Its a beautiful plaxe but disappointed in the pool which was suppose to be open wasnt open. Some fods in continental breakfast were passed expiration date.

Awesome!

Amazing hotel. Clean spacious rooms - larger than expected, actually. Small kitchenette in the room. An actual bedroom door. I am an early riser & I could leave the bedroom and not disturb my husband. Property was very well maintained, especially as it was their end of season.

Beautiful property & hotel. Very old school & elegant! It's off season though & only 1 restaurant was open with a limited menu. Hot tub was not in operation-very sad about that. I'm sure in high season this place is fantastic!

Hot tub was out of order. Ice machine was out of order. Gold course was in terrible shape. Steak restaurant was not open on Friday or Saturday. Service was terrible at the sports bar. Room was nice but that is all that I can say was positive about our stay

Weekend trip

The resort had a charming appeal and potential, but it seems in need of some basic attention. Our room had a “smell,” which we adjusted to, but we also found the bathroom not cleaned very well nor the carpet of the room. The room was spacious and nice amenities. We were there on a Saturday evening and the steakhouse wasn’t open. Although there were not many people in the bar and grill at our time of visit, the staff seemed overwhelmed…. We had to seek out assistance, our drinks were forgotten, our food order was inaccurate… We enjoyed the golf course, didn’t have time during our stay for other activities, but seems with a little more attention, this could be a great resort. We felt safe and enjoyed our time well enough.

We picked this hotel specifically because it said it had a lounge and full restaurant on site. Also a pool hot tube and sauna. When we arrived we were told that the lounge and restaurant were only open on Fridays and Saturdays. There was an additional charge for 25.00 on our bill but we were not able to use any of the amenities because they were not open. This was disappointing.

We were greatly disappointed by the dining options. All restaurants were closed by 9pm and there were no other dining options in the community within 15 miles. When we did attempt to dine in the Wonder Bar, there was only one person serving and no one acknowledged us so we left and drove 15 miles to other options. Also, the Hot Tub was closed for maintenance, with a well worn sign indicating (Making it seem like it had been closed for a while).

The property and grounds were beautiful. The room was very nicely appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet and we had a great night's sleep. There were many outdoor activities available for a fee. We enjoyed our weekend evening in the bar listening to live music and dining. The food there was delicious. However, based on my understanding of the signage, be aware that the bar is only open on the weekends.

Just ok

Overall, stay was eh-ok. Upon arrival and checking in, front desk person was not very personable, and seemed distracted. Room was nice and as expected. Had teenagers with us, so thought we would check out the amenities. Pool was nice, but both hot tub and sauna were out of order. Made our way to the 3rd floor, and most things were closed as they are only open Friday and Saturday and our stay was during the week, so that was unfortunate. Stopped at the arcade, and the change machine was out of order and a few of the machines weren’t even turned on. Then walked down to the bar and grill to get some food, which apparently closes around 9pm. Thought we’d play some pool instead, but nope, out of order. They said it would be fixed the next day. (It wasn’t). Went down to breakfast in the morning, which left something to be desired, but we made due. Played a round of golf which was good. Greens were maintained and was nice to see the random wildlife. No cell service, so plan on going into Pembine if you need to use your cell phone. Overall stay was ok, and maybe we just stayed at the wrong time, but probably wouldn’t come back just to stay at again unless we had something bringing us back to the area.
