The mountain views, wide open space, and a charming country feel make this property the perfect spot for your getaway!

Welcome to the Columbia Mountain Basecamp in the “Gateway to Glacier National Park". The Outdoors Retreat is well located: 15 mins from the Kalispell airport, 20 mins from GNP, and convenient to many other fantastic outdoor areas, beaches & lakes, ski areas, rivers, Whitefish, Polebridge, Bigfork...yet it feels like you’re in your own Montana paradise with unobstructed views.

The space
The Outdoors Retreat is a simply charming guest house that has been recently remodeled and most furniture is brand new.

The bedroom has a comfortable queen size bed and a beautiful mural behind the bed that brings the surrounding outdoors in. The living room has a sectional with a queen-size pull-out bed. There is a large flatscreen smart TV mounted on the wall for enjoying some down time at night after enjoying outdoor activities. The kitchen is equipped with all necessary appliances and cookware.

The house is decorated with a Glacier and Montana theme. A full-size washer and dryer are available for guest usage. It also has heat for the winter, but it does not currently have a/c (not required in MT). The property has parking for 2 cars next to the entrance; however, the garage is not currently available for guest usage/parking.

Once at the house, you’ll find a binder with many local suggestions and brochures; however, let us know if you need trip planning help prior to your arrival. We do recommend looking at Glacier NP's website for information about their vehicle reservation system.

The Wi-Fi on the property is reliable and most cell phone service is great, but one can also connect to “Wi-Fi Calling,” if necessary, as well.

Whether you're looking to get out and explore, get out of the big city and work remote with awe inspiring (and constantly changing) views, or just relax and enjoy the beautiful Montana weather, this is the perfect spot for everything! Plan your stay today and enjoy the fresh mountain air and this beautiful land! Life’s too short not to!

Guest access
This 2.4-acre property has 2 homes, 2 RV sites, and 6 horse enclosures. You may see other people around the property from time to time. You'll have exclusive access to the Outdoors Retreat guest house and 2 parking spaces. You will also have access to all shared amenities (such as a fire pit, BBQ, and big front and back yards).

Visiting the area with horses? The property has numerous pens and enclosures for horses. Let the hosts know if you’re interested in using them.

If you plan on working from/while at the property and you'd like a separate computer station, please let us know. We can provide a portable (light weight) computer desk with a hutch (see provided picture) and possibly a computer screen, if desired.

Best! Best! Best!

Yasmina and Jared's guesthouse near Glacier is the best place to stay! Look no further! First, the location is great for visiting Glacier National Park (30 minutes to the west entrance) and being close to Kalispell (15 minutes) for dining and groceries. The place itself looks just like the photos, very clean, well stocked and super comfortable. It was the perfect spot for my husband and I to rest and relax. The views out the front window of the mountains in the morning are gorgeous and the area is so peaceful. We kept the windows open - a cool breeze making the space the perfect temperature. The hosts are the best hosts we’ve had after 4 months of traveling and staying at short term rentals. Yasmina was communicative, responded very quickly, gave us many recommendations for hiking in the area and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing. If you need help finding anything in the area, she is a wealth of information! Jared and Yasmina went out of their way to make us feel welcome - inviting us to watch the space station pass over and look at the night sky full of stars with them by a campfire. It was magical to see the Milky Way and even a few shooting stars! Yasmina even invited us to a mushroom foraging class at a nearby trailhead. We loved getting to know both Yasmina and Jared. They are special people and amazing hosts. We highly recommend their guesthouse to anyone!

Hidden Gem

Tucked back in an open and welcoming area. Very clean and updated. Lots of room and well equipped. The host is very gracious and went out of her way to make sure everything was available for a great stay.

Beautiful Quiet Property

Hosts were very respectful, prompt to respond and did an excellent job with making our stay enjoyable. Very clean place, in a great location, with all the inside amenities you’d need. Overall fantastic stay, I’d highly recommend!

We are Jared and Yasmina. Neither of us are from Montana but we got here as soon as we could! After a few extended-stay summers in the Flathead Valley, we were excited to purchase the beautiful Columbia Mountain Basecamp property to come year-round and welcome guests from across the world.

Turns out summers are awesome, but winters are magical! Every season here is unique and equally wonderful. Please let us know if we can make any suggestions about the area. We’ve explored in every direction, in all modes of transportation, and in all seasons.

Fair warning: It’s hard to leave this wonderful place known as The Treasure State!
