we were suppose to check in at 4 and they were still cleaning till 4:30 only space heaters in the living room and kitchen, we had toddlers. none of the outlets worked on the south side of the living room, so none of the lamps worked, no TV in the living room I did call and it would take 2 hours for the maintaince man to get there and we had already been there for an hour trying to get things to work. The did tell me that the braker box was on the back of the house, it was dark and I didn't feel that was my place and I was not sure to go back there. I told Sara that we were going to a motel and for her to get a hold of me the next day. The next day we went to my daughter's place in Phoenix and it was 5 pm before she contacted me by texting. We never went back. I emailed her and Evolve about everything and I have not heard back from either one. I feel that we should get some part of a refund, but you need to decide what you think is best. Sorry for the trouble.

Beware wintertime renters

We were really sold by the idea of 4 fireplaces advertised at this property. Unfortunately they do not work. What is even worst is that there is no other source of heat outside of the broken fireplaces in two of the three bedrooms. We drove up in active winter storm warnings and discovered the lack of heat in the bedroom’s designated for our small children with no resolution offered from the renter outside of purchasing our own space heaters or moving to the rooms next door, which consisted of two beds with an attached bathroom. Far too small to accommodate our family. The storms wound up being so severe that the surrounding interstate’s were closed leaving us without the option to even relocate or go home. Temps were well into the 20’s during our stay without efficient heat for the bedrooms that small children were sleeping in. We are so disheartened by the entire ordeal and are waiting to hear back from Evolve or VRBO with some effort to reconcile the situation. Please steer clear unless you are able to confirm there is functional heat at this unit as it is extremely unsafe and should not be on the site for rent during the winter.
