Unfortunately, my stay did not align with the listing description and included a serious safety incident.The exterior shown on VRBO presents a well-lit apartment building with visible security features. In reality, the unit is located in a dimly lit alley and differs materially from the listing photos. Had the actual exterior been accurately depicted, I would not have booked the property.Additionally, the pool — a primary reason for selecting this listing — was closed for construction for the entirety of my stay. The rooftop lounge and reading area were also inaccessible throughout the visit. These amenity closures were not disclosed in advance and were important features and reasons for me booking the property.Most concerning, on the final night at approximately midnight, I was awakened by someone attempting to enter the unit and had gained entry to the patio through the steel outer door. I do not recommend this property.

Thank you for sharing your feedback—I’m very sorry to hear that your stay did not meet expectations. I do want to clarify that our listing includes photos of the actual unit entrance, as well as notes regarding access to amenities. The pool and shared spaces are located in a nearby sister building, as outlined in the listing and check-in instructions. That said, I understand how important those amenities were to your stay and regret any frustration caused. Regarding your safety concern, I take matters like this very seriously. The situation involving someone accessing the patio area appears to be related to a scam page that had copied our listing without authorization. This was completely outside of our control, and it has since been reported and removed. While I absolutely understand your concern, the unit itself cannot be accessed without the key from the lockbox, which is why we strongly encourage all guests to ensure all doors are securely locked at all times. I will also continue reviewing this to ensure everything remains safe and secure for future guests.

The review from February had not been posted until after our stay. If we had seen this review and pictures of an alley unit, we would have not booked this stay. The listing pictures of the exterior are of the "sister" building -- at the time of our booking, there were no exterior pictures of the actual unit. The "sister" building is not adjacent, nor similar in any way. It is actually on a different street, two blocks away. Additionally, we did not have direct access to the pool, as a key-fob is needed, which is not supplied by the host. On a positive note, the host did a nice job with the interior of his unit. He also updated his listing to state the exterior pictures are of a different building.

Fencing around the doorknob was still pried open.
