This property has been under repair for two years since Helen. They have done a wonderful job. Everything needed was there. Such a convertible place and so relaxing.The area around the home is so beautiful, the stream is perfect to play in, the pups loved it.Just can’t say enough. We will return for sure!!

We booked this stay a bit late leading up to the 4th and feeling very lucky that we did! It’s a great location with a 25 minute drive into both black mountain and Asheville while also being nice and tucked away. The house itself was great as well and we spent about 90% of our time on the back deck. The stream out back is very easy to access and our dogs especially loved it. Lastly Carol was a great host, very communicative and willing to help at any turn. Would highly recommend!

Christmas Getaway

Centrally located to many locations. Enough room to spread out and everyone enjoyed the river, fire pit and big porches!

Great place, we would love to come back again

A long weekend with friends was so easy in this clean and well-appointed house. The front porch overlooking the river was absolutely wonderful. The kitchen has enough so that you can actually cook in it!

Soothing getaway

The home was perfect for our family and dogs. The river was absolutely wonderful and such a delight to listen to. Erin was so detailed in her instructions which was so helpful and very communicative. We had a great stay!

Great place to unwind and enjoy wildlife. Played in river, relaxed on both decks and enjoy decor and comfort of inside. Owner extremely nice and easy to work with.

Relaxing

The place was beautiful and very nice. We enjoyed the River very much. That’s were we spent majority of our time. Wi-Fi service is not great and parking. Other than those 2 things you could not ask for a better place

Just right

Perfect place to stay for my family and our German Shepherd. Clean and well-stocked with the essentials. Strong wi-fi. Went fly fishing in the river and caught several brook trout. Great location to get to Chimney Rock (about 15min) and Lake Lure (about 20min).

Perfect Mountain Getaway

This was the perfect spot for a few days of relaxation. Wish we could have stayed longer. Once you're there, you don't want to leave. Take your groceries with you. Best time I've had in a long time. The driveway is a little tricky the first time - best to do it in the daylight, if at all possible. Beautiful!

Highly recommended!

This was our second time at this house and we had a wonderful stay again. The setting is spectacular, with a porch that overlooks the serene river. The view and the sound of the river make for an incredibly relaxing and private getaway. The house is well stocked with all the essentials and this time had high-speed W-Fi, which was a pleasant surprise. The location is perfect, offering quick access to various attractions in the area and the host is very nice and responsive. We can’t wait to return to this lovely mountain getaway by the river. Highly recommended!

Could use a good coat of paint and some way to access the front door without crawling under the deck. Driveway could use some work Without four wheel drive would not been able to back out. Gas logs could use updating. Great location and bed was good.

Super Relaxing

Staying at a house on a flowing river couldn’t be more relaxing. The sounds and the view were perfect. Very clean house. Also, the hosts are very hospitable: stocked with coffee, toilet paper, paper towels, etc. Very tired of cheap hosts on AirBnb that don’t even leave you a paper towel roll. Lol. That is why I tried Vrbo this time and I overall I was very pleased! I will definitely be back!

Birthday Vacation

Lovely location with spectacular views and river fun. Very spacious and family oriented for all ages. Host went above expectations with accomodations such as full kitchen pots pans etc. laundry detergent, and basic needs. The driveway was steep but manageable. River was very relaxing and peaceful. The kids loved playing hide and seek. Very good instructions for driveway and securing locks. Overall it was an excellent experience and home. The only comments I have about cleaning would be to make sure all trash if out from under furniture beds etc. We had trash under all the beds not a lot though and the amount of dog hair was a bit excessive on the couches and porches for a non animal owner. Thank you for giving me a wonderful birthday!!!

Nature and peace

The home itself was perfect for a getaway ✨️ however the lockbox on the lower deck did not open we ended up having to climb up the rock steps which was difficult for me because I do have a bad knee. The driveway was tricky not well laminated it had rained and it was difficult getting our truck up the driveway to the road, so much so the truck fishtailed and we slide into a tree... this was the worst part of the trip so remember to have a truck and back down the driveway to make getting out easier.
