This place was such a great location! Just one block (very short straight walk down one small road) to the beach and an incredible ocean side restaurant. So kid friendly! Everyone around us was so nice and the house was great.

Great Home Base Near Coco Beach

We ended our 12 day Costa Rica Tour. Terrific location, great property managers, well stocked kitchen, towels. Nice pool. We really enjoyed the snorkeling, rock climbing and sun sets on the beach- Father Rooster's is a great place for food or drinks.

wonderful costa rica eperience

Traveled with one other couple and location was quiet, secure, and easily accessible with our golf cart to Play del Coco. The pool was wonderful and met alot of nice folks!

Great location and accommodations

Terrific, quiet location and great staff on sight. The home was perfect and more than we expected. Large bedrooms and bathrooms, with a great kitchen and living space. We enjoyed the quick and easy walk to the beach in the mornings and then relaxed by the pool in the late afternoon. Relaxation came easy! Pura Vida!

Another great trip to a fabulous location. This home is in a quiet location just steps from a great beach, Playa Ocotal. The home has everything we needed to make this trip memorable and Lisa/Cheryl were fabulous to work with in planning our tours and answering all our questions. Definitely consider this home in your plans to visit Costa Rica!

Tranquility near the beach

We loved our stay at Vista Ocotal - the only complaint is we could not stay longer. There was nothing we did not love about our stay here. It is close to town, ammenities and attractions (we had a car). The property indoors and outdoors was perfect for our family and we always felt safe. Father Rooster (nearby restaurant) was delicious with a beautiful beach front location. Holly was most helpful from the planning at the beginning to the end of our stay. Without a doubt we would both recommend this location and stay here again.

Great house, great location!

Stayed with my family and my daughters friend. Had a 3 bedroom, 3 bath. House was very clean, really well stocked with pots, pans, dishes etc and even some condiments. We all truly enjoyed the house, the location, the pool and even barbecued one night. The beach is a short walk down the street. Ate at Father rooster quite a bit when we weren’t cooking at the house. All in all had a wonderful time and would def visit again and hope to stay at the same location.

Great location and very responsive & helpful!

We enjoyed this property very much and its easy location to the beach, the resort club, Father Roosters as well as short drive into town to get groceries, shop or try local food. Sebastian was so responsive and helpful when we had questions. We greatly appreciated the assistance in setting up our rental car, the private boat tour (HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS - for all ages!) and surfing lessons in Tamarindo. We had found the house VERY well stocked and clean. Our kids are 17, 15 and 9 and there was something for everyone! We saw monkeys playing in the trees on the property and tons of different birds too. Thanks Sebas and crew!

Perfect vacation

We stayed at Vista Ocotal for 9 nights over Christmas and New Years. From the moment we booked our holiday, we felt welcomed by Pam, who greeted us with emails and information about the property. Leading up to our trip, Pam was happy to answer all of our questions and put us in contact with Sebastián, the property manager. When we arrived, Sebastian greeted us at the property and gave us a quick overview of the property. During our stay, Sebastian was happy to help us book transportation into Coco or to Diamante Eco Adventure Park. When we had a problem with the air conditioning, he promptly arrived at the property with a technician to fix it. When it still wasn’t working, he returned to the property and fixed it immediately with a quick flick of the breaker switch. This truly says a lot about the quality of care as he could have easily instructed us to do this over messaging. Our stay at Vista Ocotal was amazing. The villa is so well equipped! Each day we discovered something new in the villa. The beach chairs are super comfortable. One of the four chairs is missing a screw at the back, it is still comfortable to sit in, but you have to be careful twisting in it. We hope these chairs, or similar ones are there next year as they were so great for the beach! Ocotal is a fantastic area. The beach is perfect for walking and the rocky outcroppings at either end are fun to explore. We loved seeing the eagle rays swimming, watching the howler monkeys move along the beach trees, and were even fortunate enough to see a sea turtle one morning. Each morning we loved being woken by the howler monkeys communicating with each other, the birds chirping, and the beautiful sun shining. Sitting on the patio to enjoy coffee and breakfast while listening to the natural sounds was always enjoyable. We spent most of our time on the beach; however, the pool area was lovely for the late afternoons. We didn’t visit the Coco beach club this trip, as we loved our area; however, we may go on a future trip. When visiting Vista Ocotal, don’t forget to go to Father Rooster. We loved the food and the amazing staff! Oh, and definitely enjoy a Tica Linda to drink!! We also loved Diamante Eco Adventure park and highly recommend a day there! We absolutely loved our vacation in Costa Rica and can’t wait to return to Vista Ocotal next year! Thank you for everything.

Very clean and better than expected!

Very clean and well-maintained high-quality house. The beach is a three minute walk. The beach is one of the best that we went to and has small waves, and actually the best snorkelling out of four different ones. The one pool is only 20 m from the back door and then there’s another pool two blocks away and the third pool which is the club with tennis courts is a five or 10 minute drive away.

Perfect location In Ocotal

This was a great condo in a great location. Well equipped for our family. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen, beach chairs and plenty of room for our family of 6. The a/c worked well and the property itself was well kept, the pool was clean and it is just a short 2 minute walk to the beach.

Lovely vacation rental

We really enjoyed our stay at Seaside Serenity. Location was close to the beach and Father Roosters restaurant. We snorkelled at the beach. Gated development with a nice pool. Staff very friendly as well as their sweet pups. Villa is fully stocked including toilet paper and soaps etc. So nice to have that ready for us when we arrived. Beach towels, chairs, and everything you will need is here. Pam and Sebastian were great to deal with and Sebastian even set up a wonderful fishing trip for us. The only improvement that I would suggest would be a propane bbq at the villa or at the pool. The one at the pool is a charcoal one. We did see some villas that had propane bbqs. Hoping to visit again one day!

Home away from home

Our stay at seaside serenity was fantastic. Pamela, the property manager, was very personable and kept in contact once in a while to make sure everything was to our liking. Due to bad weather we were 2 days late getting to the Villa. A day after our arrival I received a note from Pamela letting us know that we were being reimbursed for the 2 days missed. Very impressive! In Costa Rica Sebastian was a phone call away if we had any questions. The Villa was lovely, spacious, had everything you could need and more, and was very close to the ocean and Father Rooster’s restaurant. Our whole group truly enjoyed our stay here. It really is a home away from home.

One month of pure bliss!

My husband and I rented a house for the month of January and couldn’t have been happier! The house was spacious,well stocked and close to everything we needed. Our host was very attentive to our needs by texting me every week to see if we needed anything and even suggested good restaurants we might want to try. One block away is Father Roosters restaurant which sits on the Ocotal Beach (you can actually see the beach while sitting in the rocking chairs on the second floor balcony). My husband went on three fishing expeditions with Guillermo Guillen who owns a business on the beach and caught fish that we cooked up at our house. The kitchen is very well stocked and there is also a grill in the kitchen by the pool that we used a few times. Beach towels are provided and the pool has plenty of chairs for all of their guests. A brand new washer and dryer are in a closet off the kitchen as well as a new security system that we set on the days that we went exploring other areas in Costa Rica. We loved it here and will definitely come back someday!

Excellent Costa Rica Location

This home was beautiful inside and out. The beach was 200 steps away and amazing. The pool was 30 steps from our door, and was beautiful. We had howler monkeys on our rooftop. The home had everything needed for a wonderful stay and the property managers were easily accessible and helpful. The only thing I might suggest is the addition of a bar-b-q. CHEERS. Hope to return again another day

Hi Kathleen, Thank you for taking the time for a written review. I am very partial to Vista Ocotal and our comfortable villa and surroundings. I love the Howler Monkeys and the next time you visit you just might see a whole family of them parading together on the fence or even down the sidewalk! It's the nature of the surroundings that gives us peace and tranquility. Hope you got a chance to use your free membership at the Coco Bay tennis club & gym and the Greek Restaurant (Santorini), one of my favorites! Next time, take the time and visit Lake Arenal and the Rain Forest. It's breathtaking and the large Parrots are just waiting for your visit. Excellent location; Beautiful villa

Seaside Serenity #7 is the best of the best. It is 30 steps to the pool, and 200 steps to the beautiful black sand beach. The Villa is completely functional, has everything you will need. Easily accommodated our 6 adults. The property managers were available at a moments notice for anything we needed. If I return to Costa Rica, this would be my go to place.

Very nice property

Location very close to a beautiful beach. Recommend you rent a car to get around.
