Beautiful Lakefront Eiendom med 2 Hytter - Crooked Lake Angola, Indiana

Velkommen til Shady Side Cottages på Crooked Lake. Crooked Lake er en av Indianas best bevarte hemmelighet alle sportsvann. To fullstendig renoverte hytter ligger på en vannkanten eiendom på Crooked Lake Angola, Indiana. Nyt fantastiske soloppganger og solnedganger fra begge hyttene. Ligger nær Captain's Cabin, slik at du kan gå ned til middag eller drikke. Den øvre hytta er 830 sq ft, og den nedre hytta er 600 sq ft. Begge har dekk som har patio bord / stoler og hver har spektakulær utsikt over Crooked Lake. Nyt fiske fra kaien eller hoppe ut i den forfriskende innsjøen. Hytta kommer med padleplater, kajakker, en pedalbåt, brannkasse, en tv i øvre og nedre hytter sammen med wifi og internett-tv og et utvalg av spill.

Den øvre hytta ble fullstendig renovert og ferdigstilt i begynnelsen av 2019. Den sover 6-7. Den har to soverom (1 queen size-seng, 1 full seng) og en verandaen ombygget for å sove som har to enkeltsenger og en trekk ut trille med en seng. Stuen inneholder en seksjonssofa. Det er ett bad, en komplett kjøkken og en vaskemaskin og tørketrommel.

De nederste hyttene er på vei og vil bli gjort innen våren 2019. Vi kaller dette Kids Cottage eller en familie forblir i øvre og den andre familien forblir i det nedre. Det sover 8 lett, pluss loftet gir mer plass. Den nederste hytta har en liten leilighet størrelse kjøkken, et fullstendig renovert bad, to soverom (full size køyeseng og en queen size-seng i ett soverom og en dobbeltseng køyeseng i det andre soverommet. Det er en liten hems som har to doble madrasser som er tilgjengelig med en innebygd stige.

Hyttene er beleilig plassert utenfor I-69 og I-80/90 tollveien. Nærliggende nyt Captain's Cabin til middag ved bare å gå nedover gaten. Andre nærliggende restauranter og aktiviteter inkluderer Caruso, Subway, Tanger Outlet, isbutikker, Pokagon State Park, Tom's Donuts og en rekke restauranter og butikker i Angola, Indiana, som ikke er mer enn en 5-10 minutters kjøretur.

Great location. The cottages look small but there is plenty of room inside of both. Great places nearby and we will be back again!

Great Getaway

The two cottages were perfect. Allowed the adults to hang out in one while the teenagers had their own to hang out in.

Wonderful stay!

We loved this property! We do an annual friends lake trip and even though each cottage was small it was very clean and had tons of sleeping spaces. We will say there is no central air in either cottages. The AC units kept the cottages pretty cool however in the upper cottage the kitchen was significantly hotter than the living which is where the AC unit was. With that being said the dock was awesome and the houses were very clean and smelled GREAT when we walked through the door. We would have probably preferred to all be in the same house but we booked it late and this was an excellent alternative! Also the host was very accommodating and responsive!

Crooked Lake Cottages

We loved the cottages and they were perfect for our whole extended family that came together for the weekend. Clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and perfect swimming area. Love how many outdoor chairs there were and the paddle boards and kayaks were great!

Family Vacation

Amazing property with all of the amenities! All you need to bring is your suit and food to have a great time. The host is very responsive and accommodating. This place made for a nice vacation with multiple families and allowed individual space.

Beautiful views! Darling cottages!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Shadyside cottages. We had a large group and there was plenty of places to sleep and hang out. Loved the easy access to the water, paddle boards and kayaks! We brought our own boat and the lake was fun for water skiing! The interior is absolutely adorable! Would love to go back next year!

Could not have been better!

What can I say but everything about this property was truly perfect for our family/group. Check in was easy. Place was clean. We had so much fun being out on the water and celebrating the birthdays with lots of birthday cake. Must do this again real soon.

Awesome Lake Cottages

We really enjoyed our stay. The cottages were nice and cozy. The lake was great. We enjoyed floating and swimming off the dock because the bottom was clear and sandy. The paddle boards and kayaks were so fun. We really enjoyed getting on those every day. We also ate our meals outside on the upper deck, which overlooked the water. Overall, I’d definitely recommend staying here.

Wonderful time on Crooked Lake!

These cottages are amazing for a large family! Two kitchens and dining areas, more than enough room for our group of 9! We rented a pontoon from a recommendation of the owner and enjoying every minute on the lake. Campfires, fun in the water, and beautiful sunsets! Our kids are already planning our trip back next year. Thank you!!

Great location

We loved the location and private swim area. A few improvements to be made: - lots of ants on the upper cottage deck, constantly searching for food - lots of bees outside, making eating on either deck or by the water nearly impossible. One of our 4 year olds was stung on the ear. - large depression on the hill going down to the fire pit — one person severely twisted their ankle and took a nasty fall Overall good and we hope to return again someday. Thank you!

Wonderful Family Location

The check in process was super easy. There are 2 cottages which were both very clean and well maintained. We had 3 families with kids ages 1- 10 in our group. Everybody enjoyed the water, and there were plenty of water toys(kayaks, pedal boat etc) to keep everybody entertained. The views were wonderful and we couldn’t have been more pleased. We kept saying over and over “this place is so great”. We will be back!

Lake get away

Property is nice with a wonderful swimming area and pier. The kitchen in the upper cottage is well equipped. The grandchildren loved the amenities of kayaks and a paddle board. Only disappointment is the sleeping loft that could sleep 4 people but not suitable to use due to how hot it is up there with no air conditioning up there and no window covering to keep out the sunlight. Also the enclosed porch on the upper unit has 2 nice twin beds that would be wonderful to use if blinds or drapes were installed to block out light. We loved everything else about the property. We would recommend this property to others.

Perfect weekend

The Shadyside cottages were perfect for our family/friend weekend getaway. We have rented multiple times with VRBO and this house so far has been the best stocked house we’ve stayed in. You literally need to just show up and enjoy yourself. We rented the cottages with another family. The adults had the upper cottage and the teenagers had the lower. Everyone had a blast. Julie was amazing to work with. Hopefully we can rent them again. Kim

Family vacay

Has a wonderful sandy area for swimming with kayaks. The main kitchen of the upper cottage was well equipped. The decor of both cottages was nice. The home owner was easy to communicate with. The outdoor grill is usable but falling apart and really needs replaced. The sleeping porch needs a big fan to cool it down to sleep. Also the lower cottage should have a window air conditioner in the loft to allow it to cool down so you could use the loft as extra sleeping. Overall we would highly recommend these cottages to rent . We had a wonderful time at this property with our family.

Family Getaway

We were impressed with the overall cottage decor and cleanliness, even a fresh bouquet of flowers. Everything, including kitchen spices and condiments were available. The kids had a lot of fun with the basketball goal that is mobile and can be used at the water edge. It’s a great place for young children because the water is so shallow and clear. The teenagers used the kayaks. We attempted using the grill, but it is totally rusted out, not really usable. The paddle boat was not cleaned and ready to use, as well as the life jackets. Theses things can be easily remedied. Overall, it was a great fit for our family. We had a wonderful time!

Cute but water issue in lower house

Both houses are decorated nicely and it sleeps quite a number of people. Top house is great. Bottom house has cute decor. Paddle boats and kayaks are great to be able to use. However the water at the bottom house was an issue for us. There is a very strong sulfur smell when you used the hot water even when we tried to run for 5-10 minute thinking it was water left in the water tank. It was strong enough that no one was able to take a shower in that house (everyone used the one bathroom in the top house) and the sulfuric smell lingered quite a bit. Communication with owner when we had a couple of questions was quick and efficient when we had a couple of questions and very helpful and kind.

Great Shady Side Stay

As we approached the property, we were deceived by the modest appearance from the street view. We found the inside of the cottages very attractive and the view of the lake to be great. Both cottages were obviously recently and nicely renovated, particularly kitchens and bathrooms. Both Cottages were well equipped, very clean, and stocked with the essentials. It was appreciated that basic items, like foil, cling wrap, detergent, soaps, were provided to get the beginning of the visit off to a good start. Everybody enjoyed the lake with the paddle boards, Kayak, and peddle boat. The washer and dryer was a huge asset as kids came in from swimming. My favorite was the large deck.on the lake side of the upper cottage. It has two umbrella tables with chairs for 10 people. It is higher than the roof of the lower cottage with a great view of the lake. If we have the opportunity to return to this area, we will certainly revisit the Shady Side Cottage.

Overall a nice few days away

Overall we had a good couple of days away with our 2 kids and another couple with their two kids. The sandy area and shallow waters were ideal to let the kids play around, fish and feed the ducks that would literally eat out of your hand. The dock is well weathered. Tying up a 23'+ boat was all the dock could handle I think as the one day it was a little breezy and our 9yr old cut the bottom of his foot on a nail sticking up and bent over. The lower cabin has tech in every room so the kids enjoyed watching movies in the evenings but it also has no insulation so the window AC units will run a lot. The bunks beds in the lower cabin were also ideal for the 4 kids. The gas grill is also a "Walmart special" so don't bring anything more than burgers, hotdogs and brats for grilling as it was a challenge on flare ups. We enjoyed the lake and the sand bar was nice. There are some shallow areas in the lake so using a live track GPS nautical chart on the boat was ideal.

Multi-Generational Family Stay

We had a great weekend at Crooked Lake! This property was everything that we were hoping for. We were pleasantly surprised that the lake bottom in front of these cottages was sandy, completely free of lake weeds until you get out past the dock. The water was also wonderfully shallow for quite a ways out, which was so fantastic for the three toddlers in our group. We used the kayaks everyday and the paddle board was a favorite! The views of the sunrise and sunset were just beautiful and exactly what you'd imagine at a lake getaway. The AC window units worked well to keep things cool but they were very noisy. The only space we noticed that didn't get cool was the loft. The kitchen was very well appointed with absolutely anything you could possibly need. There were very minor maintenance issues that could be addressed: the slider to the top deck would get tight and difficult to move halfway open, the latch on the upper cottage's back door would get stuck on the plate so it was hard to lock up the door back again, and the barn doors in the lower cottage would come off the tracks if pushed too hard or in the wrong direction (as kids tend to do). We loved that both of the houses were one story inside. It made it very easy to baby proof and let the toddlers and kids go free in the house. We also extremely appreciated having plenty of plastic plates and cups! It felt really kid friendly, which was exactly what we were looking for. We are so glad we stayed here!

Great Lake Experience

Great for two families

Two great little cottages that are perfect for two young families wanting to vacation together, but also have their own space. Nicely updated and had all needed kitchen/bedroom supplies. Shallow, sandy lake entry was great for kids to play in the water. Outdoor steps could use updating and wouldn't be ideal for elderly visitors but they didn't cause our group any problems. Host was very responsive although we didn't need much. Hope to return!
