Volledig gerenoveerd huis gelegen aan de prachtige baai van Beirteach Buí, een mooi huisje om te ontspannen in comfort en rust met uitzicht op de baai, toegang tot vissen (visreizen kunnen worden georganiseerd door de eigenaar) Talrijke stranden om te verkennen in de omgeving en vele routes om te wandelen of fietsen en bergen om te beklimmen. Uitstekend lokaal visrestaurant. Traditioneel muziek- en bootfestival tijdens de zomermaanden.

Excellent !

John and his wife are absolutely charming people, the house is very large, clean and very functional. The location is ideal for a quiet stay and a visit to Connemara. The sunset over the water in the evening is splendid.

Stunning location

The location is unbeatable, the views of both the sea and mountains can’t be emphasised enough. We had great weather and were able to sit out each day and just enjoy the view and the peace and quiet. The hosts were so friendly and knowledgeable and told us lots of interesting information.

Lovely home in the country

Our host greeted us upon arrival and did a thorough walk through with us to show us around and how to operate everything. The home heats with wood stoves and a boiler so she helped get everything started and warmed up. The bedrooms suited us perfectly - we had 4 adults and 5 kids age 10-15 and the set up worked great. The home is very private but easy to find.

A perfect place to stay

The home was just as described and the owners are absolutely delightful and helpful. The location is beautiful with easy access to so many points of interest. I can’t recommend this home enough. Our only complaint was not being able to stay longer.

Cozy house in Connemara with stunning views

We stayed in this nice house 6 nights. We were 8 adults and two kids under two years. We felt so welcome and it was like being home. The house is so cozy and well prepared! Especially the kids liked the music toys. The owner had everything beautifully decorated for my mom’s 60 th birthday. Thank you so much! Hope we can come again! Greetings Katharina

Peace and quiet with comfort.

I have been renting cottages in Ireland for 20 years - this was easily the best. It was warm, spacious, well-equipped, quiet and extremely comfortable. Booking it, finding it and communicating with the owners was straightforward and simple, and the area in which it is located is ideal for a restful holiday with plenty to do near at hand.

Great location

The house is well situated for exploring the area. You've got the mountains of Connemara, the attractive coastline with many beaches, the Aran Islands off the coast reachable by ferry, the city of Galway, and further afield many other places to visit. The hosts are very helpful and provide everything that's needed in the house. All one needs is fine weather which we mostly had. Highly recommended.

Breathe taking views

Photographs do not do the views from this property any justice, they were stunning. We were incredibly lucky with the weather which no doubt helped. The house has everything you might need for a 2 week stay and the kitchen was well equipped. The nearest restaurant was a brisk 15 minute walk which was perfect. Our only issue was that a couple of the mattresses were not as comfortable as we would have liked but it didn't hamper our stay and would not stop me from recommending this house for a family get-a-way for anyone else. The owners made us feel very welcome.

Beautiful Home, Wonderful Location & Excellent Hosts

The house is gorgeous and the location is idyllic. Everything you could possibly need was supplied and the house was spotless. John & Mairead are wonderful hosts and went over and beyond for us. We were welcomed when we arrived with a turf fire. They even drove to Galway to return a phone that was left behind. The beaches nearby are stunning. The home is an easy drive to so many of Connemara's attractions. Can highly recommend and looking forward to a return visit.

Highly Recommended for families or smaller groups

I had a wonderful stay in this cottage. The cottage has all you need like home from home. It is located just a few metres from the sea with the Connemara mountains in the distance. Its idea for exploring the rugged coast, the mountains, the fjord and lochs. With many walks to enjoy. There is a nearby pub that serves great food. John and Mairead are super hosts.John keeps a distant but watchful eye and would be there to help should the need arise. I would recommend for families or smaller group. I spent a month there and was sad to leave. Thank you John it was a pleasure to have met you and to stay at your wonderful cottage.

All we need

In order to my 60. Birthday i asked my children if they want to make holiday with me on ireland. So we started last year to search a house for 5 adults and three childs up to 13 years. We saw pictures from this cottage and we booked it. For three families the house was perfect, the bathrooms are great, enough dishes, garden, water The owner and his wife came to ask if all it good, we talked a while and he told us the history of the cottage. We had the absolute pleasure of staying at the Glinsk Bay Holiday Rental in Connemara, Galway, and "perfect" doesn't even begin to describe it! The location is stunningly serene, with breathtaking views across the bay and the mountains as a picturesque backdrop. Every morning, we were greeted with the beauty of the landscape right outside the windows, reminding us we were in a truly magical place. The holiday home itself was cozy, charming, and beautifully maintained, with thoughtful touches that made it feel like a home away from home. The house’s traditional Connemara charm paired with all the modern comforts made our stay incredibly comfortable and relaxing. From the warm interior to the lovely garden and surrounding stone walls, every detail added to the experience. The peacefulness of the bay and the surrounding countryside allowed us to disconnect from the usual hustle and bustle, while still having easy access to local amenities and the captivating sights of Connemara. This is truly a hidden gem, and we can't recommend it highly enough. If you're looking for a getaway where you can unwind and soak in Ireland's natural beauty, Glinsk Bay Holiday Rental is the place to be. We can’t wait to come back!

Was für ein wunderbarer Ort

Wir haben uns mit drei Generationen und 9 Familienmitgliedern sehr wohlgefühlt. Unsere Tochter sitzt im Rollstuhl. john hat extra für uns eine Rampe an die hintere Türe gebaut, so dass die beiden Stufen im Erdgeschoss kein Problem waren! Danke dafür! Das Haus ist sehr gemütlich und geräumig. Die drei Badezimmer sind großartig, wenn man eine große Familie ist. Die Lage und tolle Aussicht sind erstklassig. Danke für diesen wundervollen Ort! Danke für das immer wieder höfliche Nachfragen nach unserem Wohlbefinden! Es waren 2 unvergesslich schöne Wochen.
