deserted, which was exactly what we hoped. "Air" was clean and comfy - had a small kitchenette with a coffee maker, toaster, fridge to be able to eat a quick bite in the morning before heading out. The space is small but very well-used and laid out. We will definitely be back to Bald Head for a longer stay! Air was a great choice for our needs.

Lovely location

The size and location was as expected. Just right for 2 people who don’t want to cook dinners. A little disappointing as we got there and wanted to open a bottle of wine and there wasn’t a wine opener. Some of the lights needed new light bulbs and the towels/bath mat could use refreshing. Literally there wasn’t light in the bathroom. Loved the view over looking the harbor and being downtown. I will say the golf cart was the bomb and had great zip. Enjoyed the stay overall.

Perfect Spot!

We have vacationed on BHI for 20+ years and this was a perfect spot! We had thoughts the marina may be "too noisy", but we found it just as peaceful as other locations on the island. The space was clean and fresh. The bed was comfortable. We were pleasantly surprised by what was provided. We actually walked in and thought someone was still staying there - there were 2 beach chairs and a Shibumi Shade in the foyer that are provided with the house. The kitchenette was nicely stocked. If you are like us and like to keep the sand off the floor, there is even a small vacuum under the bed and a broom in the foyer! The golf cart is well maintained. The only thing I would do differently is have the TV (which we never used) not block the marina view windows. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Mini moon

My husband and I just got married in the beginning of June! We are moving and starting new jobs but still wanted to get away for a little. BHI and the Air cottage were perfect for our “mini” honeymoon! It is located right by the marina- we walked right over from the ferry even though I’m sure a tram will drop you off, we didn’t need too, it’s that close! We walked to lunch at Jules and to Old Baldy! Truly the perfect location. We were close to everything. They even had a shibumi and beach chair for us! The golf cart was also amazing and ran perfectly. We can’t thank you enough! The cottage itself was the perfect size and so quaint. We highly recommend!

Definitely recommend for a trip to Bald Head

We really enjoyed our stay here! Close to the ferry and central to most of the main food options on the island. The fact the golf cart is included too is a great touch and makes getting around very easy. Highly recommend!
