Wonderful, quiet, had everything I needed for a perfect stay. Updated kitchen, large bathroom with vanity/drawers, screened in balcony with views of the ocean and palms. Able to snorkel right out in front of condo complex with easy ocean access. Can't wait to return!

No washer,dryer on site but nearby public exists. Easy walk into the water, plenty of fish and coral within reach just by snorkeling. Bar and restraunt very close as well as scuba business that is easy to work with.

The Sand Dollar Condos (E9) provided us with a very pleasant stay for our first time in Bonaire. The staff were all friendly and attentive, the view from our back porch was incredible, and the dining options nearby were all delicious (Eddy's, Panino's and Doner Station, to name a few). We will definitely return to Sand Dollar when we vacation again on Bonaire.

Haven't stayed at the Sand Dollar for about 5 years but was pleasantly surprised that the whole resort seemed to be tidier and better kept. The unit we stayed in was clean, towels were fresh and generally the service was friendly and helpful. It would appear that they must have new management since I last visited and they are most definitely on top of things. We'll be back.

A very nice place to stay on Bonaire

This is not the newest and most modern resort on Bonaire, but it is very clean, well kept up, quiet, and has excellent snorkeling right in front of the property. There are a number of good restaurants within an easy walking distance. The unit we booked (a 1 bedroom) was much larger than we expected - an unexpected pleasant surprise. Everything you need is included in the unit, plates, silverware, glasses, pots/pans, coffee maker, microwave, refrigerator, and stove. In the bathroom, there is a hair dryer (important for my wife). The unit also has a very nice screened in lanai to enjoy the sunset. The unit was cleaned once during our week stay (which was communicated at booking). Communications was excellent, staff were pleasant to work with and very helpful. It's only about a 5 minute drive to downtown, 10-12 to the airport, and convenient to a number of well recommended snorkeling and dive spots. There are4 two dive shops very close by.

Sand Dollar Condominiums offer the perfect base of operations for a diving vacation in Bonaire. Dive Friends has a branch on the property offering rental equipment, tanks, weights, snorkeling gear - everything you might need. They also offer PADI training courses with knowledgeable, highly skilled instructors. There is a fine restaurant on the property and others within walking distance. The condos are beautifully designed with excellent kitchen appliances and dinnerware provided. The unit I rented was decorated with photos and objects reflecting the natural environment of Bonaire. There are pegs on the patio wall to hang wet diving gear. The patio was screened and had perfect furnishings allowing relaxing interludes. There was a large-screen TV and the owner even provided some of the standard reference books on Caribbean marine life. I cannot imagine a better rental unit for the traveling diver -- everything was perfect!

Good choice, particularly for scuba divers.

The units are clean, spacy, and have all ammenities which one would expect, including a well-equipped kitchen. A few steps from the ocean, this is a no-nonsense accomodation, which caters primarily to scuba divers. Recommended.

Stayed one week March 2022 in unit D14. Fantastic experience! The condo had everything one could possibly want; from kitchen appliances/odds & ends, to a scuba related library. The large, airy, screened balcony also had a sturdy rod for hanging lots of dive gear to dry (and included numerous specialty hangers). It is a short walk to the "Dive Friends" facility and dock for boat trips or Bari Reef. Rinse tanks, showers, etc. are provided on the dock & closer to the parking lot for shore divers. The onsite pool & restaurant are also very nice.

We had a great time. The swimming area in the ocean is phenomenal for snorkeling. They do not have a swimming pool. The restaurant has very odd hours and was never open when we wanted lunch. The primary purpose for us staying there was to get our kids PADI certified and that was great they just had to walk to the dive shop. We will be back. Very few amenities but we did not miss it.

Location is perfect and the fact that it had a kitchen was a plus. The screened in porch is wonderful and quite spacious. Easily another living area!. Staff at this property is very friendly. It is an older property, and some of the units have not been update, some have. My biggest issue was the furniture was very dated and uncomfortable and the mattress was like a board. Everything was clean and that was nice.

I would like to give it a bad review just for the reason that it remains available for us. Seriously we enjoyed the stay so much. The property is not this high class 5 star resort but a privately held apartment. Not the newest, not the best, but absolutely cozy, not too loud (you barely see people even though it was fully booked). Reception is so lala. You have 3 dive sites in reach from the property. Dive shop is good too.
