There is no reception. They expect you to call a call centre to get an understanding of how to pick up keys. Your international phone roaming bill will cross few hundreds as the call centre wait os too long. Also the information you get from call centre is not 100% correct. It was a big struggle to find a room key to check in. It took 2 hours for me after tiring international flight

The location is great, room size is good. It is an old building and quite clean They dont provide room makeup service on Sundays and PH (and they inform that on the check-in). On Monday, they didnt provide also makeup. According to the receptionist, it was because I had the "no disturb" sign. But it was the opposite, I had the "makeup" sign and I was not at the hotel. Quite disappointed.

Nice accommodations in convenient location

Our apartment was spacious and clean with daily housekeeping. Staff were friendly and helpful. The location is really convenient, close to the shopping areas and Chinatown. Further places like the Crown casino and Queen Vic market are accessible via the nearby trams. An overall enjoyable stay.

Most horrible check in experience

Checked in to our room and found towels stuffed in the opened freezer and towels all over the kitchen floor. Called reception and staff nonchalantly gave us instruction to use more towels from our bathroom to clean up the melting ice as they are defrosting the fridge. Reason being I had requested for early check-in when I booked this 6 months ago. But our flights were subsequently delayed for this trip and we arrived late at night instead. I cannot fathom how this correlates with the fridge defrosting. Floor was still messy and wet as ice continues to melt and we were stuck with no towels to use in our bathroom and a whole bunch of dripping cold towels in the kitchen trying to clean up the mess. Called reception again for help and the same staff (obviously upset with us for delaying her knock off for the day) offered NO apology and instead accused me of ‘raising my voice’ at her. This is clearly a hotel only befitting a one star.

Simple and no-frills stay.

It was a simple and pleasant stay at Adara Collins. Building looks a bit dated and the age shows in the interior and carpet. Kettle was rusty and they did not have a better spare, thankfully Melbourne's tap water is potable though it meant we had to forgo tea and coffee brewing. Convenient location down on Collins Street opposite Regent Theatre, plenty of good dining and shopping options in its vicinity.

Great location, Friendly Staff, Well equipped

It was a pleasant surprise that Adara Collins went beyond my expectations! Although it is situated on a gentle slope, getting to the hotel via the SkyBus and FOC SkyBus Hotel Transfer was a breeze. The apartment was in the heart of Collins Street and basically the best convenience to every where within the Melbourne city. The apartment is very well equipped with all necessities more than sufficient for my 3 nights stay. I love the walk in wardrobe, kitchen, sofa and bed. Only thing was that both the side lamps of the bed were out but it was no biggie. The surrounding was safe as it it near major hotels and just opposite the Regent Theatre. I would recommend Adara Collins to anyone, especially solo travellers if you want a spacious yet affordable space.

Cosy, comfy city stay

right smack in the middle of melbourne's city centre within free tram zone -- this place is family-friendly and accessible to most spots as well as dining options. Staff are super friendly, room comes with full cooking/cleaning facilities with the two bedroom even having a washing machine. Will definitely stay here again!

I was upgraded to a one-bedroom apartment from a studio for no extra charge. Lights and air conditioning were on for my arrival which I appreciated. The apartment was spacious and for the most part spotless. It had a great walk-in shower. The kitchen was a bonus and I was able to cook dinner on both evenings. The bed, whilst firm, was very comfortable and attractively made up. Towels and bathroom supplies were generous. It was exceptionally quiet at the hotel. The staff at reception were well organised and polite. Situated on Collins Street, it made for a wonderful stay. A few details could make the stay exceptional. These would include a spruce-up in the bathroom floor tiling and skirtings, a dishwasher in working order (in the apartment I was given), and new blinds on the large windows. A fly-screen on the openable sash window would also go well as would a clean-up on the window sill. The hotel offered a value-for-money stay in the overpriced city tariff market.

Location was amazing, so close to it all. Value for money was also wonderful. I needed a 2br apartment for my family of 4 that were going to be out and about, so somewhere just to sleep basically. This was perfect. Clean, neat and easily accessible. I do recommend.
