I travelled from Europe to Montreal for my daughter's graduation, I was looking for a place - a very classy place to surprise my daughter for her McGill graduation. The area is popular among young folks and students and this is the only reason I chose it.
I paid $$$$ USD for 4 nights but I decided that it was worth it based on the photos in the listing however; the listing was not representative of the photos.
The entrance has an unclean, dirty appearance.
The unit is small, hot, having a dirty cluttered balcony, again nothing to do with images.
The bedroom was OK having a window with a limited opening having a broken screen.
The furniture in the living room is old and worn out. The black sofa made of artificial leather when opened to make a bed was full of crumbs.
The shower head was constantly dripping.
The listing included a dishwasher although not present.
The property stated Parking included however; when I called the property, they explained that they meant that there is parking nearby for $$ CAD per day. One day later the listing was modified to "parking available".
Of the 4 days wanting to enjoy my daughter's graduation experience I spent one day communicating with Expedia. The response from Expedia was to offer minimal Expedia points, which is nothing, compared to 4 sleepless nights and dissatisfaction.
I strongly believe if Expedia wanted to save its reputation and my daughter's graduation they would have offered another apartment free of charge.
