This modern, stylish, family-friendly holiday home is found in a quiet and peaceful rural setting close to Mangawhai Village and the Heads. With all day sun, a large flat lawn and a chook run out the back, it is an idyllic setting to get away from it all while still being close to the action. With plenty of space and excellent entertaining options both inside and out, it is great for a couple of families to holiday together. The four bedroom, two bathroom house sleeps eight, just note there are beds for seven and the eighth is a mattress on the floor in the TV lounge or one of the bedrooms.

The large grassed area out front with enclosed tramp is great for the kids to burn off some energy and for summer games, and you can join in or watch while relaxing on the deck with a cool drink. Immerse yourself in the rural lifestyle, feed the chickens and collect eggs and pick fruit and veges from the garden.

After a day at the beach this is a fantastic oasis to retire to, particularly when Mangawhai is at its busiest. If the weather isn't so flash the Smart TV has Netflix, Neon and for sports fans there is Sky Sport. There is also plenty of parking space for cars and a boat.

This is truly the perfect place to relax and enjoy the magic of Mangawhai under two hours from Auckland. Grab you friends and family for a truly memorable stay.

NB: Please note as mentioned above there are chickens on the property and they just need a bit of feed thrown to them each day, a fun task for the kids to do.

LINEN: Please note that other than pillows, duvets and duvet covers, linen is not included in the tariffs but can be rented for $25 per person, further details are provided in the 'Rooms and beds' section of the listing. If you wish to add linen, please add a note to your booking with what beds you wish to use so they can be made up. We have linen as an optional extra to make a more affordable holiday for those who wish to bring their own.

BOOKING PAYMENT: Although Bookabach/VRBO take your credit card details, all booking payments are made to Bach Stay NZ Limited who manage this property for the owners. Once your booking is approved, we will send you a payment email with a choice of credit card payment (a 3% surcharge applies) or bank transfer (no charges). Please note the amount stated as 'Deposit Paid at Property' on the Bookabach/VRBO quote is actually a refundable bond that will be collected as part of the accommodation payment, it is not collected at the property as the wording suggests.

Mangawhai is the perfect summer holiday destination or coastal retreat. With its beautiful swimming and surf beaches and abundant marine life, Mangawhai is a popular spot for sailing, fishing, surfing, diving and summer family fun. The clear waters of the estuary provide safe family swimming, and the secluded white sand beaches of Te Arai and Pakiri are a short drive away.

Enjoy the vibrant art and cafe scene, local farmers market and the famous Bennetts Chocolate Shop. Soak up the natural beauty of this slice of coastal paradise, beachcombing, bush walking or just relaxing in a comfy chair with a glass of something cool.
