New for Late-April 2024, we have added a fourth bedroom and a third full bathroom, a giant, custom-built dining table, and all-new LVT flooring in all common areas! Our 8-person Hot Tub was added in Spring 2023. Newly opened in August 2022, Serenity Lake Vista is a peaceful rural waterfront retreat tucked on a gentle slope alongside Lower Scott Lake in Allegan County, just 12 miles from the charming coastal Lake Michigan town of South Haven. This comfortable home has a full kitchen with a breakfast nook and island which open up to an adjacent living room area with an electric fireplace and large-screen (55") satellite-connected TV with DVD player as well as a large dining area with huge custom dining table. There are four bedrooms with 7 total beds: one queen, one king, one private king master bedroom suite with both a step-in shower and jacuzzi tub, and a kids' bunk bedroom with 2 sets of bunk beds (twin tops with full futon bottoms), plus another 2.5 bathrooms. Outside you will find a spacious lakeside deck with a large dining area and a gas grill, a back deck with seating, a lakeside fire pit with seating, an 8-person hot tub with pergola (available all year), and front yard lake access which includes a private beach with a private dock and free use of our two (2) kayaks.

Note: Your private beach with dock and two kayaks (2) is located right in your front yard, and our hot tub is available 24/7/365!

The Neighborhood:
Serenity Lake Vista is tucked away on a quiet, partially-wooded 2.6-acre lakefront lot on Lower Scott Lake in Lee Township, Michigan. Enjoy spring, summer, and fall in peaceful rural Michigan. Summer brings the fun of boating, swimming, picnicking, and relaxing. The autumn colors are spectacular around the lake and in the surrounding area. Spring brings the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting to life, invigorating your soul and mind after the long winter.

The cottage is 10-15 minutes away from Crane's Orchards and Dutch Farms, famous for delicious pies and fruit picking. On the way to the orchards is the Fennville Winery, offering tours and wine tastings. If you like antiquing, it does not get better than this - there are many antique stores within 20 minutes, either in South Haven, Allegan, Douglas, and Saugatuck or along Blue Star Highway. In the summer dune rides are a blast and the South Haven beaches are gorgeous. Go fruit picking for cherries, blueberries, raspberries, and apples in nearby orchards. Art galleries in the area offer a wonderful selection to take home as souvenirs. Take your own kayaks to different lakes and rivers - but don't forget your paddles and life jackets!

The home sits right on Lower Scott Lake, a tranquil 115-acre spring-fed lake, with your own private beach with dock and kayaks.

Lower Scott Lake is only about 15 minutes from downtown South Haven or Saugatuck, and just 25 minutes from Holland.

Getting Around:
You will need a car to see the best that Southwest Michigan has to offer.

Cellular pocket Wi-Fi is provided by AT&T, the best area internet service provider. They only offer limited speeds so more than a few connected devices at a time will cause lag. We provide satellite TV since video streaming is not an option.

Parties: Loud Parties With Excessive Alcohol/Drug Use Are Not Allowed. All Drinking Games Are Prohibited. We Ask That Nothing Be Stuck To Our Walls Since This Will Damage The Paint. Use of Tinsel, Glitter, Confetti, Feathers, Etc., is Not Welcomed Since They Leave A Mess That Is Very Hard & Time-Consuming for Our Very Small Staff To Clean Up. Note: If You Have A Wild Party, We Will Call The Police & Have You Removed From Our Property.

Township-Mandated Quiet Hours Are From 10 PM-8 AM Daily.

No EV Charging, Smoking, Fireworks, Vaping, Marijuana Use, or Pets/Animals. No Exceptions.

Annual girls trip

We are 4 women who travel together every October. We loved this property! The house was extremely clean, beds comfortable, kitchen very well appropriated, awesome firepit, beautiful views! The lake was actually closer than it looked in the picture. Nicole was available to answer questions and came to the house twice to communicate with us re: some work going on behind the property. We would definitely come back!!

House is great...the lake isn't for boating

The house was as expected. The description and photos of the house gave a good representation. Everything was clean and in good shape. The deck and hot tub were nice, and the fire pit area was great! The only downside was the lake itself. It is a very shallow lake, and a majority of the lake had seaweed everywhere. It made it very difficult to use the pontoon boat we brought up with seaweed catching in the motor. Once we got to the other side of the lake, there was a section that was better for boating. If you are looking for a lake to boat in, this might be the ideal place...BUT if you are more focused on fishing, sitting by the fire and kayaking, then this house is a great option. The town of Pullman doesnt have much at all, but other town werent too far away. Overall, this was a nice house to stay in for the weekend!

Michigan getaway

Nice clean house with lots of space. The longer I stayed there, the more I liked it! Kids has fun taking the kayaks out on the lake and caught lots of little sun fish. It was hard to fish because the pond does have a lot of water grass. So you can’t cast out or the hooks get caught in the grass. You kind of just had to drop the hook right where you were. The house was about 25 minutes away from South Haven and pretty much everything else, but it was worth it to be on the lake. Just ignore the run down properties on the way to the house. This house gave me lake life envy for sure!

Nice family getaway

We had an enjoyable multi-generational family time together at the house. Plenty of room for all of us (9 people ranging from 13 to 82) and plenty of "stuff" to make the trip enjoyable. We cooked in the kitchen for all meals and found it well stocked for everything that we needed. The lake is very peaceful and we saw tons of interesting wildlife. I imagine it is a great place to fish though we didn't do that. We loved going out in the kayaks and on our SUPs. We didn't travel out so don't know about area around house. All in all, a good place for family fun and reconnection. Thanks for the experience!
